Thanks for this overview and tutorial, especially the bike breakdown and mounting properly on the raft. When I watched the videos of your and Simon's bike rafting trip, I wondered about the frustration and faff factors with the bike breakdown and putting it back together. Great advice, too, on bailing out if needed and adjusting the paddles so as not to hit the mounted bike and gear.
No I’ve tried tried one of those out. I just think if you’re carrying weight which is hanging over the sides of the packraft (ie a bike) it needs to be wide at the front and have an up turned bow to take the weight.

@@Vildmark makes total sense. At 6ft 2 and 100kgs I'm already finding it difficult to choose the right boat. You've used the microraft large, would I fit in that? Loving the content, thanks, working my way through your videos
Really great video. Thanks for making it.
No problem. Thank for watching
DIY Packraft Atlin Model is designed for bikerafting with a larger square nose.

Clean it first
Mr packrarft is always clean 😊
Iron Raft say their rafts were designed to carry a bike, have you tried them? Looks very similar to the MRS micro raft

@spencegoddard8456 yes that seems a good option.
How about the mrs microraft for bike rafting?
Never tried a bike on it. I know some people who do but I prefer to use a packraft that has been designed to carry a bike.
I just hide mine in the woods at the bottom
