- In this video I go over how to set up an SDR as a pan adapter for an external monitor on any ham radio with CAT control. this will work with Icom, Yaesu, kenwood and any other radio you can connect to a computer.

Thank you. Just make sure you use something on the antenna line or you will burn out the front end of the sdr when you transmit. Ask me how I know lol. Good luck let me know how it goes
@@SlowGoose Yes sir, I have the switch box you linked in your description. Everything is ready, just waiting on the cable. BTW - I like your concept of the DIY switch box, was it difficult to build? I do electronic repairs and am intrigued by your box. Keep up the good work, I subbed and look forward to your videos.
@@deankq4adj125thank you. All the box is is a rf tap and a relay that interrupts and grounds the sdr coax. I’ll make a video on the box but it’s not pretty yet.
