As a woman, I was nervous about putting this together and using it myself and I have to say, I appreciated the detail in both the assembly of the gen 2 hoist a cart and this one! I love it. I’m very happy with the purchase and can remove the top alone and replace it alone.
Great video! Assembled today....so easy with the video instruction. Great job Lange, my wife thanks you (she is done with lifting Jeep tops). Top Ten purchase all-time for me, for sure.
Thanks. Super helpful with my assembly. Under two hours taking my time. Now the weather needs to break.
Thank you, you helped me put everything together with no issues.
This video was outstanding.. I had to watch a few times before I even started. but easily explained and demonstrated.. it did take me a few hours . but good step by step explainations
Wow! This was extremely helpful - I had my laptop in the garage while I did this, and didn't even crack the instruction manual once. Really, really appreciate both of these videos in this series, and I was able to get it assembled and put together in a couple hours. Enjoying my jeep today, with the top off for the first time since I bought it six months ago. Thanks again!!!!
This was great just got mine gonna watch this again when I use it for sure
Loved the video. Im about to check it out. I have a 4 dr
Need this, great video
Looks pretty straight forward. I wonder how easy is it to disassemble/reassemble? I need something like this when I go on vacation to the beach and flat tow it behind our RV. (I know I could just get a soft top lol but I would rather not deal with the hassle of swapping from one to the other every year)
Amazing product! Curious as to why it isn't available for all of the LJ Jeep owners who buy tons of Lange products. TIA - M
great video, can the roof stay hung up in the device as storage, so I can park My Jeep with the bonne underneath it in the garage?
What is the overall height of the cart when assembled?
Really impressed - that is an elegant solution, especially if you don't like to leave your top suspended above your jeep when parked in the garage. Out of curiosity, is it ok to leave the top in that seated vertical configuration for extended periods of time? Like for many months? Or will it stress and potentially warp/crack it?
Towards the end of the video you mention a cover to put over it. Do you have a link or any other info on that cover?
This is awesome. I wish it had the ability to hold all 4 doors and the freedom panels from my JLU. I guess i can store my freedom panels in the cushioned bag that came with my jeep and just rest that near this rack, but i wish i didn't have to buy a separate door holder for my rear doors.
I get it, I wish we could have designed it with the second door but there were too many problems. Quadratec has a Quadrapac with a wall door hanger that is discounted. Also, we found that if you put your freedom top panels in your bag, you can hang them from the front of the lifting arm.
Awesome! Would this work with 35x12.5 tires? I have 54.25 inches between rubber on my rear tires.
What is the Z depth for a 2 door JK top layed down verticle (From back wall of the garage to the furthest point out). Trying to figure out the amount of depth from the wall of the garage I need. Thank you!
Ordered this product and your assembly video made it super easy to put together. My only issue is I am having difficulty getting the tension correct on the front strap. Instead of the front and back raising, the back raises and the front lowers. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
That sounds unusual!! I'm sure it's something easy to fix. Please call us at the factory, we can help you out! 801 262-7322
With this product, I notice the gentlemen lowers the top. Can I keep the top suspended in the air?
Why is that cable so long that you have to crank it for three weeks?
Would it be able to just hold the top instead of putting down in storage position?
Cannot keep tension on front strap even doing everything according to the video. Just keeps releasing even after cranking it. Did I miss something?
What if I want to take off the back door too..So, where can I put?
I don’t have a cement floor. How will this work on grass and uneven ground?
At the end of video if you did everything outside will the top of the hoist go in a standard 7 foot high garage door?
I can’t find the JK hooks anywhere
Is there a version of this hoist that holds all 4 doors?
I looked this item up on line to check the price and noticed it states it won't fit my 1991 Jeep YJ hardtop. I can't see any reason why not? Please fill me in. Thanks
That's a nice product, but man, that's a whole lot of work just to get the top off. I use the Roll N Jack and it's much easier, plus I don't have to lower it to the ground and I just park the Jeep right under it.
What is the weight limit this can lift. I have a full platform rack. Could this lift that as well?
Where's the other 2 doors go for a 4 door?
How tall is it when you lower the arm assembly down all the way like you did at 18:30?
Whats the height of the roof of the JK to the top crank arm.
Nice plan but its to complicated and takes to long to setup. Other versions are simpler and less equipment is needed. also the expense is Less. It was a nice video
Anyone use this to lift or remove a rooftop tent?
I noticed this is already sold out on your website - any idea when it will be back in stock?
Quadratec has it in stock.
It just became available on quadratec on Wednesday and I ordered it and put it together today.
At 18:44 in the video - - once you lower the swing arm assembly, what is the height at that point?
It depends on whether you lower the frame completely it has several stops for people with lifted Jeep's I'll measure sometime today and get back to you
85 inches tall at it's lowest configuration with the arm folded down.
@@LangeOriginals Thanks!
I’m a little frustrated. My back window keeps popping open when I try to tilt this up. Sadly I permanently damaged my top trying to remedy this.
Does this cart or the other hoist a cart hold all 4 doors.
The gen 2 holds 2 doors standart. The gen 1 had attachments you could upgrade that allowed you to do 4 doors. We sell a separate door hanger that goes on the wall for unlimited customers for the gen 2. see www.langeoriginals.com for all products
For the price, it's cheaper to build a proper hoist into the ceiling
Does that work on a 2door
Works for two door or four. Jk or JL
Put a simple ring or d-ring permanently on the end of that rear strap and then you could use just the caribeaner directly... using that other screw link every time is ridiculous.
With the amount of time you spent doing all that. I would of done had it off with a set of ratchet straps.
True, but no garage necessary for this product...
Or you can just keep it simple and buy a Top Loft Pros
