Home of the Tennessee Volunteers anthem! A historic landmark in the middle of Gatlinburg. Bookings stay at the Gatlinburg Inn is like stepping back into time. After a nice evening sleep , get up and take short walk up to the Old Log Cabin Pancake restaurant for some black walnut pancakes and country sausage with some JFG coffee. One of the best breakfasts in the Smoky Mountains. Then spend the day walking up and down the strip and hitting all of attractions and shops. Finish the day off with a nice meal at the Peddler Steakhouse. Thanks for sharing your visit. God bless and enjoy everyday. - Tennessee Smoky

I love that y’all introduced me to this quaint little Gatlinburg Inn. We’ve visited Gatlinburg twice. Once in 2010 & again in 2012, & I never saw or heard of this place. I just adore historical places like this. I’m so sad we missed it because we would’ve loved to get reservations to stay there. Unfortunately our days of returning to Gatlinburg have ended. My health no longer allows me to travel. It’s always been my favorite thing to do & I miss it so much. Thank both of y’all for letting me follow along on your adventures. I sometimes miss some of your UA-cam’s because I have been having some rough days lately. But when I’m able I’m right there with y’all. God bless each of you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️

Really enjoyed the Gatlinburg Inn video. Yep, I’ve heard all the negative comments, but you must understand, I’m 64 and have been going to the Gatlinburg Inn since I was five. For me it’s a very special place. I have many stories, way too many for a comment. I will say last fall I met one of the current owner family members. While he had much to say he seemed more interested in hearing my stories. My daughter was probably one of the last, if not the last, person to hit a tennis ball on the old courts that are now the back parking lot.

As a child we always stayed here. Later in life my brother and his wife spent their honeymoon there, and several anniversaries. The rules was very strict, as I recall you could not bring food items back to your room. Of course if you bought fudge or something small it was easy to slip in. The rocks was cemented on the wall as I was a high schooler. During parades and events the owners didn’t like people sitting on their wall. The picked pointed rocks to cement to the wall. The breaking point for Mom and Dad was one Summer we was staying there and my cousin and friend came down to walk around with me. The owners or staff would not let my cousin pull in the lot to pick me up. There use to be a gate or a guard that sit at the road. So they never went back, after being such great customers for so many years was hurt by the decisions the hotel had made. Many memories, many memories of staying there.

You guys know I’m from Gainesville Florida a Giant Gators fan. With that being said my favorite song is Rocky Top. I just returned from a week in Gatlinburg and listen to Rocky top 100 times I’m proud of it. We used to stay in a place that was a lot like that. Family owned and operated since the 1930s but unfortunately they lost about half their business to the 2016 fires. They tried to get back on their feet with the business but then COVID hit and they really never could get it back to what it was, disagreements happened and they wound up selling that long standing family business on 321. Gatlinburg Inn reminds us so much of our old favorite place we used to stay. Like you two stated, not outdated but lots of character, comfortable and staff treated us like family. Hard to beat those kind of places in our opinion.

We stayed there about 12 years ago when then older woman was still alive. The place was musty and they would not let you bring any food into your room, We did anyway. The sign out front said NO Motor Cycles, meaning Discrimination to anybody riding a MC.We tried to swim but people would shout crap from the sky ride at my wife so we finally left and found another place to stay. the place was very musty smelling but we were glad to leave. I really don't recommend this place. It's on the strip but not very Comfortable as far as being able to relax.
