One aspect of Brokeback Mountain that never gets addressed is this; isn't it essentially a movie glorifying cheating? Everyone gets so blinded by the fact it's a mainstream movie depicting homosexuality in a positive light, that they overlook the fact that both guys have wives and families that they are essentially cheating on. If the exact same movie was done with two people of opposite genders, but all other things being equal, everyone would say how dodgy it is for promoting and justifying cheating. :/
I don't know about that because they both really only got married because they were trying to pass as hetero. If anything, they were cheating on each other with the women. Their biggest crime was getting married in the first place.
Not exactly. It's not really "cheating" because both of the men are gay. Gays aren't PEOPLE PEOPLE like the rest of us straight men. They're just gay. Their lives don't count. So it's not technically cheating since both men are gay, which means they don't really have souls.
