      Dear Mr @nextgen1939,
I am in the same situation as you described and feel the same way. I have had my hand held for many months by a knowledgeable scientist countless miles away as I endeavor to understand my health situation.
None of the doctors in my area know anything at all about long COVID. Whether they feel gagged by the government, or see the condition as a deep swamp that they don’t want to enter I don’t know.

My husband had a vagus nerve stimulator implant for seizures in 2020 during the covid outbreak. He has been vaccinated numerous times starting in 2021 and had no side effects. I'm convinced this implant has been instrumental in limiting his seizures and also protecting him from vaccine injury. I wait and pray he stays healthy. His implant stimulator activates when his heart rate has a sudden change. With his device he can use a magnet to boost the stimulator if he feels a seizure coming on. This device really works... amazing.

I too have been effected by C and vaccine Injury.
One thing which drastically helped some of my conditions and also six friends now has been a high dose of B1 Benfotiemne synthetic Vitamin B1
It gets into your cells more easily.
      I'm taking 900mg per day.
You should speak with your Dr first and have a liver function test to ensure it's safe for you.
B1 is needed in the metabolizing of glucose in your cells. Therefore ideally more energy for cells to repair.
A new study from Holland you can google Long covid mitochondria study and you'll see it can effect the mitochondria.
B1 is needed for mitocondria and also helps with nerves, it also seemed to help with Pots syndrome with not waking so often at night.
You can also search on here Benfotiemne as there are many very informative videos 👍🏼

If you believe the vagus nerve stimulation will help you, yoga has positions, etc, which one can moderate to a very tiny effect. We did some vagus nerve stimulation in Kundalini yoga, but most people think that style is too difficult. Check it out. Just going into child's pose could help. That pose is very simple. All the best!

Also,,, For people out there that can't afford a device like this. You can stimulate the Vagus nerve yourself. Cold face dunking or a cold pack on the forehead, paramedics will use this for people suffering with vaso vagal syncope. You can massage the the tragus and ear in general. You can also hum as there are branches of the vagus in the throat. A google search will point the way 🙂

    • @Merogenomics
      @Merogenomics  4 місяці тому +1

yes, absolutely there are ways that people can try on their own as well. In the next video in the series I will describe how vagus nerves can differ between people and how some nerves might require more stimulus than others, so I imagine there is always going to be a variation to effectiveness to any of the techniques. So I am a proponent of using them all! :)

Just learned from Dr. David Brownstein that any mineral sea salt (no white salt) is essential for a healthy vagus nerve and nervous system!!
After one week taking 1/2 tsp. of mineral salt a day, I am SO much better!!
My vagus nerve disregulation is better: stomach/diaphragm are not spasming, toes not curling, heart not pounding!!
I never liked salt, never added any to food. Symptoms of disregulation actually began almost two decades ago!

Many years ago, a company created a similar device, that had electrode clips for both ear lobes. A hand held remote with a wire connected to the ear units, with volatage levels, pulse speed, etc. A friend got one and it had to be used carefully, as the voltage could cause you to get dizzy and pass out. i never saw it go anywhere. I'm sure this unit, is an evolved form of the same thought process.

The tell-tale test of vagus nerve disregulation is a lack of gag reflex.
I totally lost my very strong gag reflex this spring.
The cardiologist knows nothing of this issue!
I do NOT have long COVID BUT last Autumn I began developing vagus nerve disregulation that is affecting my otherwise healthy heart, diaphragm/stomach, and my toes sometimes curl even though my magnesium is high normal because I have done Epsom salt soaks for years. My calcium is high normal and everything else is good.
My chiropractor talked about this device!
She is performing cranial-sacral therapy on me. After the first treatment, I got back a tiny bit of the gag reflex, most of it back after three sessions, and it seems to be strong after five sessions. But, my diaphragm still cramps up and spasms after eating even a small meal.
There is also acupuncture and cryo-therapy - very affordable and better than living on the awful drug I have to take to keep my heart rate below 150!!
I got Covid only once in January, 2022, after the Fraud said Covid could be in the air and three mid-West States had our skies heavily sprayed in a cloth-like pattern. Almost everyone was very sick - even the jabbed!! I got strep at the same time for the first time in my 62 years - and I took care of others with strep and never caught it. My tonsils abscessed!! Then, I got thrush!! It was awful!! But, I managed to stay out of the hospital!

I take 900mg of Benfotimne.( 1or 2 in morning 1 or 2 at night, so as to not pass it all straight away)
I found it's well priced from pipingrock suppliments in USA 👍🏼
You can also watch videos on EONutrition on UA-cam from a great nutritionist who covers so much information about B1 benfotiemne.
I'll also add B1 as thiamine is used in drug and alcohol wards to assist people with nervous system problems. So it must help with the autonomic nervous system, vagus nerve or brain. I'll add before benfotiemne is not have even been able to share this information with you due to the cognitive issues with concertration.

Then support " the open medicine foundation" , a non for profit organization looking at the metabolic characteristics of this disease that go way beyond vagal tone.
Their leader is Dr Ron Davies from Stanford. The guy who invented the human genome project. His son has severe m.e. a sister illness to long COVID. He has a working theory that he thinks may cure it.
Also look at the work of bob naviaux. His work on mitochondria is far more compelling than cheap trucks like this.

The way I see it, usually there are confluence of biological events taking place. As mentioned in the video, this is a complementary tool. I would imagine it can help some, and some it will not, not unlike what we often see in medicine, where medications can help to varying degree, including not helping some at all. CFS appears complex and still not fully understood from mechanistic point of view, so will person's biology be responsive enough to one approach vs the other

never studied their science but biggest issue is that you are electrically activating the vagus nerve that then sends signals to your brain and heart. So this is not something you want to experiment with I would think but rather go with certified device
