No group in the history of recorded music has had such an impact as the Beatles. An integral component of their impact on society was George Martin's arrangements and production. From their first album, ( where he added piano parts to two songs, ) to the grand finale of Abbey Road's medley, his musical input was an essential part of the Beatles' success. His string quartet on " Yesterday, " his lugubrious scoring of " I am the Walrus, " through to " Eleanor Rigby, " added a dimension to pop music that others emulated immediately. No one deserved the title ' Fifth Beatle ' more than he did.
@@lorensmith4111 Let It Be; (recorded Jan 1969; released May 1970) was the last album released but Abbey Road; (recorded Feb - Aug 1969; released Sept 1969) was the last album that they recorded.
"...Now this tops all tribute bands....". Er...no. There's a lot of Beatles tribute bands that are better, and they do the full "show" with the costumes, stage props e.t.c. You need to see The Fab Four here on UA-cam. They are terrific. They even have "Ed Sullivan" hosting in one of them !
"Her Majesty" was a snippet from an outtake, and wasn't meant to be on the album originally. Paul I think it was, found it lying around in the studio, liked it, and asked to have it tacked onto the end of the album as a bit of fun.
This medley of Beatles' songs from their "Abbey Road" album is simply awesome and it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it! There will never be another band like the "Fab Four."
Go to a McCartney concert while he still tours. I have seen him 4 times since 2012 and everytime is has a been an emotional musical trip thru your life...
The closest any band could come to them as far as popular appeal goes, is in my opinion, The Bee Gees. They were versatile and the songs were very melodic, with quite a few classics in their catalogue as well. But they weren't as consistently good to brilliant as The Beatles - whose career remember, was much shorter than that of The Bee Gees. Quite a lot of their early material was average. But, like the Beatles, they had longevity and kept reinventing themselves. I was surprised when, after not having had a hit for years, then returned with their single "Alone" - one of the best they've ever done ! Great shame that Barry is the only one left of the four Gibbs brothers now.
The Beatles don't need ANYBODY to keep their music alive. Their music is uniquely brilliant and speaks for itself. It's stood the test of time. They gain new young fans each generation. How many bands can say that ?
The Beatles capacity to learn is what drove them from the yeah yeah yeah songs of their earlier days to the classic sounds of Abbey Road. Bravo to the performers here who captures the essence and beauty of The Beatles.

Just how many tries did it take The Beatles to record That. These guys are doing it Live!!!! And perfect. Yes. The Beatles were the creators no question about that. They left a legacy of ideas and experimentation for future generations. I don't hear anything this good from these younger generations.
I googled it, Ryan. It took them 15 takes and they used the 13 and 15 to finally dub it to what they wanted. John Lennon was not present. He was hospitalized due to road accident. Paul, George and Ringo.
Javier Mgtaoim: That is not quite true! John Lennon injured himself in a car crash in Scotland on 1 July when Abbey Road official began recording and returned on 9 July. The Beatles performed early versions of 12 of the Abbey Road songs during the Let It Be sessions in January 1969. The only songs not to have been performed in any form were Come Together, Here Comes The Sun, Because, You Never Give Me Your Money, The End and Her Majesty. The End was recorded with Lennon during the Abbey Road recording! Just read Geoff Emerick's (sound engineer) book about the magic between John, Paul and George!Demo recordings of Mean Mr Mustard and Polythene Pam were made at George Harrison's house in May 1968. The Beatles also worked on Something, Oh Darling and Octopus's Garden before taking the month of June 1969 off for holidays. So prior to the Abbey Road official recording.
no sé si es asunto de micrófonos, pero los apagados aplausos finales no condicen con la OVACIÓN merecida al final. Si yo hubiera tenido el honor de haber estado presente me hubieran faltado energías para aplaudir. BRAVO!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!. EXCELENT!!! ... !THANKS TO YOU ALL...! GREAT MUSICIANS! ...!GREAT SOLISTS!...
The medley on side two of "Abbey Road" is the most sublimely brilliant twenty minutes of music you're ever likely to listen to. What a swansong for "The Fab Four" to go out on !
That makes no sense, you are saying the Beatles who wrote and performed the music that this talented orchestra and singers have copied would have a problem replicating this replica.
This song exudes indescribable emotion and nostalgia

This song is immortal lullaby of the soul
Now this tops all tribute bands. This medley of the songs by the orchestra sounds exactly like the Beatles Abbey Road tract.

Try The Analogues.
Singer out of tunes of time drummer speeds up as suggested listen to the analogues
no matter what music I listen to I come back for beatles
Beatles music is for any generations to admire..timeless never get tired of listening
The guy freezes in the end just like it sounds in the record. Very impressive!

+Javier Gonzalez right, be the key is to have brilliant mind to create the songs to begin with
The beatles did it in 1 take, if you think I'm lying, google it

Danny Vine Just like it was depicted here with the three guitarists, Paul, George and John took turns on the solo for The End, in that order.
loved the perfectly abrupt ending to her majesty!

I wouldn't mind betting that the Beatles themselves would struggle to reproduce their studio sound this well live. Excellent.
