Hey friend! Thanks a ton for sharing your drying rack build. I definitely will be doing something similar to your build for mine in the near future. Really enjoyed watching a few of your videos and will be watching the rest later this week. Thanks for sharing!!
Is there any video you could point us to on how to set up the grainger motor you upgraded to? Like any tutorial videos you would find helpful. Would you be able to use the same style rotisserie rod? Where might a guy find one of those rods like the one in this video? Thanks :)
Hey, yeah, sorry about that. I've recently upgraded my motor. The motor in this video worked fine for a while but over time a plastic peice wore out. I got a new motor from Grainger and it is much stronger and more industrial.. I had to wire it up to a switch and power cord but it was worth it.
If you're doing small baits this motor would suit you just fine which you can find here.. Onlyfire Universal Grill Electric Replacement Rotisserie Motor 120 Volt 4 Watt On/Off Switch, Black www.amazon.com/dp/B00X7RKCC4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_k6lyCbG56CCQX
The new motor I upgraded to can be found here: m.grainger.com/mobile/product/DAYTON-AC-Gearmotor-115-Nameplate-52JE17?breadcrumbCatId=5238&fc=MWP2IDP2PCP
Fretthold Baits just a question for you, how were you able to find the metal rod for the Grainger model. I have the exact one but Im unsure what to use to connect the rack too
Fretthold Baits could you please explain how I would go about using the new motor? I’m not the most mechanical person so the how to video was what I was looking for so I had step by step instructions. This video you posted was amazing but I haven’t the slightest clue how to wire up an AC motor and how that would effectively change the rods/configuration. I need something that works long term as I am starting a fishing company of custom lures and would rather spend the extra money in a quality motor setup to avoid the potential issues you mention here. I will be modifying your design by adding foam inserts inside your wooden cage rack design so that I can house significantly more jigs and lures, similar to the design style flex coat 2500 series of the professional series of turners for sale. I dint want to spend $1,000 on the Flex Coat 2500 series lure turner that rivals the one you built for 1/10th the cost. Thanks a million for the response in advance and for being gracious enough to share your work with us. It’s greatly appreciated and is going to save me tons of money.
Man, way nicer than my rack lol! I need to rethink what I’ve got going on. Thank you for sharing! Check out my fishing channel if you feel so inclined :) I haven’t done any lure carving videos just yet but it’s coming.

Excellent tutorial. I'm going to copy this set-up.
Awesome! Thanks again for sharing. This will be a great help when I start to plan out a new drying rack.
Nice that's some great engineering.
New Subscriber. Looking forward to watching your videos!
I'm guessing that expansion nut is for a 3/8" bolt, could you be so kind and tell me the name of it and where you bought it
