Two years ago you could buy a jeep 392 for about $79,000 the same vehicle now is $104,000 which is totally insane, I recently looked at some V6 Rubicon‘s they’re upwards of $70,000 it’s ridiculous, For the average person they can’t afford these they need to make these more affordable they’re awesome vehicles but come on jeep give us front and rear locker swaybar disconnects for an affordable price you can buy a Willys but it doesn’t have swaybar disconnect and it doesn’t have front lockers they can build these things make them affordable they would sell a ton of them it would also keep resale values up, I looked at some of the same vehicles compare prices to brand new 2024 models and most models have lost over $20,000 in less than one year on resale value it’s ridiculous, I don’t know how the average guy working hard is even making it prices have to get down lower it’s getting out of hand.
Here’s the thing. During the pandemic, 4x4s were _in demand._ Everything was shut down, but trails weren’t. People got into off roading, and the increased demand combined with the supply chain issues meant dealers could name their price. Manufacturers saw dealers marking their jeeps up by $5k, $10k, even $15k above MSRP and went “hey, I want in on that action.” So they raised prices as long as people kept paying it. Now, interest rates are much higher (my wrangler that I bought in 2021 has a 2.9% interest rate, now it’s like 8% with good credit), banks aren’t willing to finance as much over MSRP as before, and people that bought fully kitted out Rubicons during the pandemic are looking at trading (because the average American only keeps a vehicle like 3-4 years). Sales were down like 30% or more during 2024, because like I said, prices are higher and credit isn’t as easy to come by. Combined with the fact that wranglers are hard to live with (road and wind noise, fuel economy, handling and ride are all bottom of the class), people who bought their Rubicon and took it on a Green trail like twice and never off roaded again are looking at things like a Pathfinder Rock Creek and realizing it has all the capabilities they need, it’s way more comfortable, and has tons more features for the same price as what you can buy a new basic Sport S Wrangler for. It’s literally supply and demand in real time. Gotta lower prices or the brand will go away.
Great content as always. Keep going!
Appreciate it!
You can't get the extreme tire package with a V6 engine....what the hell is that all about.....how about a V6 Bronco with the Sasquatch package....
yeah blue on blue on blue looks good, 41, phantom looks good
Come to washington state, you can't get it without 4xe. Add another $10k
Its not 2020 any more, auto dealers, and manufacturers need to wake up. Americans are struggling to buy groceries and pay insurance. A 100k plus vehicle is not a priority.
@@maverick-zj3jz the issue is once you go up.. They will not go back down
Greed is the key word. 2024 was the first year they did not increase the price. Since 2018 for all jeeps - 2-3K on average per year with no real added value.
The Rubicon X also comes with the auto 4wd 8 speed auto tranny. Which adds
$$$.
I’d like the X but don’t need the lift kit or 35s. 33s work for me.
Rubicon - Mortgage your HOME!!! Find your local Loan-Shark and get some Big Money!! Then you can live in this GREAT SUV - To the MAX.

Waiting for a 50% price drop, otherwise I’m going elsewhere. Maybe Subaru
So you are going to pass on the technology group (which allegedly includes Car Play, Android Auto, 360 cameras, Alpine Audio, etc)? Really?
Interestingly, you can get the 315/70R17 tires without the extreme recon package. I was able to configure it with the technology package, convenience package, and the rims, tires, gears, 2 liter engine, and automatic for 60k and change.
Did that include the gearing?
@@AllTerrainNation yes. Aa noted above. You really need to get that ADHD under control. BTW, I have the worst ADHD.
