Brother Bear was actually part of the Experimental Era of Disney, which was a sort of renaissance in it's own (even though the Renaissance era is something entirely different). But the Experimental Era is honestly my favorite. We got so many good, non-romance focused, adventure packed stories that weren't trying to do anything other than tell the best story they possibly could. No gimmicks, no pandering, no pretense. Just good adventures with good morals. This story doesn't really fit in with the renaissance to me, because (aside form the obvious of the decade it came out), it wasn't focused on the Disney brand of romance and tragedy. It was focused on adventure and emotional development of characters, which was much more prevalent in the Experimental Era. ...alright sorry for nerding out on you for that lmao I'mma see myself out.
played this at my wifes funeral ,she passed away after fighting cancer for 5 years , she told me before she passed ,she was not afraid ,she was going on a journey to see old friends and have new adventures ,this song seemed to describe it so well
Me and my brother would go to my grandpas house, he had this on dvd and would play it over and over for my brother. My Grandpa passed earlier this year.. this makes me miss him so much 💔💔

Im sorry but Brother Bear is NOT an anime. It might be animated, but it is not an anime. Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan that is characterized by stark colorful graphics depicting vibrant characters in action-filled plots often with fantastic or futuristic themes.

I heard this song on the Disney Cruise Line, and hearing with the environment I was in, and my home, the song became one of my favorite songs of all time, now whenever I hear this song, I always imagine the fun times I had as a kid on those cruises.

I love this song and it makes me so happy it just makes me feel like part of my family that had passed away is still with me which makes me feel so happy 😀 and not kidding it seems like they are actually here
I remember watching this movie on the way to Florida on some in-car VHS player. We later upgraded to the cheaper DVD player that actually worked 50% of the time.

I don't care what anyone says. Brother Bear was part of the Renaissance. Felt like one final goodbye from the era
Harwell Dekatron Here,here.
Yup
Exactly
Yea it fits better in the renaissance than the 00’s era with Atlantis and treasure planet

I remember as a kid (I mean I’m only 17 now but still) I would beg my mom to keep this movie on repeat. Such a good movie and so nostalgic.
Why can't music be like this anymore? Why are we stuck with all the crappy songs we listen to nowadays? I'm 15 and I miss this kind of music!
to bad Phill retired i don't understand why people say he wasn't a good singer i feel he was one of the greatest!!!
this song and movie reminds me on my son, we singing together, at that time he was 2 years old, i miss that moment...love you all
I was addicted to this song when my dog died. Now every time I hear it I imagine her running to heaven.

Lyrics
Collins
Tell everybody I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
With blue skies ahead, yes I'm on my way
And there's no where else that I'd rather be
Tell everybody I'm on my way
And I'm loving every step I take
With the sun beatin' down, yes I'm on my way
And I can't keep this smile off my face
'Cause there's nothing like seein' each other again
No matter what the distance between
And the stories that we tell will make you smile
Oh it really lifts my heart
So tell 'em all I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
And to sleep under the stars and could ask for more
With the moon keeping watch over me
Not the snow not the rain can change my mind
The sun will come out wait and see
And the feeling of the wind in your face can lift your heart
Oh, there's no where I would rather be
'Cause I'm on my way now
Well and true, I'm my way now
I'm on my way now
I'm on my way now
I'm on my way now
Tell everybody I'm on my way
And I just can't wait to be there
With blue skies ahead yes I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to share
So, tell everybody I'm on my way
And I just can't wait to be home
With the sun beating down yes I'm on my way
And nothing but good times to show
I'm on my way
Yes, I'm on my way

This is my first Disney movie. To this day I still watch it.
this song never gets old
Yeeeah.
i got film on DVD like a year after it came out for my 7th birthday. im now about to go into university... i feel so old. i wish i was 7 again
It's so sad this is one of the most epic Disney movies and it's so underrated.
Wouldn't it be great if there were more songs like this in the world? If it makes you smile, it can't be bad....... :-)
This is the definition of nostalgia for me :’( wish i could just go back
this is such a throwback. They used to have lots of great movies and great soundtrack.
No matter how old you grow, or how bad times get, nothing will cheer you up better than the hopes and the dreams Disney inspired.
The first time I heard this song was as a kid watching the movie and fell in love with it instantly.
The kids I sit for had their elementary school graduation ceremony and the whole grade sang this. I was the only person singing along 😭😂
I love listening Phil Collins songs than any disney songs.
One of my favorite Disney movies. Indeed, one of my favorite animated films. Too bad if only a few remember him.
