Wow a very well edited video. This video may go down in the DM’s of the greatest videos of all time. Very well structures, as most videos should be nowadays. 11/10 would watch again.
I picked one up because I wanted a drum machine that is simple to use. Samplers are nice but they are way too complex to use when you just want to make some drum sounds.
Ayayayayaaaaa I want to have what you eat brother/sis...your drumming is awesome. You seem to know where every drum is found on this machine. I've had it for the last 15 years but can't do what you do with it...Congsssssssss
Thank you! I’ve had this one for a few years now and even I haven’t dove deep into all of its features but eventually I’ll get there. The manual is pretty easy to understand and quite helpful. And yes my name is a Russian name, so I’m a brother haha.
I think they are trying to mimic the Simmons 80’s type electronic toms, and some other Yamaha drum units like the RM50 rhythm sound module have similar sounding ones.
I have two Yamaha RY-30 drum machines and they are awesome. However I wish Yamaha would have made a model with wide drum pads, like on the Yamaha PSS-790 for example. Finger drumming on that was perfect, although it lacked velocity sensitive pads.
The factory drum kits have the hi-hats, crash cymbals, and higher toms panned right along with some other various sounds. You can easily adjust the panning for each drum sound though, so you can balance it out and pan some things either to the center, right +7 intervals or left -7 intervals.
It has a step/real-time sequencer built in the pattern mode as it's a drum machine, but it doesn't have the ability to record samples if that's what you mean.
This drummachine has such a great vintage reverb!! Seems like midiverb inside the box) Thanks for the video!

Yamaha RY30 the best drum machine.
An underrated drum machine. This drum machine sounds better than Boss Dr660. Btw your finger drumming is excellente!👍

@@alexey7459 Yamaha should pay you for what you are doing for them. I love, love, love it...!!!
Wow, this machine has so many great samples! Your video inspired me to hit "buy it now." 😂
Лучший звук на ютубе в демонстрации!
Спасибо! Получилось довольно прилично, мне было всего 15, когда я это сделал
I have one love it!!!
Hello, check the electronic toms, you could record them to listen to them or what other module they resemble.
I think they are trying to mimic the Simmons 80’s type electronic toms, and some other Yamaha drum units like the RM50 rhythm sound module have similar sounding ones.
@@alexey7459 could you by any chance make a video testing the electric toms? Please I'm from Chile and that module was never seen here :)
@@bastiancarrizozepeda2341 I might whenever I have time, but I go off to college soon. The sounds were included in this video too.
@@alexey7459 ok, no problem if I only need to hear the kits that have electronic toms, the others are almost the same I hope your help thanks
The ry20 has some of the same sounds as the ry30. I have the RY10 and there's a lot of overlap with the sounds on the RY30 also.
Hello there, this tool looks awesome, so what's its current version/replacement for modern sounds and patterns ?
Wonderful!

One of these an su10 and a djx would be a badass set up
super Sound.
how many automatic prerecorded demo patterns does it come with out of the box 20? 100?
There are 50 prerecorded demo patterns and one full demonstration song.
holy shit
Seems like most of sounds are oriented to right rather than to left...

would look nice sitting on top of my Yamaha w5
One for sale on Gumtree (UK) now :-)
does this record?
