Having a Pipeline "Masters" without JOB is like peanut butter without jelly. It wasn't that long ago when John John was asked who he thought the best Pipe surfer was and he immediately answered Jamie.
@@SurfSplendor I think context was more about current crop, not necessarily best ever. It kind of surprised me when I heard him answer that way, but then I thought about it and kind of had to agree, I mean if JJF thinks so, who am I to argue?
1 or 2 carefully chosen boards can probably cover you for most occasions, but how about this: a small single fin and a big single fin, a small twinny and a big twinny, a groveller and a performance thruster, a small quad and a big quad. this translates to a quiver of 8 boards; small boards for small waves, small boards for good waves, big boards for small waves, and big boards for big waves. mix up the constructions, go for an assortment of classic, timeless designs from legendary shapers, and unusual designs (asyms and such) from young up n coming shapers - boards from all over the world. keep an interesting quiver of fins on hand and you can turn one board into several boards. This is a recipe for endless joy - the full spectrum technicolor experience. No matter what the ocean is doing, you can be out there having fun and catching waves. Live your own electric acid Surfboard test!
@@SurfSplendor the longboard would fall under “big single fin” if you so choose. Personally I would choose a glider over a longboard, but then I’ve never really surfed longboards…
Jesus says it well. Come to me and drink the water I give and you will never thirst again. The water we chase in the world will always lead to self and death

Yeah, thought JJF said something like that. That's super high praise. Top 5 for sure?

For San Diego my quiver is a 9’ glider, 7’ mid length, 5’11 fish, and a step up.
Bases covered or is there something you're missing?
@ maybe a Christenson 5’6 ocean racer and 6’8 long phish 👍😂
Seriously guys, I’ve come to a place that I cannot live without The Grit!
Thank you DL & Chaz
JohnnySunami you rock! Thanks so much for supporting the shows!

this is a well thought out plan, but any answer above 5 is really pushing it. and where does a longboard come in?
The last three sentences strongly resonate.

Jersey Mike's #4 on rosemary parm for the win, cherry relish on the side
what are you drinking with that?
I don’t wanna watch JOB lose another heat on a soft top.
Agreed. Jamie is welcomed, not soft top JOB
I'd say 4, a fish, grovel, high performance, and step up for the big dogs. Even though I have more than that, I feel I'd be fine with 4.
If I had to only have three I’d do
Short board
Good wave short board
Step up board
You must be less than 45 years old?
co co co
Oh yawl. - something gnu * I mean canoe

The water we chase in the world will always lead to self and death
Certainly a great path! All roads lead to death however.
@SurfSplendor Jesus overcame death. Two ways to live one that leads to life one to death.
What is the gospel message to you?
