I love this pattern you didn’t make it to realistic but made the general idea of a Baetis nymph

After using this one for 3 seasons on the Grand River, Ontario, I can say that, yes, this one works, and very well, I might add. I've caught fish on this when nothing else works. It's now my go to nymph. Since it's still 3 months until the season opens, I wonder if I'll be able to tie enough of these before the season opens here!

Can confirm that these work like a charm from my experience (also in NJ)

I’m here to add that these flies definitely work. I found some dubbing that has small 1/8th to 1/4 inch rubber legs in the dubbing and it is killer on this pattern

Works likes a champ in NC wild streams. Used it today after no action on dries. New Zealand indicator and this pattern brought bookies and browns to the net.

I love this pattern on my local streams in Western New York, I tie them on a size 16 jig hook as well, and I recently I have been using synthetic quill bodies with the same great results

Same here, I’ve started doing goose biot bodies in various colors, can be a tad finicky but man does it look good as a finished product!

A great video as always. I had a thought about this and other fly tying videos. The fly is only half the equation. To catch fish we must also present it properly. Could you possibly elaborate on some techniques for how to present this fly to the fish under different conditions? (or point us to some videos that would give us some tips as to how)? Thank You

Do you have an invertebrate tank? How do you get those cool shots of bugs? If you do have a tank you should make a vid about how to do that.

Hello. Love your videos by the way have been following u for long time. Did you hear that Dai Riki is no more? Went to tightlines fly shop in parsipanny and they said they didnt hear back from them in months. Thats my favorite hook.

Do you sell your flies? i'd love to catch a fish with a fly "as featured on that one UA-cam channel once", the fish won't believe it!
