I love the pantera 2 & pantera classic. I'm on the low end of their lineup. My options & yours are different for economic reasons. Good to see a over/under on bc boats. Lots of them in my area. Love the content.
2016 Puma/250 SHO. Best boat I have ever owned and I have owned all the major brands including a previous BassCat. Never had any issues with the boat, so no contact with factory needed. I have ordered extra stuff several times from parts and always a great experience. I have met Rick several times over the years and he always remembers my name and my BBC "handle" as well. Unless something unforeseen happens, I will purchase another one next year (2022).
Basscat does take pride in there customer service I have half my tournament trail running basscat and they have never had a problem with service and yes, they give you a jacket with your name on it when you purchase one
Basscat wins awards every year for best customer service. I have called them numerous times and they have always taken care of me immediately. Rick Pierce the owner also writes a hand writen letter to every person that buys a new cat and sends them a jacket with their name on it and a hat. If you go on the forums everyone raves about their customer service and that was one of the reasons they were at the top of the list when I was shopping. Allen in the parts department is also top notch. Helped me immediately the few times I have called even tho my boats not new
Undervalued most solid boat out there and best customer service in the industry I have no idea why you were struggling getting a hold of someone they have a forum to ask questions are active on the basscat owners group on Facebook and have always answered my calls matter of fact I have a 93 pantera ll and called to ask about what display I had to replace it with the new touch pad and I got an answer within 2 minutes of being on the phone. I really hope that basscat will resolve this issue with you like I know they will. In my opinion it is the only boat to run. And I have a 93 Pll that runs low 70’s with a tournament load and a 93’ mariner 200 with a 23 fury 3 and that’s with 52 gallons of gas two people and live wells full. They definitely are undervalued
Can’t believe they didn’t get back with you.Customer service is second to none.Always get back to me,send me twice as much when I order.Too notch boat and company.Customer service is the best.
No opinion about this but I have one about Andy made my first purchase with them today and guy is Gold no bullshit just honest and really took time to give me advice on how to do things without even trying to sell me the stuff Team Marine gets all my money until I run out. Katrina is a sweetie to. I know it sounds stupid but I can sleep knowing when I wreck my stuff these guys will take care of me, no price shopping needed. Thanks again guys.
My opinion... it’s exactly valued. Not over, not under. Basscat is currently the industry standard. The boat by which all others are judged. The 203 hybrid Puma/Cougar is the best rough water boat money on the market today. A 1999 Mountain Home 203 hull with a Basscat top cap, it’s freaking awesome!. It’s not a go fast boat, but it cuts though the waves damned near as good as the original Champion. What more could you ask for on a big lake like Sam Rayburn?
I’m running a 2007 BassCat Pantera II. Boat has aged well and very solidly built. This is my first fiberglass bass boat and I have made all the mistakes and she keeps going for me. My next boat purchase will be in the next 3 years and BassCat will definitely be one of my top 3 options. I have personally had very good customer service experiences replacing a windshield that I broke with a jig, and front eye that I drive into a dock. Very good people.
I have a 2022 Bass Cat Sabre with a 175 four stroke. In fact if you go to their website that is my boat does pictured under the Sabre. After raising the motor from the factory I have been able to get 69.5 out of my boat with another person and 3/4 tank of gas and all my tackle. This little boat is amazing
I’ve had BassCat since 1994, a 1995 Pantera which I still have and still looks great. I also have a 2018 Cougar. I have found that their customer service is as exceptional as their boats are. Whether I call the main office or parts, or contact them on the BCB forum, they have always been very responsive. These days there are far fewer quality built boats, BassCat is at the top of the list.
On my second Cat both are Pantera II Bought my 1st one from Sherms Marine in Indiana and the second from Boatmasters in Livermore Calif. on my first boat never had to call the shop but once I went and participated in a Warrior tournament and took two Marines fishing, well if you give a Marine a bowling ball he will do one of three things with it. break it, loose it or get it pregnant. Well they broke the frame to the folding I called the factory and told them what happened and expected to pay for it I was simply told Sounds like a warranty issue a frame will be on its way tomorrow. My current boat is a 19ft 2021 Panterra II and runs with tourney load low 70's and just me and all my stuff 75. I live in Ranger, Skeeter,Nitro ville. The Nitro dealer 20 minutes away, the ranger dealer 30 min away the skeeter dealer an hour away. Theres a reason I drove 7 hours one way to get my Cat.
I have a puma and will never buy another brand of boat. it blows my mind overtime I'm out. I've called bass cat a few times, have only had to leave a message once and they got right back to me. also received a letter from mr. pierce when I joined quest. I can order any part I want for my 15 year old boat and have it shipped to my door, usually within a week.
Any chance of getting a review or over/under of the BCB Caracal? The layout is intriguing and I'm curious about the price point since it runs a 225. Love the videos!
Not sure who you were calling but you’re TOTALLY wrong about getting a hold of anyone. I get a hold of someone EVERY time I call. Customer service is AMAZING!!
I like all the info you gave on the puma. Knowing me I'll have it at 80 grand. LOL. Also I see you have an AMS OIL sign in the background. Do you use there product and do you like it?
Does it have a composite transom and stringer? I know Champion was late to the party changing from wood to composite. If it has wood, be careful about rot.
I had the exact same issue as you did without having Basscat returning any of my phone calls or emails. That really is a pet peeve with me when a company doesn't have the common courtesy to return a phone call or respond to an email about a bass boat inquiry.

What are your thoughts on the 203 hybrid from bass cat 🐈 ??? From one champ guy to another? Having a hard time on pulling the trigger on a puma 203 bass cat hybrid or a charger 210 elite???? Even know Kelly says " charger is going to release 203 soon". The fit and finish seems a little better on bass cat.
Bass cat Margay/ Bobcat? Anyone know anything about them? Looks like a super solid boat. One for sale near by only has a 115 pro xs… good deal though. Would be my first bass boat. Any opinions?
Top notch! Actually just talked to Richard in service yesterday. Any issues I have had have been taken care of promptly and professionally. Always a plus when the owner calls you back to make sure that you have been taken care of!
Not bad as my trition customer service experience. It took them 1 year and 2 mths to send me a quote then said they would have redo a quote since that was quote for a 2020 trition, wtf 🤷
Alan in parts is the man at bass cat! I've met Rick, talked to Richard on the phone and had a tour with Jackson. Seat locking mechanism broke on my seat(boat was a month old) , Alan asked for Vin, I gave it to him, he confirmed correct address on file, I had a tracking number in less than an hour, and a new seat within 3 days. I think they are 2nd to none customer service wise.
I own a 2016 puma that I bought from original owner at 1 yr old. Noticed one day my horn quit working called parts talked to Alan, he asked my vin and shipped me new replacement free of charge. I have owned 5 different models over the years and anytime I've called the factory had no issues at all. Bought a 94 eyra and called about the setup with a merc promax and called with questions and got hold of ivan right away with a wealth of information. Mind you this was a 94 model boat in 2015 and they treated me like I was a new boat owner.
Is there any boat mfg that provides good customer support? I have a skeeter fx21 and tried getting support on how to prevent screws from popping out, no response.
As a bass cat owner I’m here to tell you they’re one of the best customer service organizations in the country. And that is not because I drink Bass Cat. I have never dealt with the dealer and I’ve been able to deal with him directly with a single phone call so I don’t know how you’re saying they won’t answer the phone. But they do not allow you to order a customized boat directly throught them, that all goes through dealers from my understanding. But if you own one you will get serviced. I just had a wheel destroyed last weekend, nothing with bass cat was the problem, I called them and my new tire&wheel just showed up this morning. That was a phone call, me to them and no dealer. They are amazing and if you still question, just go to one of there OI's(owners inviation) and you will see the entire family. In fact in October lasy year at the OI, one of the boats staying where I was unloaded the boat and the bunk board broke off(old and roted). He call bass cat which was just up the road. They said they don't make those any more because they are old. They would have to get back to him. He told him that he was at the OI and couldn't load his boat. They took the mold out and made one that day to give to him. I don't think he even paid for that replacement. they are awesome.
@@TeamMarineService I just updated my comment and gave two examples. Literly last saturday the 20th, my problem happened and it was resolved this morning when my wheel/tire should up.
I agree with you on customer service..... These boats are more than my first started home in 1996. If you want me to spend that type of money on a new boat. You better call me. That’s not asking too much. I don’t mind dealers, but dealers don’t know everything; ie what can be added and or subtracted. Let’s say I’m KVD. You know he got a return call (immediately), probably from the owners conference room with his entire build and design team all with tongues hanging out. That’s how it should be with anyone willing to spend 80k on any boat brand. There are very few KVD’s in the world that will ever make a mark on a brand....but there are a lot of weekend no bodies that think they will be the next KVD and are willing to sell their body parts to be in a basscat or another high end boat. These are the people that are keeping your lights on, employees paid, feeding your family.
That is odd. I literally had a 20 minute conversation with Rick Pierce yesterday. Not once have I had an issue with customer service with Bass Cat. With that said, I don't think it is overpriced at all. Especially when you compare it to that Lund Pro V Bass 2075 you priced at $76k
It seems like our calls not being answered have just been a hiccup on their end. A couple weeks after we called Rick up personally and had a great chat. With that said we considered the Cat Undervalued
Under valued IF we hear that they have backed their products at all levels. The price you pay for what you are getting (comparatively speaking) sure points to a pretty good value for a product with a pretty good history.
Hey Andy or Jordan, who ever watches the videos an gets back to the people supporting the channel. In 1999 the Basscat Pantera 2 was 33,995.00 with 200 Merc, the Charger 395 TF with Yamaha VMAX 3.1 OX66 for 26,999.00. I picked the Charger because I was told from a Guide on Lake Fork it had a Champion Hull. Is that True from yall's experience?
Every question has been answered and problem has been addressed promptly. I ordered part online with trailer serial number not boats got a call from them within a hour. No complaints and I even bought a used boat.
Makes no sense in today's world that people can't at least acknowledge your interest and return emails. I have always considered Bass Cats as great boats, but never owned one. I have met Rick Pierce and think he is a stand up guy. But if a boat seller won't talk to you when you are even thinking about shelling out 80 k, what's going to happen after you've spent the money? Crickets? As always I enjoy these videos. Keep them coming Andy!
I was told there using water bottles instead of Marnie foam because they cant get the foam. And apparently the factory in AR admitted to it and said it would be fine. 🤔
With everyone’s layouts going Non traditional, do yourself a favor, why waste money? Drive to Mt Home, listen to the Pitch, and go for a ride in a 22’ Jaguar with a 450R, may not be your size range, but when your Puckering Up at 97mph on Lake Norfolk!!!! Doing a 72mph Breach Turn in a 250 Powered Puma FTD is insane
Top quality for that price but 2 things I don't like the weird live wells and not sure if all models have 2 gas tanks but the lynx does and I'd prefer 1
@@joshystenes8284 3 lithiums, no lithium starting batteries. Regardless of the price, 1k, 2k it doesn't matter. If you can afford a 79K bass boat, you can afford lithium batteries.
The fishing world is separating the rich and the poor. You dont need a fancy boat or fancy rods and reels but everything in the fishing industry is way overpriced and for well over half of the customer base its nearly impossible to buy a setup like this or any boat for that instance hell used boats are ridiculously overpriced you could buy a used fiberglass boat for 40k and not know anything about what youre getting. I love fishing. I hate the market.
I’ve learned that you either love a bass cat or hate them. I personally don’t care for them. I’m sure they are great but I look at it and just say yuck in my head. Looks like a brand new old boat.
I don't understand this....$80K to catch a bass? Are you Roland Martin or KVD? Are you making big bucks fishing tournaments or just like spending $100 on fuel, thousands on boat insurance, maintenance expenses, etc..every year? And the depreciation cost....ouch. How about this, spend 30K on a bass boat...maybe a Ranger RT198P that goes 60mph...and 80K on a new corvette? It's "just" 30k more to get both!
@@TeamMarineService I guess so. I fish the lower miss and find the 10’s to be invaluable. Some of our lakes are so shallow you can you use the tens all day. I find the 7-8 foot of water the depth that I need them most. I sure wish they would come out with an add on, that would allow us to hold in 9-10 feet. @@jaysonsetzer2287 p2 has a few more options the classic is more of an entry level boat
@@danieljohnson8745 I also noticed that the classic is a little longer but the II is a bit wider beam. I would love to be able to afford one someday.
@@jaysonsetzer2287 p2 is wider in the back deck but the classic has a huge front deck
@@danieljohnson8745 being a little longer and more narrow in the rear the classic probably has a better big water ride
Love Bass cat's
WHAT ABOUT THE CHAMP BUILD?
The 203 Puma would be the exact same price. That’s the old Champ hull with a Puma or Cougar cap. Just FYI.
Please do a pheonix next!! Really enjoy the content!!👍👍👌
Nope they did not
I agree with your thoughts... it is a okay boat ..other boats very similar... but customer service is very important...
Did you order your new hats with the Skelton logo yet????????
They should make one that is huge and can run that 600 Mercury v12 with the two speed transmission.
Can you do A BASS CAT Caracal boat review?
We will give Rick a call and chat about it
@@TeamMarineService love watching all the content you all put out! Thanks so much for your reply!
When is the Phoenix video coming out?!!
Every question has been answered and problem has been addressed promptly. I ordered part online with trailer serial number not boats got a call from them within a hour. No complaints and I even bought a used boat.
I agree great boat but will not talk to me....... I’m in the market for a boat but now I’m hesitant about buying a Cat
Fair market value?
What was written on your shirt?
Big square consoles. That could be a 2020 model. 😂 they still have a slight 80’s look.
on track with the rest...
You need to do a video on Phoenix boats!!
19ft series please 20ft are like 10k more for a little bit more glass
After the 20ft glass series concludes we will enter the 19ft series! 🤘🏻
Love the duct tape on the hoodie. Should have used red sharpie easier to read 😆😆😁😁😁😜🤣
Keep them coming Andy!
looks like they don't value as a customer. doesn't matter how you spin it period. sad.
If you notice the CEO has responded to this video...
I was told there using water bottles instead of Marnie foam because they cant get the foam. And apparently the factory in AR admitted to it and said it would be fine. 🤔
OMG we certainly hope that isn't the case!!! WOW!!!
Context on this one?????
"One of our favorite motors of all time" 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 We are comedians sometimes!!
@@TeamMarineService whats coming down the line from Suzuki you keep hinting at? 😶😶
@@granthintonoutdoors I was wondering the same thing. I thought that info was coming out at the beginning of the year
@@TeamMarineService any updates on the update?
Andy, don't leave it up to us!
We can price the boats ourselves. We're asking for YOUR Over/Under son!
Haha we get it David! Ultimately we undervalued the Puma just because it is a solid boat and a fair price compared to the competition!
I'm picking up what your putting down. I smell what you're eating.
I've just never been a fan of BassCat. I hate their layouts
With everyone’s layouts going
Non traditional, do yourself a favor, why waste money? Drive to Mt Home, listen to the Pitch, and go for a ride in a 22’ Jaguar with a 450R, may not be your size range, but when your Puckering Up at 97mph on Lake Norfolk!!!! Doing a 72mph Breach Turn in a 250 Powered Puma FTD is insane
Are we going to see an over/under on the new Gambler?
This dude is entertaining as hell 😂😂 never change bro you make awesome content!!
Why in the hell would anybody buy a new Nitro when they can spend a bit more and get a Puma FTD SP???
Because you call Johnny's sales people get a quote 😂. Hard buy boat when it takes 6 mths just get price quote.
because they don't want a stupid square steering wheel and triangle lids
@@jimk4267 ill still take bass cat over ranger or nitro lol. Speed, good ride, handles in rough water, fishish good.
Probably because the price is 16000$ difference.
Top quality for that price but 2 things I don't like the weird live wells and not sure if all models have 2 gas tanks but the lynx does and I'd prefer 1
Basscat Caracal!!!!!
Seems like about what you get for 80K these days. Not undervalued and not over priced any more so that most.
Undervalued
Why you guys still using AGM, and not switched to lithium?
Because not everyone is rich
@@joshystenes8284 lol can spend 79K on a boat but can't afford 1Knon batteries?
Find me 4 lithium’s for $1k and I will gladly buy them
@@joshystenes8284 3 lithiums, no lithium starting batteries. Regardless of the price, 1k, 2k it doesn't matter. If you can afford a 79K bass boat, you can afford lithium batteries.
What lithium’s for you run?
😀I know every body don't want this😞but I do😁. A trolling motor brand battle ok Andy😜🤓
Can we see some where the boats are rigged with 300 &/or 400hps.? .....
I also had to call twice ... till I got what I needed...
They are nice boats! I wont never pay 80k for a bass boat!!
Here’s a tip. When you call BC, speak in complete sentences using words, no whistling or hand gestures.
I knew i was doing something wrong Jason! Thanks for the tip bud
Ok its spring...DD26 video please...slow mo
Yeah get out of the hood lol had me busting out. 80k sounds good for that boat vrs others whats up with the duck tape on the 9k hoodie lol
Fair price hate the wet well layout
Not the same without the Nitro in the background
Hahaha It sure ain't! But don't worry, it's out in the yard and will be making another appearance soon!
10k less than a boat I was talking high about
Just say the facts and ditch the drama whistleboy
Says the guy named Booger!!!! Hahahahaha!!!!!!
This is cheaper than the gator trax....guarantee it rides way better too.
I hope that this thing has a personal outhouse and wipes your bass.
Way over priced compared to buying a house.
Valid point Jay!
Why 8 foot vs 10 foot, with all of this other shit ?
8 footers travel better and we just prefer them! We fish the upper Mississippi and 8'is all ya need
I’ve heard so much bad shit about the minn Kota options, that I can’t consider them.
I’m pretty sure that the problem you have is yourself. You’re on an island with the complaint about customer service at BC. After watching you communicate I bet they think you are a prank caller.
You are 100% correct Jason! Hey....wait a minute...you aren't a BCB customer service rep are you?
Over priced too narrow of a boat for me
Nope! Sorry....over-priced! 80k for that and no communication? Nope!
Over priced
