I'm letting you know that it's best to see the rest of the video if you want to learn what moves you'll want to use with Yoshimitsu. Also, if you really wanted a gameplay-oriented type of guide, there are links to some videos from the series JOURNEY TO FUJIN with Yoshimitsu that show some of the ways I apply the neutral game plan under the video's description. As well as a new guide previously made. Also, if you wish to truly support my endeavors please like & comment as it helps me greatly with how UA-cam algorithm works. Thank you guys & gals😌
Fr tho cd1 isn't that good to halt approach(high risk high reward), if u do use it and its blocked u can transition to kincho and attempt flash (its inconsistent but ur gonna get launched anyways so might as well).

My biggest mistake at first was using kincho too often, would get hit out of it so much and then wonder where my defense went. You gotta use that when it’s “your turn”.
My biggest issue with the yoshi neutral for me is. I fall into the "do the gimmick" trap. And wind up being extremely repetitive. My additional advice to this video and neutral is never try to do the same thing twice. (Unless your opponent is asleep at the wheel) Ive had more success raw dragonfly f1+2 then doing the 3-1 setups. 😅 Stay unpredictable fellow yoshis
Have your like, but I think there are already a lot of good guides for general movement (TMM or PhDX come to mind), so I think you should focus on more indepth, specialistic guides! Love your channel (as a Yoshi main since Tk2 that came back from Tk5)
Making better progress in reds and about halfway out of Tenryu now. Samurai sword sweep is my go to neutral move for Yoshi. Also made my friend rage quit after a 14-0 set and was calling his regular flash overpowered, lol. I told him to stop mashing buttons into me but he didn't listen haha 🤣On a serious note, I really hope they don't nerf Yoshi despite what this patch did to him. I feel that this is one of the best versions of him even with the recent nerfs. Don't screw it up Namco.
Samurai cutter is so good, dang you've mopped the floor against your friend🤣. Same I don't want them bringing Yoshi back to Tekken 7, he's in a much better state for sure.
Your yoshimitsu guides are very informative and deep. I am lucky to be a yoshimitsu main so that i can use these guides. Recently I started to also play Jin but I was unable to find a guide video for him that is anything closer that you do. I think you can apply same formula for other Tekken chracters as well. You can start with more popular character to address a larger audience. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for that! Combos nice and good but what to do in neutral is even more important ... i guess? I always have problems against very defensive enemies

Your yoshi content has been so valuable for me bro. My yoshi has improved tremendously from your guides and gameplay. Keep up the content bro because it is priceless for the yoshi mains out there especially those who are starting out like me🔥🔥🔥. Mayonnaise and rice is a crazy combo btw😂😂😂😂😂
I was watching a recent eyemusician stream, and he just straight up said yoshi has no good neutral and his fundamentals suck. I gotta take his opinion somewhat serious as a top yoshi player
Thank you for all your guides. I mainly play lei and miguel. Been having a hard time to figure out who to play, and out of everyone yoshi has been the most fun
Bro I seriously thank you for these videos. I been enjoying yoshi and learning. But it is tough to learn and stay positive. But you have made it to where going into tekken to be positive and a willingness to learn and just get better is the sure way to go into this game. I’m going to push through these barriers.
finally someone made this video bro I had to switch characters because the rush down from all of the cell saga female characters were getting on my nerves
I let go of my heat button and rage art so I can do them manually. Easy access to his best moves while teaching you to be more careful with heat and rage arts. For me, I can’t party unless I know where I’m going. Learning to move with Yoshimitsu is a given considering his wide array of trickery. You don’t even need wavedash or k-backdash. All you need is to get used to being able to act while he’s back turned. Plus his poison breath. That is too broken when catching those who charge into you. Gotta force your opponent to give you respect before you party.
both cd 1 and 2 are underated keep out moves, people are scared to walk in after getting launched or even clipped by either which is when you bait them into bad stomach or meditation
My favorite move keeps being cd2. Great keepout tool. Can be punished and launches only on counterhit but if you learn to use it in the right moment people have a really tough time approaching you. In Tekken 7 it was even better because it screwed but It's still fun. Feels like a poor mans electric.
I look forward to each of your videos, Lobo! Tekken 8 is the first fighting game ive tried to seriously learn, and I decided to pick up Yoshimitsu due to how goofy he was. whenever i saw him in 7. Thanks to your guides I was able to reach Mighty Ruler with him today! your videos have helped me get further than I ever thought I could have, and now thanks to this I would like to see how much further I can push it. One thing I would like to request is that you increase the volume a bit on your videos? even at max volume they can be mixed a little bit quietly and sometimes I struggle with hearing. Thank you again!
I really appreciate your videos! I know that Tekken is super complicated and there's a lot of depth to go over, but maybe consider a "beginner" version to a lot of your videos to make they more digestible for newbies? I think they'd be a lot more popular because even as an intermediate player, 30 min videos are a lot to commit to, haha. Plus, if you have both a beginner and an advanced version, that's more videos for your channel too 😁
I need to play more yoshi's and learn some stuff through mirror matches, comment under here if you're around Mighty Ruler and willing to help a bro out.
Would you be open to commentate on some of your subs' replays to like do a mini coaching or things youd do differently? Or maybe just analyzing some of your replays to like dissect ypur thpught process while in a match?
Hmm i havent thought it all the way through, but maybe we can send you some replay link (YT or just video files) and then you could pick one that youd analyze for the day. Or maybe you could pick a match from your own replays that youd like to break down a little bit more?
I'm a new yoshi main, flash is the best move on tekken tbh. Gives me satisfying feeling when the opponents stop doing shit strings, to scared to be flashed. Im just on the red ranks, maybe this will change going higher.
Can you make a video explaining how to use his stances in neutral, like I’m trying to use my meditation stance but my opponent is aggressive what do I do for that?
And it can be individual videos for individual stance for ex. How to use meditation stance in neutral, and talk strictly about the stance and how to use it in certain situations. Like that would definitely help me a lot
Also ik im asking for a lot, but can you also make a video about yoshi combo fillers, like after tornado what moves can i use to get them to the wall depending on distance and also yoshi combo routes. Like what combo can i use to push them closer to the wall before tornado so i can get optimal damage, and also wall Enders for ex. 3,2,12 is a damage ender but what is a ender that gives you better oki or what’s an ender that gives you a setup, like i need to know info like that to become a better yoshi, and also it helps you as a content creator lol its a win/ win lol
There are a few guides that explain combo enders like in the mix-up guide video for one on my channel if your looking for wall enders, on my full guide there's a section explaining different enders for oki as well. I'm attempting to make a video on evasion so stay tuned for that👍🏼. Oh for those video's that I'm talking about you can find it on my Tekken 8 Guide Playlist.
At 25:50 you do a low sword sweep from meditation stance. I can't get my Yoshi to do and I copied exactly what your inputs say you pressed. The move is Shisetsu Gen an, and the list says its a "while facing backwards" move. I seem to have to press 3+4 to exit out of mediation, then D+1 to use the sword. You manage to do it straight from meditation and I can't work out how.
It is a 2 frame, just frame. There is a tekken 7 video guide on it that is relevant to look up. Basically go into med, frame 1 back, frame 2 down+1. Make sure the whoosh noise has ended and you can do the full distance downback.
Exactly what @iojot has said, it's a 2 frame input by pressing back, down-back+1 to get BT d1. Essentially you have to do it quickly once you've heard the wooshing sound from MED goes away to input the commands
One move I think would be nice to include here is u/uf4. Good range, Crushes lows, safe, hits mid, and tracks both ways. It’s a backbone of my neutral against step happy players and characters like lili. Great video as always!
