You lucky devil. Put your hand on a disk and pull it off. Tried that, then a club hammer, then a big bearing puller, then hammer/Puller/heat altogether, finally after 25 minutes worh of battle it came off! That said I find your videos useful and informative. Thanks very much.

hi, thanks for the video, very well made indeed.
What is the "special copper grease" spray for the hub / disc interface?
Wouldn't normal copper slip grease do or for that matter silicone or lithium grease (as they are good for high temperature applications)? Or does it have to be copper grease for some technical reason? I've seen green corrosion build up where the hub pokes through the disc centre (between the disc and the hub) which is clearly the copper reacting in some way. Easy to chisel off though.
Also I notice you don't put any copper grease on the ears of the brake pads where there is contact with the carrier iron - which tends to be universally recommended for squealing reasons so that was a surprise. And were the anti rattle shims replaced too?
Finally is the handbrake auto adjust mechanism affected by this process at all?
    thx

autodoc.sk thanks for the response, what grease would you recommend for the sliding calliper bolts? is silicone grease ok because of the rubber? thx.

Thank you for the feedback! The use of copper lubricant is due to the fact that comparatively recently other lubricants simply did not exist. With the development of technology, have appeared many high-temperature lubricants, which are often even better suited to the tasks assigned. Otherwise, you are right, you should replace anti rattle shims and apply grease to all contact surfaces, but the video is familiarized and some obvious technical nuances have been missed to save time.Best regards, Autodoc.

Silicone grease, it's the only transparent grease I know!

The grease should be Graphite or molybdenum because of the hight temperature. Best Regards, Autodoc.

Thank you for the feedback! Some molybdenum greases can be quite light as well. Best regards, Autodoc.
