We used the Ski Schule GaPa, where you can also rent your ski equipment (at additional cost to the ski lessons). Their office is by the parking lot at Hausberg.
You can also store your ski equipment overnight free of charge if renting for multiple days (not sure if the other schools do the same). There are different ski schools, but the training area is the same.
If you are skiing for the first time, mention at the ticket counter (Hausbergbahn) that you are with the ski school, and that you only need a ticket for the 'Kinderland' area (to save some money 💰). The ticket cost will be €30 (adult), or (16€, child), compared to the day ticket of €50 for the full Garmisch Classic ski area.
The standard training packages were for 3h. Best to take the morning session, and practice what you learnt in the afternoon.
