And they aren’t really making money anymore, I mean they are but barely. They have no micro-transactions and most of their fans already own the game so you know they aren’t making a whole lot on these updates

Also Relogic: adds a new ligthning system, many new whips, extreme quality of live improvements and many more
they even said they are hiding their fave features

Placeable demon altar is the one thing that I like the most, because with that, you won't need to worry about your friends to be destroying all of the demon altars on the world for the ores and world spread. Not to mention the time save you will have as well
I think they removed demon altars causing infected blocks to spawn sometimes when broken

My theory is that, because they said you can only get it in the most dire of circumstanced, you get it when the last demon altar in the map is broken
It’s near impossible to actually get rid of all the altars honestly at that stage of the game
Can’t believe Minecraft and Terraria are both getting new bats in their upcoming updates.
I really like transformation mounts. They’re just cool.

Yeah the wolf mount is my favorite mount and I am trying to make it where I can use it with balloons and horseshoe early hardmode instead of wings cause I like it more!
I think the "extreme circumstances" is most likely referring to the placable demon altar only being craftable in worlds/seeds that don't spawn with any, much like how ocram's razor only exists in zenith.
that or they are only craftable when none exist in the world anymore

i gotta say, I love Re-Logic's "small" updates. it's cool how small (but actually really huge) these updates are :)
They gotta do something for the final update, they don't want to disappoint by making it smaller than the final update before it

The bat transformation is not only inspired by Alucard, there is also a direct reference to Lazlo from What We Do In The Shadows, where there is a running gag where he yells out the word, "Bat!" to transform. I really like that added touch.
I'm REALLY looking forward to 1.4.5. I don't think I've ever been so excited for something to be released
I actually made a Twitter post a while ago asking for placeable demon altars. I’m glad that they have finally been added after all these years.
I love the little reference to what we do in the shadows with the player shouting "bat!" before transforming
I love that they are adding more transformation mounts, they are the most fun by far in my opinion. If only there were a race/species select at character creation haha
It would be so sad if 1.4.5 released before I got my PC fixed, I wanted to play it on release day but... that happened. But if it does, I will watch Chippy's videos covering all the content!

The Demon Altar clip ( 2:36 ) also shows a slight rework to the Lights Bane projectile (Unless that’s just what it’s like in mobile)

I also noticed that the demon altar has a skull on the sprite I am guessing it's a non-safe? varient and also I was expecting them to be crafted at another altar with ecto mist, Flesh/lesion blocks, some mech souls and soul of night aswell demonite/Crimtane ore

I remember in the version i started playing, demon altars were breakable and you coukd place them down again (at least, im 99% sure, its so long ago) im excited that it will come back, it will make some errands so much easier
One of the main things im hoping for are more monoliths for events like an eclipse or martian monolith
The skull icon on the altar item and the tooltip description 'this is the real deal' remind me of the "dangerous" versions of walls made with shimmer. I wonder if that means there will be decorative non-functional versions of them.
Or like this version acts exactly like the real thing when placed- wraiths and all... But the safer version drops as normal?
I think this is gonna be quite a rare Skyblock World drop.

It could be something like, the placeable demon altar only drops when you destroy the last demon altar in the world. So you have to find every single last one of them and hammer them.
the placeable alters are also good in those mega crafting stations
some builders also might find a way to incorporate these alters to their builds too
I remember thinking about how a vampire bat transformation would work a-la the Neptunes Shell.pretty cool that they’re adding it in!
Chippy! About Infernum, you can combine the wasp gun and the bee gun to make a really cool weapon called the swarmer! You should try it, as i'm pretty sure it's still good at ML
i still really want to be able to use the shimmer to get other boss drops (eg. BoC treasure bag -> EoW treasure bag, Firecracker-> Breaker Blade, etc.)
and maybe even the return of the first fractal (and maybe other removed weapons [or bosses *cough* *ocram* *cough*]) through graveyards
Red has said re-adding Ocram is never going to happen as long as he lives.

why would you want ocram (eye of cthulu but laser spam) when you can have mechdusa (sexy mech with laser spam)
Placeable demon altar is almost certainly for the Skyblock seed. I really wish we could turn into a fox too ❤
My theory about the placeable demon altar is it can be used to be smashed to get more hardmode ores. I was expecting it to be the opposite and would not create hardmode ores when smashed thus it would be easily obtainable, but this theory fits since if it was easy to obtain people could get an absurd amount of hardmode ores that way.

Bats are iconic because they are hated, so imagine a bat with a player tag flys in out of nowhere using a mourning star oneshots you then flying away.
that little nod to castlevania: symphony of the night in the bat morph is nice :)
The track "Athena, the Tireless One" would fit very well over the EoL fight going on in the background
my assumption for the demon altar is that you either get it through killing enraged EoW/BoC, or its connected to a seed. OR its related to shimmer (because of the skull icon which is used for the hostile walls you can make with shimmer)
that would be way too tame for how they phrased it
with how reluctant they've been on it so far it has to be something way too ridiculous
my gut feeling is you have to destroy every (or nearly every) demon altar in your world to get it
@@RealJayJay the thought was maybe they reworked the enraged bosses. this rework could also be connected to a certain seed just to decrease the likelyhood of people finding it. while i do think the shimmer theory is the most likely, i never mentioned what item to transform or what new interaction shimmer would have. it could be as easy as you being able to craft it from ebonrock walls, or you could transform the pwnhammer, or it could be something entirely new alltogether.

It would be cool to have a block that makes the player invisible. This could be used in 3d builds where there is a "foreground". The block would make the player appear to go behind the object. The invisibility could be applied similarly to how the poo block applies its buff.
It could just be some sort of layering-changer tool too, with the invisibility blocks being seperate

The only thing I hope for in this att is being able to place chests on workbenches or tables, you could make great decorations with that, I don't know why they haven't added it yet, I would suggest it on the forum, but... I don't know how it works. ..
Maybe the placeable altar is from a possible Skyblock or similar special seed?

It's amazing how far Terraria has come.
I remember playing this in 1.3, and now that, even though it isn't vintage or anything, it still feels so nostalgic.
This is the reason why it's my favourite game of all time, because of the memories...

I hope they add a key bind for dashing with the SOC and tabi. Their so useful but hard to use on console at least when trying to attack at the same time or time a hit correctly to block damage
Minecrafts biggest update: “we added taller cliffs”
Terrarias smallest update: “We created 50 new monsters which each are a part of their own new biome which each have millions of new things that don’t destroy any of the meta and add a load of enjoyment to the game and more for you to achieve and have fun with!”
I might get back into terraria soon it’s something I’m debating I left right around the time the labor of love update came out (whatever the current version is) so I’m somewhat excited
I would say the bat is more of a What We Do In The Shadows reference, since Laszlo Cravensworth shouts BAT! before turning and flying off! (I haven't seen enough of Castlevania to know if Alucard does the same, but still a very cool vampiric feature!)

The bat transformation strongly reminds me of an older mod, maybe Thorium? I think bat and frog were the two transformations I used

I did mention before there is need to add bat transformation to game for special vampire seed where player burning on day,and they actually DID IT

so we've got a wolf transformation in the base game, with a bat transformation happening in the next update. Petition to add a pre-hardmode short range version of the rod of discord that lets you turn into mist by using mana and traverse small gaps

For a game that said they'd be launching the last update for I don't know how many times now, it seems to still be alive and kicking
I'd like a consumable which is made of sus looking eye, clothier doll and worm food or bloody spine. Something like a pre hardmode mechdusa which drops another special item, weapon or consumable
My hope is that the consul will eventually get mod support

My theory for the placeable demon altar is you would probably throw the pwnhammer in some shimmer, maybe after some requirements are met. Idk its just an idea i had
this looks great, i recently got terraria on my pc and im excited to experience terraria 1.4.5 with my friend
ive been a pc player for a very long time now, i only got terraria when they suggested we play it, they said i didn't have to but i wanted to and here i am now :)
I would expect placable demon altars to be slightly different from natural altars and only retain crafting and cosmetic features.
