Very instructive and interesting ! The student seems really nice and highly serious, his smile translates his love for the training. Regarding the instructor, he seems really cool also, you can see he has been in an airline and not in the Air Force for example
Just did this training near Philadelphia after 27 years with single engine, still prefer the yoke. Great video, great procedure handling, perfect training, gorgeous instructor.

Every light GA piston airplane should fire up like the Diamond Diesels.
This is a truly excellent video and should inspire any young man wishing to fly as a career. The Diamond DA 42 is superb and, as a private pilot, I cannot wait for my DA 62 to be delivered in February 2019. These are the safest twins flying today, absolutely fitted with state of the art avionics and numerous safety features. Congratulations again to you both for a very factual training flight.

I don’t know how you handle that in Germany but the CASA rule says it is not allowed to put fuel, what comes out from the drain, back in the tank.

Where does sabastian work now?
Simply amazing!!! To see how far training A/C have come since I trained in the early 90's. We had steam gauges, the 6 pack, no gps, we chased needles, (or more accurately we tried to chase the needles ;-) the amount of info the pilot has at his fingertips is just staggering!!! Just remember, all that wiz bang hardware and software is wonderful, but... who am I kidding, these planes nowadays can land themselves... In 10 years there will be a pilot and a dog in the cockpit, the dog is there to bite the pilot if he touches anything ;-) Good luck gentlemen :-)

Im a bit suprised when I heard this plane has diesel engines. Is there any advantage using them? As I know that the fuel consumption is lower and the torque is much better (comparing to a petrol engine) but the horsepower is less and the engine is much heavier.
