Would love to see more of this series and you ultimately mastering Yoshimitsu. From what I have seen so far, Yoshi in Tekken 8 can still be this "troll" kind of character from Tekken 7 but he also has a lot more serious new toys now. And, let's be honest, with how unique Yoshi is, it is imperative to also learn the more flashy and troll-like playstyle. Otherwise you're just another character punching and kicking.
KaneAndTrench is worth watching and studying as well. I think Eyemusician is still stuck in the T7 phase of Yoshimitsu but he's still incredibly good. Yoshimitsu is insanely good on coffee ladies stage because his wall carry and pressure is incredible. If you trap the opponent on small stages and corners with Yoshimitsu, mix up his DB3 and continue to lay pressure with his soul calibur dragonfly stance or his kincho into sword windmill. I think I am understanding where Namco was trying to go with Yoshimitsu this time around but I'm still learning as we all are.
8:09 Yoshimitu's funky hit box while on flea stance carried over from the previous game (games?). I've seen a Leo got hit by Flea while he's at the side of Yoshi trying to poke him out of the stance. I bet it's the same while he's back turned on Flea as well.
Its been really cool watching a pro in one game be a complete newbie in a new game and allowing himself to have fun while also learning and improving. Its been really insightful too as someone who plays only 2D and not 3D games.
I main dragunov but yoshi is my secondary now (two characters i barely even tried in T7) having so much fun in this game with these characters that i might actually get good and not drop it like i did 7, keep these vids coming
I am one of those people that watching you learn Tekken had made me want to learn Tekken. The first day with Yoshimitsu when you cyclone dropped someone and got a floor break, and both you and I realized on the spot that meant a combo extension was the moment that got me.
Even if you did one Tekken 8 video every 3 months, I’d be super thrilled. I genuinely enjoy watching fighting game players explore new games and how they acclimate.
Flashimitsu has thing now doing combos with sheated Flash, especially during heat mode where Yoshimitsu can carry the opponent across the stage while stealing bunch of health.
Just got Tekken yesterday. This will be the first fighting game I will try to learn till my dying days. And once I was Yoshi, I knew. This is the one 😂 I loved him in Soul Caliber, and so far I know Im gonna love him in Tekken. Might also pick up Victor (I love weapon based fighters) and maybe King (I also love grapple characters, I main Bowser in Smash and will constantly self destruct myself and an opponent with his side grab pile drive when playing stock 😂)
SC is way wackier and IMO just a lot more fun and engaging to play. SC Yoshi has a load of extra stupid moves like his fakeout suicide where he stabs himself as a soul charge activation then tps out of his own suicide into super helicopter stance. Also he has super helicopter stance that's flying at the top of the screen and dodges low mids and highs and he can do wacky moves from it. Also if you jump down from super helicopter you do a like ground pound when you land but there's a just-frame input that'll make him do a little dance that puts you - on recovery for no advantage, but it's frame perfect. You have meditation stance suicide too, which is super cool. While in super dragonfly you can commit suicide in the air and if you fall on the enemy's head from it you do like 80% unblockable. That's funny. Hell when you suicide in meditation stance you can do sitting backflips that do like 25% to yourself to try to hit the enemy with the sword. I also just think SC just suits Yoshi way better. He's not a tekken-style character for combos and shit and watching him do stupid jab jab jab jab kick jab jab punch punch sword slash combos is very dull for like 30%. Weapons in general feel kind of clunky in a game where each individual hit is generally doing like less than 1% in a combo like tekken where in SC most combos are
Next time you checkout Eyemusician (or Kaneandtrench, the #1 EU Yoshi) definitely watch the most recent videos. Even with just a few days their combos and strategy change a ton, for example eyemusician's ender after the tailspin is now NSS 1+4, D22 or NSS 1+4 ff2:2 (on large stages or for sideswitch). It's better wall carry, better oki and is an easy way to go back into NSS. the ff2:2 ender even does more damage.
I try to main Yoshi he is cool but bro what are his tools against an over agressive Reina or dragunov I feel like I can never hit and I’m almost garyu btw
I know this really doesnt help with you improve your tekken 8 experience, but you should watch eye musician play yoshi in tekken 7 because he is MUCH more wild and entertaining to watch. For the spectacle alone its worth checking out.
Yes. Mechanically no, but his gameplan is layered, and he has a lot of niche tools that require familiarity with not just your own kit, but your opponent's.
As a UA-cam only fan I'd love to see more Tekken.
Yea I think it’d be cool
Yes please! More tekken!
I'm only here for the Tekken. Hope we keep it up!
"Where did my health go?" Paul strikes again.
I’m super happy you picked Yoshi as your main. I’ve always loved the character and he’s even sicker now
Next assignment is to learn some goofy things.
I enjoy your "learning a character" series very much. Thanks for making them!

More Tekken please Broski, this was insightful

Golden Retriever, on the Mona Lisa: "Woof"
Hell yes, I missed the live of this thanks for making the vid :)

I wouldn't say no to some more Tekken content.
100% would love to see more of this tekken journey
I main dragunov but yoshi is my secondary now (two characters i barely even tried in T7) having so much fun in this game with these characters that i might actually get good and not drop it like i did 7, keep these vids coming

I want more Tekken! Playing both Tekken and Street Fighter rn and loving all your vids
Even if you did one Tekken 8 video every 3 months, I’d be super thrilled. I genuinely enjoy watching fighting game players explore new games and how they acclimate.
Broski learning Tekken? And with Yoshi? What's there not to like? The only thing better would be seeing Broski building technical setups with Xiaoyu.
Not even two minutes in and I've learnt something crucial
Found your channel through Tekken so if u do post more on your journey i will definitely watch
As a Tekken noob coming from SF, I'd love to see more T8 content! Cheers
Flashimitsu has thing now doing combos with sheated Flash, especially during heat mode where Yoshimitsu can carry the opponent across the stage while stealing bunch of health.
34 into dragonfly is a great alternate way to start that stance. The forward travel helps with spacing and mixups.
I love broski playing tekken. Favorite content ❤

This is so entertaining, please keep the T8 content.
As a new Tekken player these videos are also very fun to watch
Do you guys prefer Soulcalibur Yoshimitsu or Tekken Yoshimitsu?

@@mooncalf_4534 NAMUU 👺👹
I'm incredibly surprised the seppuku KO didn't make the cut in this video
At last, the best fg character returns to Broski’s channel.
You can go into no sword stance after a rising kick by holding back instead of doing it manually.
You're how I learned aki, and you're gonna be why i learned yoshimitsu

yoshimitsu in t8 seems streamlined. you might say all characters streamlined but it hurts yoshi's unique position the most.
Please play more Tekken!

Is yoshi a difficult character to play?
Yes. Mechanically no, but his gameplan is layered, and he has a lot of niche tools that require familiarity with not just your own kit, but your opponent's.
also yoshi's tentacle design in t7 1000000x cooler than this neon-samurai. led-lighted samurai. or whatever that is.
This is the worst take I have ever seen.
He looks 100x better in T8 the squid boy look was weird and lame.
100% agree, don't listen to all the tasteless normies who don't understand the character, Tentaclemitsu is best mitsu.
...Or you could just tell people to play the demo
I am letting you know that I only want to see tekken content
