As someone who's absolutely terrified of falling in love and being in a relationship, the bit about love and your relationship with Thomas made me cry my eyes out. I'd give anything to have something like that, yet I'm just so freaking scared. But it warms my heart to see two beautiful - inside and out - human beings loving each other this way. It's truly incredible, it's almost as if I can feel the love you have for him through my screen. I wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness, joy and love.
Sarah I’ve been there and that fear leaked into our first few months together, he was terrified too that I would hurt him love genuinely is just terrifying! But I was determined to overcome it and just be in the moment because too many people have warned me against living in fear incase things end up hurting, I don’t want life to pass me by with me in bubblewrap...I really hope you find/experience an incredible love and someone who can reassure you 💚 xxxxx

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's frustrated by the overwhelmingly filtered look on videos. I think there's a camera that does the same thing too, which is SO OBVIOUS from a photographer's perspective.
Also the green is pulsating. It must be the mismatch of the shutter speed to the aperture. I get that concerts sometimes too.
It's like you're surrounded by green aura! Like an Irish elven princess (which you are anyway).

When you talked about the wellness journal, I smiled because of two things - first, I just took a shower and while I am having my face mask and braiding my hair, I am watching your video. And secondly, I got a gorgeous moleskine notebook that says Wingardium Leviosa on the cover, and I never wanted to use it because it's so pretty, And today, I decided I will use it as my diary during my gap year, and already started to prepare the pages with trackers for my sleep, my water intake, my headaches and my me-time.
I felt so great because I started watching you when I didn't really know how to take care of myself, and now I can do it on my own, and I still watch you because you are amazing and your advice is really great and you also motivate myself to do all kinds of things, like take better care of myself
He’s so boyish and giddy when he has his hair grown out, and with the shaved head he looks very strong and .... like cuddly, in a way that bears or big cats are cuddly.

Edit: I just re-dyed my hair back to its original dark chocolatey brown natural color because I watched a bunch of your old videos ✨💕 I’ve been dying it ginger-red for over 6 years, and while I felt bad ass and gorgeous as a red head, it started to became one of my only defining feature for others and the people around me couldn’t see past that (like when a customer at my cafe told me that my red hair made me “look more fuckable” 😑 that’s been a defining factor of most decisions that come with my appearance,if people start associating it with sex, it’s gone). So my dark hair has been a way of rediscovering and re-identifying myself 💚✨

i have and i’ve been suffering from anxiety while my life is boring and exhausting in the same time, but i’ve always had that feeling, it stressed me out and my life passed away, i do have hobbies including writing but anxiety is keep stealing the pleasure and the fun of my life
I didn't have the slightest clue about the filter being used on a camera! wow, there has been so many times where I have followed a beauty tutorial and have cried and almost broken down because it didn't end up looking half as good on me as what it did on me, then I spend ages comparing my skin and every flaw on my face whilst looking at their skin, that has definitely opened my eyes!
Love Wayne Goss,most genuine beauty youtuber and he still works with clients which I think most of the make up artists on UA-cam think they are way above now.
Hearing Melanie talk about love completely melts my heart

The pulsing light is a resonance/phasing effect. It happens when the frame rate of the camera/screen is close to the frequency of the AC power supply in the light.

I think the only people who know how fake the beauty youtubers makeup skills are, are the makeup artists who do makeup on different faces every day and know that those looks are physically not possible unless you are a photographic model who has flawless skin. I've worked fashion week and even those stunning girls still have flaws. I am so done with the perfect youtube/Instagram/over highlighted makeup look. I want real faces thanks.

Oh God, when you were describing wanting to experience beautiful landscapes etc with someone you're intimate with I gasped- it is the exact same thing I have been thinking for a very long time and you are the first one I know to ever express it like that. What you said gave me so much hope. I'm a hopelessly romantic person. As I had to break up with my ex recently because we wanted different things in life and also I was experiencing what you described of not 100% having romantic feelings, I lost hope in ever finding what I'm looking for. But damn, you're love for each other is so pure it sparked right through the screen.

I’m so excited for your book! I’m 25 and the closer to 30 I get the more I feel like I’m still not where I should be or where I thought I would be when I was younger. I’m very much living in my own fantasy world and I feel like I’m not ready to grow up and I’m still wishing for something magical to happen to me like you read in teenage/young adult novels and for you to write a novel about a woman turning 30 is so exciting and makes me feel like I’m not getting to old to still be in love with fantasy, paranormal, or alternative things! 💚💚💚

I’m a writer as well and I also started from a very young age and everyone around me felt it was strange but I just loved it - writing was always such a big part of me. In the last three years I had a lot happen to me and I just stopped writing. Absolutely agree with you about avoiding the drama being pushed into our faces on UA-cam, it really isn't something we need. Cutting it out is the way to go. Also, unfortunately, I too feel like we've seen too many abuse scenarios recently online and with Pres. Agent Orange that I'm not expecting to see this guy being dealt with appropriately. I would actually love to see pictures and clips of videos from young you/ teen you. I know there's a couple you've used before, mostly when discussing weight and health, but I mean more just a sentimental walk down memory lane. I can understand why you'd want to keep those private since so much of your life is online already but some people, like the Suggs, have shown bits here and there and I thought it was sweet. Like when you see childhood pictures/ videos of a friend for the first time. Just a random thought. 😊

The answer to the question of love is so resonating with me at the moment. Especially the part before you and Thomas got together. Two of my really good frieds have now became a couple, and while I am so over the moon happy for them that they finally are together, it also makes me feel so alone... Which is stupid, because it's not like I am more alone than before. The alone parts of my day just somehow feel more lonely than before. They always say that love comes when you aren't looking, but god damn, I hope it comes searching for me some time soon. I love your vids Mel, they bring me so much joy!
