I don't have kids but I'm always thankful for videos like this to remind me that it's not simple! I'm glad you're able to detangle in the shower and save a lot of time like that. My hair is way too fragile for that unfortunately.

See, I'm suppose to be budgeting myself for a trip & now I know about amazon's texture hue lol! Love how quick & easy you made wash day. As a mother of a 2, soon to be 3, year old boy, my wash days usually consist of "Ma, wyd? You washing your hair? I don't want my hair washed." & then he tries to play in the water or with the products LOL.
this is my wash routine minus the blowdrying and i have no kids. Always thought people put too much time into "wash day." more like 30 additional minutes in the shower
I really did used to take too much time, especially the first couple years of my natural Hair journey. Would have saved sooo much time but we grow and we learn. I also have a heat free method I usually use. 😊

My wash day was today and I have a 6m old I do it in the shower when he goes down for his morning nap and he stays sleep the whole time for me to wash and style. Girl that Aussie moist is the GOAT for real because it seriously makes my hair so soft and manageable and it's cheap to 🤗. I also blow dried my hair today to cause I'm getting it braided tomorrow haha this video was meant for me. Your son is so cute

I remember those days. That's how I lost my iPad to my toskker trying to entertain him while I wash my hair. Now I have two toddlers and it's easier as they entertain each other. Great video.

Yes, I am a mother with a baby, soon to be a toddler and a 3 year old toddler. Those long wash days are somewhat over. If I do it when they are awake then I have to move fast otherwise, I do it while they are asleep. Thank you for sharing! I didn't know about this Amazon Textures and Hues, nice!

So you broke up with the wonderful Conair blow dryer that you turned everybody onto? I had to clutch my pearls when I saw this new sleek blowdryer contraption you're using now.
Lol! You noticed! I had to because I have to rig the attachment on my old one and it just became too much. I searched up and down the interwebs for that dryer and they're sold out and I don't think they're coming back. 😩 Buttttt... I gave this one a shot because it has a similar comb and I think I like this one better! I didn't even think that was possible because I've been using the other one since 2014. Lol! I can't do it too late because if I don't blow it out, my hair wouldn't be ready to take down the next day. It takes so long to dry 😩 But I style at night and I'll post that routine next Wednesday 😊

Lol, at one point it was. In the early years of the Natural Hair movement everything was taboo 😩 I’ve been breaking rules left and right. My Natural Sistas so true. You have to do what’s best. If my hair isn’t under the shower head or soaking wet, my hair literally rips when I try and detangle. Even using my fingers. Been doing it for 7 years so it can’t be an issue for my hair. Thanks for the Amazon key. I’m excited to use the service.

Mom of a 4 month old. My wash day has turned into wash night. When I know she is out for four hours I get my life in the shower lol.
First off I have to say your hair tips are always what works for me. Second have to ask often/frequently do you do your wash routine and how do you upkeep during the week to minimize tangles? Cuz that was a breeze. I don't have kids, lol I just have coilier texture.

You're so fortunate that your little one is happily playing in the playpen. My daughter HATES it and she's tall like my husband and I so she can climb out. She has a large playard area but she hates that too. Lol I put her in anyway and put on a movie or Daniel Tiger or MMCH. My hair has gone to pot. 😣☹ #2 due May 2nd. I need a good natural stylist in Fort Lauderdale because I have super thick hair that requires several hours to wash, deep condition and style. With all my other running as caregiver for my dad with dementia and working from home I'm exhausted. My daughter is almost 2, a little older than your little one, so she gets into EVERYTHING. Lol oh well - that's the life.
