Its a real challenge when you start getting down that small, You do a great job.
I'd just like to say thanks for the great videos. I just started tying flies a few weeks ago following your lead on several patterns including this one. I wish I could do something as well as you do these videos. Cheers.
Pretty much my go to fly wherever BWOs and trout lurk
great thread control, makin it look easy
That was great. You must be a duck hunter or have very generous duck hunting friends. Awesome bag of feathers 👍😋
Great little fly, fun to tie and fish.
Excellent little pattern. I am amazed that small 22 fit in your Regal. I just use a very fine tipped vise for these small bugs. Thanks for sharing. All the best to you and yours. Sean
Excellent Video! Thanks.
Big fish eat small flies. My best fly every year is a simple midge pattern, also size 22. I like this fly as well. Sure, its a bwo emerger, but also a nice little olive midge pattern.
Nice one. I am always looking for a good olive emerger. I'll try it. I often fish the wd40 fly in the film or just beneath as an emerger. Sometimes I simply cut the cdc wing off my olive dun and fish it and that works too.
When fishing the Lower Owens river outside of Bishop California in winter, One of the best patterns I use as a dropper before, during, and after the hatch with amazing results. Never without this pattern !!!
Great fly - must find my magnifying glasses!
size 22 did i read that right? or are those hooks styles not as small as the regular fly hooks?
awesome!
Great video as always. What’s your opinion on teal or mallard flank vs wood duck? I have a bunch of teal and mallard flank but no wood duck, they look very similar to me but maybe I’m missing something?
I have such a hard time not crowding the eye when I tie this fly, I now use a glass bead whenever I tie them
what camera are you using? I have a very unproductive UA-cam channel do to bad video quality and would love to make hi quality videos like yours. could you give me an idea on what I need to buy that's not to expensive, thanks.
What's in the background of your tying videos
What lens and camera are you using?
I USE KAPOK SUPER FINE DUBBING.
that is one pretty looking fly. i have to try this one. thanks!
