    I appreciate how well you articulated the differences and 'why' it works. The draggy times to provide visual differences was great too.

    Good info. Like that you provided draggy numbers as that’s what most of us do currently with so many tracks closing. 3 seconds faster in a 60-130 is 10 bus lengths lol

    Can confirm this, I had a stock engine 2009 with an Alpha 9, shep stage 1.5. Ran it on E30, kept the torque safe at lower rpms and carried to redline, managed a 9.95 1/4 mile at 142 mph, car was solid, zero issues. 5.7 60-130, seems like aftermarket turbos are safer when tuned properly compared to max effort stock turbos that jam all the torque in at the lower rpms to achieve the ho numbers people are looking for. Higher efficiency turbos, more flow with less heat, better wastegates.

    Great video and very informative for dispelling myths related to power and reliability on the factory R35 powertrain. I had a 2015 alpha 9 with all of the necessary supporting mods and it reliably made about 860whp and 650wtq on ethanol without any issues. Such a fun setup and infinitely more enjoyable than a normal FBO car. Nice work and I can attest to the strength of a setup like this on a factory engine/transmission!

      @evoIX850r 3 місяці тому

      And just to add, although I didn’t log a ton of miles on this setup (~5k), it was extremely solid for multiple seasons. The new owner is continuing to enjoy the car and hasn’t had any reliability issues. Only thing I ever had to worry about with the R35 was keeping it on a battery tender if it was sitting for more that a week, otherwise it was a very good ownership experience.

      @@Haoyeren5566 mid to low 6s depending on aggression of tuning. They can make very good power on 93 but ethanol is much safer because it removes the chance of spark knock which will cause cylinder pressure spikes. These spikes are more concerning at higher power levels on stock engine.

    What happens is they go to the local dog spot and race Z06, Camaro SS/ZL1, Hellcat, the one guy with the fast ass EVO/STI all have a tire. GTR proceed to lose really bad and he makes the call. We’ve all scene this happen before.
