Bought one of these in 2018. Love it, it has opened up so nicely. Construction is excellent. The sound is so sweet. Although i own guitars made by Martin and Gibson, this Larrivee is used the most.
The om2 has so much heart when u play one. Gives back so much emotion... 😢

Just received an OM-40. Man that's the sweetest guitar I've heard ! These OMs (02, 03, 40, 50) are killer guitars IMO. Mahogany is such a sweet tonewood, better than rosewood for fingerstyle to my hears.

I’ve owned or they owned me!!!!! 3 Larrivee guitars in the past. Just love them !!!! . I had a Martin 00028 EC and sold it because I liked my Larrivee OM 09 better and I liked the Martin.
I got rid of my martin om21 too, my Larrivee is better.

How come Larrivees have come down in price so much? I remember the 90s when they were an uber-desirable boutique brand from Canada famous for that tree inlay in their fretboard. I think they were the same price then as Lowdens, now they're the same price as (or less than) a 15-type Martin. I know they've moved to the States but what else has happened?
They've been making both the high-end and more affordable models for at least 25 years now, if not more. I got my D-03R (rosewood dread in the lower-priced 03 series) back in 2005 and it's still going strong. You can still get the more blingy guitars in the upper-level series series (05 mahogany, 09 rosewood, etc.) if you want.
