what saturation plug in should i buy with my hard earned money!? got the 30 day demo of soundtoys right now and love it. but is there as good or better for cheaper? thanks homie! loved this vid. messed with my guitars a bit this morning and these tips helped. i don:t have soothe and i play fuzzy guitars. help me out
I love fab filter stuff so you can’t go wrong with Saturn 2. But Decapitator from ST is great you just might want to high pass after as it has a tendency to create a little sub rumble
Can't agree more with the approach of using multiple plugins less aggressively for correction (soothe -> Pro-Q3 with Dynamic EQ)! I've had much better results doing it that way than either of those on their own.
Yes, I do the same. Color plugins behave like they are designed to when you correct first. 👍
This approach basically fixes the things I don't like about pultec style EQs. Love it dude!
Sure does! Now you can use those sweet sweet curves without all the irritants
Notchy by nature lol. I liked that saturation. Heavy handed in a nice way for the mix
Great info man!
Thank you!!
