I love how mine doesnt have those aux and usb ports in the center console even tho its a facelift, love it
It's probably due to the trim level of the car. I know that some CCC head units are part of the "business only" E60 trim, which usually has more limited options for entertainment. It should be possible to retrofit the USB and aux port though. However, if you go through that trouble, it's better to either upgrade to CIC or better yet, a suitable Android head unit / "infotainment" system.
@@FoulNews I have the CIC, but for some reason there aint a usb and aux in the center console, so weird for a car like this lol
@@noxlight5564 Seems like it might be trim-level related then. I'd check the glovebox for a USB outlet as some CIC's had them there and it's also where most people add a USB outlet after a CIC retrofit if their car didn't come with a CIC. If it does exist there, then you may just need to run an AUX cable from the CIC to the glovebox to have both.
Thank you. This was simple. I purchased this exact device and it’s awesome. I have a CIC system in my 2010 E60.
@@kitcarbp777 Glad to hear that it's working well for you!
my 2005 e60 doesnt have that aux port
so i connected aux cable back side of car audio
still not working maybe i need e60 aux activator...
is there any way to activate aux?
Very nice thank
Thank for very nice thank compliment
Does this have any kind of voice introduction, I’m not trying to hear anything when it powers on
Fortunately this particular bluetooth adapter doesn't make any startup sounds.
Hahaha I just heard “Zhe Bluetooth dewice is ready tuo pair” in my head when I read your comment.
@@sylism5086right! Lmao been through too many and this one although doesn’t have that sound it still says “connected” which I mean ain’t too bad but it does say something mike 🤦🏻♂️
Mine has no usb
BMW Bluetooth is best Bluetooth
It's the ONLY Bluetooth, GOBBLESS.
Will it interfere with the phone function that the car comes with
Nope, you can still connect to the factory phone bluetooth the same way or use this module for calls.
I bought a Multimedia for BMW e60 520d 2008. I mainly bought it because of the navigation and music. So I dont know how to explain what I'm going to ask you but the situation is like this - originaly I dont have a USB port or Bluetooth in my car. I only have aux and I dont have any problems with aux. But when I try to play music from Multimedia CarPlay that I have bought, from USB port or from bluetooth on the carplay the music is very strange. You hear everyting but the vocal or bass. You mainly hear back vocals. Do you have any idea why, I tried everything, sound settings does not help. I think the main thing is that the car doesnt originaly have usb or bluetooth music mods. So do you maybe have any explanation or suggestion?
Maybe some cable isnt connected properly, that's the only explanation I can think of
Hello, is there any noticeable sound difference between this and if you were to use standard aux
Hello, I haven't noticed any difference between the two, but it should be noted that I haven't used the AUX port directly with any device in quite some time, other than the Bluetooth adapter itself. For me, it works great and sounds pretty good too.
@@FoulNews thankyou for the vid. Been using a lighting splitter all this time but will now invest in this
I have a 2010 528i AUX and USB in the same location as yours. I purchased this the other day and I cant seem to get it connected. Blue light blinking, phone recognizes it but fails to actually pair. I took it inside my house to try a another usb outlet and it paired fine. I cant find anything online about it...
It sounds like a few things could be happening here.
1. Your E60's USB outlet isn't providing enough current or voltage to the USB. You can check this buy using a USB voltage and current tester, which can be found fairly cheap on Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress etc... Just make sure that if you order one that it'll fit within the confines of the center console.
2. The USB module may be a different version and may require more power than the USB outlet in the center console can provide.
3. The USB module is defective and will only work with higher current USB outlets.
I'd recommend double checking the specs on the USB bluetooth module that you have and see what the minimum voltage and current requirements are for it, then make sure your center console's outlet is sufficient enough to provide adequate power or find a module that requires less power if that's the case.
Hi, I have an 2006 e60 but it doesn't have a USB port or aux input, is there any way to be able to listen to music that isn’t an fm transmitter?
You should be able to add an aux port to your CCC head unit. Many people usually just run them into the glovebox if theirs didn't come with one from the factory. From there you could wire up a USB port as well for power. I'd recommend making sure it's fused and on KL30, but activated by KL15.
Is it possible with a bluetooth adapter for the 30 pin ipod connector?
It should work if you get the right adapter for it.
Does it work on 2006 BMW E60?
It depends. Some pre-LCI E60's don't have the aux port + USB slot in the center console. If youre has the usb slot and aux port there, then it will work just fine.
@@FoulNews what if have aux but no USB port can I plug it into a separate USB port?
@@devsujitsujit141 Yes. It only uses the USB port for power.
@@FoulNews thanks abundance, will try it out..
@@FoulNews Great news followed all the steps u shared n finally after yrs using my e60 now I can enjoy music from utube music n spotify...thanks brother
Bit late but does this work on E60 2004?
It'll work if there's an auxiliary input and USB powered port available somewhere. I'm not sure about the 2004 center console though, but if yours has these ports, it should work.
i have a 2008 535xi but the USB and Aux do not work they are in the same place as yours any idea why ?
Is there any power at the USB outlet?
@@FoulNews no power at the outlet for my 535i
@@tymothy_m9r It could either be the fuse, the port itself, wiring to the port or the USB hub it's broken and needs to be replaced.
@@FoulNewsI checked the fuse wasn't blown, but there alot of corrosion on the units under the spare tire and some of the pins in the connector broke off.
I have an e88 and have a usb and aux. I rent the car on Turo and offer bluetooth to my guests. Does this always go into pair mode without haveing to push any buttons? I try to hide the device because people are pieces of shit and steal my amazon ones.
Will this work for 650i ?
As long as the 650i you have has a USB port and Aux port near one another, then yes it will work. You would just have to select Aux as the input on the radio as shown for it to play through bluetooth.
