Glad ya'll are safe and alive. Haven't seen anything in a couple of months. So what are ya'lls plans? Sail around the world or just up and down the coast? Ok until next time, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Who knows maybe ya'll well sail here to the Big Island someday!
We end up shootong offshore from VA to PR but end up im the DR. We are currently exploring the us and british virgin islands (our videos are a bit behind). We have been having alot of friends and family visit us so it has been hard to sit down and edit
Did you all just moor in Boston or get a slip? How friendly is the city to liveaboards? I'm from NH and would love to head up to Boston on my boat someday!
Please tell me? Do you have any concerns to find a place to do a haul out? My biggest concern i do not like sail drives. Too much maintenance. We don't have yards here at Panama City Florida that could take a Neel 51 out of the water. I need a shaft drive they can go for years if painted properly without being hauled out. I don't wanna haul out every year just to maintain the sail drive.
Great boat... love these Neel 51s. Thanks for the super video.

When i tender into areas like this, ( 5:07) ill anchor and back down on shore. Then tie off to land if possible. Nice boat.
It's pretty cool to see your trip from Boston down to Newport! Our cruising waters ;)
I'm originally from Boston myself. Now I'm an Alaskan

we moored I do not think they allow anchoring except for a specific area of the harbor
How do you rate the Leisure Furl so far?? And are there any issues with using the topping lift to hoist the dinghy??
it is a learning curve. we have added a crane to load and unload the tender and replaced the carbon tender with a center console. ~500lbs
Hiya guys, new sub here. What is your ultimate destination on this leg? Thanks.
Grenada
Hey guys I was just wondering is your in boom/in mast furling system factory or did you custom fit that
It was installed at the factory. I have mixed feelings about it. Its nice not to mess with lazy jacks but it is a bit of a learning curve at times.

we have hauled out three times without issue in US (NH), BVI, and Grenada. Its always stressful hauling out though :-/
