What's coming in 2025 for the Jeep Brand?
Happy New Year from your boys at Dirt Road Cred
-Matt & Ryan
Amen
Gladiator offering hurricane 500hp plus with 8 speed auto😮 6:23
Price has to drop, period.
Big time. Need a mid 20’s 2 door
💯
Amen
Offer 5.7V8 power in both the Wrangler and Gladiator and price them reasonably-unlike the $100k 392. Great power trains sell vehicles.
Plz put a V8 in the Gladiator and make it a reasonable price.
Nahh takes to much gas as it is ur crazy lol
DIESEL is the name of the game....... Have a diesel about 250 ++ Hp would help a lot. Then just have a Dana 44 i front and put some 9" in rear..... Then you can have what ever engine in it and never ever have to change a thing...... but the price!!
Screw a digital dash!!!! This is a recipe for more electrical issues. I want less electronic that can go bad.
I love the analog gauges will hate the day it’s all digital
Jeep should throw one in there as a ~$200 option, cheap enough that it's not a huge price for people who want it, so people will buy it, but those of us who want analog gauges can get that.
Have you ever seen a center digital display go out that sits between the analog gauges? I’m sure there has been a few but it’s not even talked about over the past 15 years+ they’ve been used.
I've been in rental cars with the entertainment stack that blanked out. Couldn't control the HVAC. 🤷
They need to add 5.7 hemi as an option! They would definitely bring a lot of people back.
5.7 hemi in the gladiator would bring the gladiator back alive
Agreed. The hemi should be an option in every single dodge/jeep platform.
The only why I’d trade in my ‘22 Gladiator is the option to drive off the lot with a 392 Gladiator.
No it wouldn't, they would charge 70k for it
The 5.7 should be as prolific as the LS
100%
Maybe a 5.7L standard in the gladiator, and figure out a way to add the sky active roof. Also, LED lights standard, Auxiliary switches standard, wireless car play standard and 35's standard on the Rubicon and Mojave.
The gladiator needs to get cheaper. Not going to happen by engineering a past engine into the gladiator. The straight 6 maybe would work but it’s already in the ballpark of the pentastar so why reinvent the wheel?
Yeah a 5.7 Hemi and sky active roof would be nice options
How about a V8 option that’s not starting at over $90k. Make one for the people that like to use them off road.
The 4XE range is absolutely criminal
14:45 1976….i was 10 years old and, always, my mom took me to the new car show in the mall. Back then that’s what they did. All the local dealers showed up at the mall with the new models.
That was the first year for the CJ7 and they had a bright red Levi’s package one sitting there. Doors and top off, shining in the fluorescent lighting. Forget the Porsches, Lotus, Mustangs and Corvettes…THIS is what I wanted. 22 years later I got my first Jeep. Now I’m on my 5th.
Brand loyalty is what Jeep needs to consider. What brought people to the brand and what keeps them there.
2 door X needs to have locker options available. Nothing else! No fancy fluff. V6, 8 speed, 2 door with Dana 44s..They people wanting a cheaper Jeep and lockers need this option
Agree with ya 100% (except for the transmission, some of us just like manuals, even with the warts the Jeep one comes with) but yeah, no fancy fluff nonsense! Nothing wrong with being able to offer a mechanically stout but feature sparse Jeep.
Yup!
2 door Rubicon X?
Let Jeep buyers order what they want. Well said Matt
They need to make a v8 option for the wranglers and gladiators at around 50-60k price range, the 100k plus 392 option is insane and not what most people want.
The Gladiator needs a 392 V8..... !
And not cost 150k. Cause that’s how much it would cost to for sure.
Heck, I'd settle for 5.7L V8 at this point.
@P1_M1ND I agree this needs to be a $2k-$5k upgrade, NOT a $20k-$30k upgrade.
Yes I don’t want to pay 30k extra to engine swap it.
That & get something better than that dopey tiny, aux battery set up. Do a factory "Genesis dual battery" option
Put a 5.7 hemi in Wranglers and Gladiators at a reasonable price and they would sell all day!
The reason is the Price added $25k over 2-3 years ago. It need to be 50% off, the wrangler Recon will cost over $70k and who can afford $1500 a month payment .
I know a lot of people probably don’t want this but how about a 5.7 or an old 4.7L v8 in the wrangler. It would be fun but a cheaper alternative for the 392.
5.7 xtreme recon gladiator at a reasonable price could save the gladiator
Add full float Dana 60. Dream build
The prices are ludicrous and absolutely absurd.
Dealer tech here. Jeep needs to completely axe the 4XE. This singular model alone is responsible for like 60% of our warranty claims. It's hilariously junk and single handedly destroys our brand image.
What about the Grand Cherokee 4Xe? Curious as to your thoughts. Thanks
@@Warped2023 Equally fucked. The underlying Atlantis high platform the WL 4XE is based off of already has a lot of issues and the 4XE part just doubles down on it. We currently having one sitting at the shop since October. It stalled on the owner and doesn't start with a service hybrid system error. The best part is it doesn't throw any codes despite active warning messages on the dash. As a result the diagnostic is at a complete standstill. Engineering had us throw a harness and HV battery pack at it to no change. I think it's a PIM issue but they refuse to authorize it. Just about every main part of the hybrid system needs to be approved by them before replacement. The entire hybrid line up from Stellantis is plagued with issues. The hybrid Pacifica was voted the most unreliable car in America two years in a row for a damn good reason. The upcoming EV charger & Wagoneer are going to hilarious. I feel bad for the unsuspecting owners thinking they're getting a premium product after spending $60k+.
I couldn’t agree more. Unfortunately I was talked into one and it’s a lemon over 70 days in the shop in 12 months of owning it and not fixed. I’ve had Wranglers since 1990 and not sure I’ll be back once this eventually gets bought back. The 4xe is destroying the Wrangler brand.
I totally agree, we really don’t want it AT LEAST MOST OF US. They can have it special order ready for the 1% that wants it.
I want to see a Golden Eagle and the return of the Laredo trim
100% agree with offering the 41 Edition in gas model. I would buy it today!!!
Yep. The 392 is cool, but I’d love to have a 5.7. Going from a Ram 1500 to my Gladdy, that’s the biggest thing I miss.
Bring back the diesel motor
I love my 2021 JLU Sport EcoDiesel. 4 years old with 65,000 trouble free miles and averaging 23 mpg. Plenty of zip on road and plenty of power off road.
Also agree the dumbest idea to make the 41 only 4xe. Should be more firings over that imo.
Diesel and V8 in Wrangler and Gladiator - 6 and 8 speed for all powertrains, maybe even the 4XE.
Edit: Rubicon Sport - all of the off-road goodies without all of the fancy stuff that only drives up price.
4XE 2 door
Paint matched fenders and roof _available_ on all trims
Give the gladiator a 5.7 hemi.
4xe was a terrible idea on the wrangler platform. The two concepts don’t mesh.
$40k extra for a v8 that comes in a $50k Ram is ridiculous. They could’ve sold a lot more 392s if they hadn’t priced so high.
Just my 2 cents. Love the channel guys!
They didn’t _want_ to sell a lot of 392s. They wanted to be able to say “we offer a V8 in the wrangler for the first time in decades!” and let rich people and influencers flex with their overpriced 392s on social media but having a mass produced wrangler would be too big of a hit to their fleets average fuel economy standards set by the government.
Also, bring back tan soft tops and tan seats! And more colors! Earth colors like stone, sand, brown, forest green 🙏🏼
Americas most wanted has been proving you can put a 392 and bigger in the gladiator for the last few years now, come on jeep!! I’ve said it before, even just the 5.7 or similar. Hell, fit the hurricane inline 6 in there as an option too…that thing is nuts in the RHO. With Tim back, I think we’ll definitely see some positive changes 🤞 Early happy Newyears DRC!
Golden Eagle looks fenomenal,a trim will be an fantastic option witch i personally like and would consider to purchase 👍🏼
I'll buy a 2 dr 392, yesterday! phantom blue or 41
The 4xe need at least 65 miles electric range
Living in California, there are only 4xe wranglers on the dealer lots and they just sit because nobody wants them. If you want a gas only option you have to order it and very few people are aware of that process. Getting away from the influence of CARB (California Air Resources Board) will help. At least 14 other states follow those rules.
Yea living behind an iron curtant state like myself I see the same thing. I think most dealers aren't telling people that they can still order gas (because they have these 4xEs sitting on the lots.) Massachusetts is almost like California except our weather sucks most of the time.
I just have to give your channel huge props. After owning a 98 TJ & a 07 JK I went away from jeeps for a while. Then I ran upon your channel and made me miss my jeeps big time. Well this week I went out and bought myself a brand new 2024 JL Rubicon 😂 really wanted a 2 door manual to match my older jeeps but life and the wife have different plans and man am I happy. Only 29 years old but definitely enjoying the heck out of this channel and Jeep!
Jeep can offer an officially licensed a 5.7 conversion for Wranglers/Gladiators for sub 20k, offer refinancing at low to no apr for confirmed good history buyers, or offer all trims and 392 at heavy reduction so ppl can afford to replace or buy a secondary vehicle. Keep customers happy and move inventory
EXTREME RECON GLADIATOR !!!!
Thanks for all your content. I’ve had many Jeeps over the years. Until last month I owned two Bronco Raptors. I traded my 2024 Bronco on a brand new 392 FE. The Jeep is something else. The Hemi makes it like no other Jeep I’ve ever owned, it’s a blast to drive and the exhaust note is intoxicating. My new Jeep is one of my favorites in my rotation.
Keep up the good work.
Along the lines of what you were saying about flexibility in Wrangler options and customer ordering...I want to see locking front and rear differential as standard equipment on every Wrangler and the option to add the leather power seats, trail camera and 35 inch tires to every Wrangler model!
Build a Wrangler with the Pentastar V6 and no ESS or eTorque.
That’s a purely government thing. You can easily disable start/stop
I think color options are one of the biggest things they could give you and just a straight gas option. If you look at some other brands again, they have five colors white gray silver black stop we want colors.
Hurricane 6 would be good too
Gladiator needs that and a v8 option.
I had a '21 Gladiator Willys that was essentially a lemon, the head gasket went 3 times in 6 months and I only it for 11 months. It was a dream car for me. After the dealership really pushed a Grand Cherokee 4xE on me so I reluctantly made the switch. I had buyers remorse within 3 months. I have tried for months to get back into a Gladiator Willys again but the dealerships I have worked with in PA are all over the place with pricing. I am holding out hope for a Fathom Blue Gladiator Willy's but there seems to be no timeline for them.
The golden eagle shown at 15:19 is my 2013 JK that I put together as a tribute to the old CJ golden eagle. This package, as you see it was not offered by Jeep. The golden eagle has always been my dream jeep. Thanks for including my golden eagle tribute in this video.
For the love of God put a 5.7 in the Gladiator already! I would trade mine in a heartbeat.
Lots of great points here. The price definitely needs to come down.
The 4xE is a good rig, but it needs more range to it. I know of people who use them as electric commuters and love them. I couldn’t afford one when I was considering a hybrid or electric commuter.
A very stripped down Jeep would be attractive as well. My 2020 Sport Willys is close, but still has push button start. Now we can’t get manual locks or windows.
Lastly, build out electronics that work or don’t put them in. Aux batteries are the most hated part of a JL because the screw everything up when they go bad.
Happy New Year Matt and Ryan! Looking forward to more great videos in 2025. Liked a lot of your thoughts on Jeep recovery!!
Biggest is price correction. Then inventory needs to be recovered by not making as many, let everything catch up. Make it a desirable object again
Great vid. Jeep wouldn't build my 2024 Sport S with the 6 speed manual as I wanted ( in Canada). so soaked me for the auto. Thanks DRC. Happy New Year!
I agree, maybe something like a Levis edition. And hope they make some more colorful interiors. They are just too dark/black right now.
The following options should be standard on all Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators:
Selec-Trac
A limited slip rear differential
Tow package
LED headlamps and fog lights
Auxiliary switches
A pre-installed 115V AC outlet (Gladiators only)
I don't have any of those options on my recently acquired 2023 Overland - which I'm very happy with - but they are nice to haves and wouldn't add much to the base price if factory installed.
I still want a JTT but only 27 made and the price is out of my budget, I wish Jeep would offer this option I think many 2dr Jeep owners would definitely be interested.
Its criminal that there still isnt any gear options for the Gladiator or 35" tire option.
RHO (Removed Hellcat Option) at this point I won't be picky with color I will repaint it myself or wrap it give me the V8 glad
I’m definitely looking forward on seeing your content on the new build. Yes, the price needs to drop, hemi with the rubicon price will be at a loss for Jeep but at least they’ll have us buying them off the lots. All the best to you, Ryan and your family as well in 2025 🤙🏿🤙🏿
Better security is needed on Jeeps. I had my dream vehicle 2023 Gladiator Rubicon FarOut edition. It was stolen from in front of my building. I had it for about 9 months. Loved the diesel and it had every feature/package I wanted.
I've been happy with my '24 4xe JLURX - what I want, and will trade mine in for, is the extended range 600+hp/600+ftlbs/600+mile range that is supposed to be coming out on the RAM 1500 Ramcharger
Also have no idea how they charge these prices without adding something like auto up/down on all 4 windows windows.
We want the V8’s in the JL’s. Make a Hellcat addition JL. Give more options. Give us D60’s, beefier transfer case option. Stop forcing Sirius on us. In my opinion the Stellantis boss that quit had the Ford mentality. One color one model, minimal options to streamline the process to save the company money. Oooopps, he forgot to read to the end of the book, where it said the customers don’t like that, you need to expand the colors, models and options list. Bring back the Jeep events, make jeep stats available to all, unlock the PCM’s. Make owning a Jeep fun!!!! I bet there are more Jeep clubs than any other single brand out there. Tomorrow, if I could go buy a JL with roll up windows analog gauges, only required safety equipment, Hellcat engine, Dana 60's and better trans case I would. Wishful thinking I know, but you get my point...
Re-introduce the TJ, with just the Rubicon option of the ol days (Just basic mechanical stuff), sell it under 30K, call it a day.
Granite is not bland! 😭😭😭 Not gonna lie, I settled on granite because high velocity or tuscadero weren’t available when I ordered my 23 JLUXR. Spot on observations
They need to just make that 392 affordable ill even take the 5.7. And the color matching everything available in every trim
No digital dash for me !! Golden eagle trim would be cool.
We have in Europe Jeep Avenger 4xe The Nord Face Edition and it looks awesome.
Greetings from Transylvania Romania.
Thank you for keeping us up to date with the upcoming changes and the good the bad and the ugly of stellantis. Keep the content coming and I look forward to seeing the 25’ two door build out!
Jeep needs a 5.7 V8 in Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee.
392: 60k ,rubicon recon fully loaded: 45k, Willy’s recon: 35k… set those prices and people will buy.
Thank you for your videos,we almost bought a Jeep because the price was reduced but couldn’t come to terms. Gonna try again next year but after watching your videos I feel I will be way more educated in my choice. FYI the dealer had absolutely no soft tops, that’s what I really wanted, is there a reason for this ?? Thank you guys you been a great help.
Reliability, Reliability, Reliability!
Fix the electrical issues so it doesn’t brick the Jeep!
Electric steering system problems!
Auxiliary battery problems!
Corrosion problems!
More color options!
V8 Gladiator 392 or 5.7!
Pricing that is actually realistic for your blue collar buyers!
Get your crap together Jeep!
I wanted a 392, but at that price it just wasn’t something I could do. I got a 24 gladiator Mojave x. I love it but if the prices came down and it was an option for the gladiator I’d trade in for one I’d do it in a heartbeat.
Thank you Matt for calling it like it really is. I am so glad you came out and said the 41 edition in 4xe only is "STUPID", I couldn't agree more! I know I've said it before but I will keep saying it until it happens. 392, LONG BED Gladiator. Give me these 2 options. I have a 392 Rubicon; that's my "fun" Jeep; give me a truck that I can actually, somewhat, use as a truck. Toyota and Nissan are offering long beds; why aren't we???
30k hemi 5.7, work on the engine make it iron clad! I think the jeep is set up enough two door or four door! At least they fixed the axle in 2012, just need to work on the eco button for the hemi give at least a 30 mpg! maybe a little bigger gasoline tank too! It would be enough for 30k! as long as it's 4wd shifty it will be okay!
18:00
Yes, yes, yes!!
A V8 in the Gladiator is a must!!
It would be the only midsize with a V8 and harkening back to the Dakota days but it would be one of what 3 V8s in a half ton truck…
Personally I feel like it needs to be priced accordingly, under $65K with a V8 and should be available on more than just the Rubicon.
I would also like to see maybe the 5.7 over the 6.2
Affordable, quality and reliable vehicles is what Jeep needs to focus on to stay on top…
Agreed, '41 Edition exclusive to 4XE is just plain stoopid... Electrified Jeeps are truly a niche market, therefore, not a part of a recovery plan. Taveris' finger prints will be seen on several new models, including the new little e-Jeep. It may sell in Europe, but North America and Australia will be a different story.
I'd like to see the manual back in the gladiator as well.
They need to fix pricing. People don't want to "step down" from their Rubicon to a Willy's because the Rubicon costs too much money now, and just slotting in a Willy's at that old Rubi price point doesn't work for all. Color options big too, Mojito and Joose are a good start. Bring back the great brown and yellow.
Yep. Order what they want. Many 4xe are taken because they can’t get anything else. I went Bronco for exactly that. Too bad for Jeep…. Had a TJ with 125k miles, and a JK with 295k miles-lived ‘em both.
I find it strange that the basic safety package is not standard. I think every brand has blind spot monitoring standard.. and it's really needed in the wranglers. Agree with the V8 in the Gladiator.. i'd also not mind seeing the new Hurricane in there. Hoping the 4xe version ends up being similar to the ramcharger. Oh.. and prices need to drop big time.
Happy New Year Guys!! Thanks for a great 2024. I hope they follow the scout and do the EV with a gas generator. It would be the way for me to go sine I use my2 door JL wrangler as my daily drive plus I take my jeep on every trip. I don't think my wife's 4xE would drive very well for me on a long trip. I can't wait to see the 41' so excited!! I also can't wait to see what you guys do for us in 2025!
I’m really excited for the 3.6 auto. Thanks guys for the Jeep news coverage!! Merry Christmas and happy New Year’s!!
12:40
No to a fully digital dash, I’m not a fan of the new screen and definitely don’t want all screens.
The push for screens is cost cutting and Stallantis has done enough of this for god sake…
I love the analog gauges in my JT and wouldn’t buy a new one if it looked like a ‘25 Mustang…
I just picked up the '41 in a 2.0T Willys
I have no idea why Jeep hasn’t stolen the axles from the Power Wagon for a V8 version of the Gladiator or a stripped down base crawler JL? I will never spend the money on aftermarket axles but I would definitely order those as an option on a Rubicon if I was planning on running 37’s to 40’s.
Bring back a diesel.. maybe the small cummins that nissan used. Or maybe the r 2.8.❤
Exactly, and with a manual, not that stupid 8spd auto!
The 5.0 v8 Cummins wouldn’t fit the weight rating.
The 2.8 from Cummins doesn’t come with emissions so it wouldn’t pass.
Really couldn't care less about a digital dash. More expense with more potential for glitch or failures. How about a manual transmission for the 392, and for crying out loud auto up and down for all windows, not just auto down for front only. How much does that cost the factory to install on all windows < $100.
Power windows and locks standard immediately removes me from buying another Jeep…
Absolutely 👍 me2😊
Happy New Year! ... just bring the prices way down. You said, "30%" but go closer to 50%... up here in Canada that's still 40 to 50 grand. ... the Recon?! I'm an XJ guy and that does kind of peak my interest, until I see the 4XE badge. The other that would kill that bit if interest, would be to see the price tag on it ... bet it will be quite high, then ill stick to my 1988 XJ. (Imagine putting that monthly payment into my XJ!). I don't know much about the Recon, but you said independent suspension front and rear?!? Well all interest just left the building ... it's basically a street car
Wranglers and Gladiators need a 5.7 option at 30k… then they’ll see some sales
Until then get the 2500 w/ 6.4 w/ a power wagon trim for half the cost of a 392
No digital dash, got my vote on everything else! The lack of personalization ordering has been a joke for three years now
I recall you had us sign on something for you to meet with Jeep marketing team. Did that happen?
If you manage to meet with them please tell them to bring back the "hand crank windows", and eliminate the annoying auto start-stop feature function.
14:20
I would love to see some old versions brought back or even some new ones… the biggest problem is the price they charge. When you bought a golden eagle or other special Willy’s trim it wasn’t thousands more… Jeep (Stallantis) really needs to get back to its roots and honestly be cheaper than the Bronco or the upcoming Scout… this area that Jeep has owned alone for so long is starting to have competition, not solely with vehicles that remove parts but vehicles that are just as capable off road. Jeep is the godfather and they need to stay on top!!
Gladiator 392 with 35” tires
I have PREACHED to my rock crawling friends what you did at minute 07:30ish. Jeep would have already vanished if they ONLY built for the rock crawlers. The fancy mall crawlers is what keeps Jeep alive.
Exactly, you need to sell so many mall crawlers to have positive cash flow so you can build the 392’s or when available the diesels, the recon packages etc . Harder core guys like the rockers , mudders , overlanders make up a smaller part of total sales . Gotta keep the boat afloat to make the good stuff 😁
5.7 hemi or a better operating diesel then the last ecodiesel in gladiator or wrangler for not an arm and a leg. Gladiator extreme recon package and ability to get diff gearing ratios
Yea for me the packages have too many extra bells combined with what I want to get, I'm waiting till they fix it.
Black, 2 door, soft top roof, darkest allowed tint, front and back cameras, 35 wheels, screen with blue tooth audio and screen mirror for phone, start stop, remote start, power windows and locks. That would be about it the rest I would customize on my own over time, but there's so many extras that come with those features that I actually don't want to get it.
bonus 1: They should set up hybrids to be all elec, all gas, and accel assist option. That regen option seems like a waste. That would motivate me to get a hybrid for work.
bonus 2: An option with three piece roof that has soft back and the two smaller front lightly tinted clear hard pieces with UV protection. i'd easily buy that.
I agree with you 100% I’m a Jeep owner I had a 2008 with a 180,000 miles on her all the miles there where mine except 10 miles. I just traded in for a 2024 Willys if I’m not mistaken 35 inch tires Firecracker red and yes Jeep did a very nice job on the Willy’s. But as you said there is more to be added. My question is who can we contact to let our grievance known.
Combine a rubicon gladiator into a mojave gladiator and charge 60k with a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty, these things would fly off the shelf. Offer the extreme recon on the Gladiator for 5k extra. Jeep needs to give people what they want.
I think they should replace the 3.6 with the hurricane 420 hp
Hybrid and Jeep concept may have his place but is different like day and night, also electric dash fit wrangler like fully electric shelby cobra 😬
Hope we get that Pennsylvania Jeep Show for 2025
