Ratchet:Deadlocked is the best game in the whole franchise. It needs a remaster, or at the very least for us to be able to download the game from the PS store over only streaming it.

The stun lock combo on the sumo shirt is the same reason that the flamethrower in Silent Hill 3 is super broken. It's an unlock that you can get after beating the game and then starting a new game +. It does a modest but not ridiculous amount of damage and doesn't down anything in one hit, but since it lets out a continuous stream and enemies will cycle through a damage animation when hit, AND since it's infinite amo, you can just hold down the attack button to melt through most enemies.
I would have gone with 'The Real Mega Buster' from Dead Rising. 300 shots. 1 shot kills everything. 3-4 shots kills most bosses. And it respawns in the security room. Makes the game a cakewalk.

Soul Reaver 2. The Soul Reaver sword in the final sequence. You have access to it's wraith form the whole game, but the physical form removes all drawbacks, including vulnerability. The writing and performance leading up to that point makes the finale some of the finest, most satisfying catharsis gaming may ever have

This is WAY back, but getting the actual Mana Sword through a glitch (because it wasn't supposed to be possible outside of the final boss fight) in Secret of Mana made everything ridiculously easy.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night- Shield Rod and Alucard Shield. The Shield Rod plus virtually any shield put the game to easy mode, but the Alucard Shield had you deal massive damage with just a touch, while healing yourself. Dracula himself would fall in seconds.

the Saints Row the Third combo of "no damage from explosions", "no ragdoll", "infinite explosive ammo" and a rocket launcher is also quite a strong one, letting you freely use high explosives in melee range. Even if it might not exactly count, given the multiple parts...

another great overpowered unlock is the stasis mod from dead space 3. add this mod to a flame weapon or a machine gun and you become god. basically the first hit puts the enemy in stasis and then you just destroy them before then can even get close to you.

Funny that a Ratchet and Clank game got a different name in the UK when that also happened to Jak II. Ironically I find the UK ones to almost be more fitting .

Vampire Survivors: it's not just one weapon that makes you feel like a god, it's the other 5 upgraded weapons you're using simultaneously that does.
Give a character a 1 weapon run and said character has 10k+ golden eggs 🎉

I miss fun stuff like this in games. It boggles my mind when we cant just have fun with stuff like this especially in single player games, but I cant even be completely mad at devs because the amount of times Ive seen people on Steam complain about something being too OP in games is freaking mind boggling. Okay? You dont HAVE to use it. Why ruin everyone elses fun to get something nerfed.
I'm pretty sure alloys ancient armory armor set should be on here mdi not be a weapon but Def makes your Nora girl into a darn god
X times you could buy a an item with real world money and just beat the game at any difficulty with this new item with ease.

My eyes teared up when someone finally mentioned Ratchet & Clank: Gladiator🥺🥺🥺. That and Jak X, are 2 of my most favourite PS2 games of all time🫶
love deadlocked too - and despite it's lack of success, seems they liked the augment idea enough to give the future games it sort of in raritanium upgrades. And multishot missile launchers were the norm now, rather than a superweapon.
Jak X over the 3 far better primary series? Really, we're you a huge smugglers Run fan on ps2 when it launched in America? 😂

Ratchet and clank wasn't exactly that different.
I mean, action platformer to racing, sure. Third person rpg with weird weapons is still pretty much deadlocked.
Personally, i would just prefer if every single-player game available just had cheat codes.
I miss the pre ps3 and xbox360 era. Gamesharks xploders gamegenies actionreplays. Damn even cheatcode books given away with the console magazines. Such a good time

@@sargetyu me too. At one time, a game WITHOUT cheat codes was considered the exception to the rule. Now they're pretty much extinct, except for a few indie games maybe.
@@clericofchaos1 they need a comeback and should only work in offline single player and private online matches so me and the boys can goof around online with cheats with eachother and not affect other players
@@sargetyu totally agree. Multiplayer with big head mode activated is iconic.

Potentially controversial opinion: there's no such thing as an overpowered weapon in a single player game, but any weapon that you get at the end of the game (or in new game plus) is a complete waste.
