I personally hate strong magnets. It ruins the soft feel and smooth feeling. I removed all the corner to core magnets on my gan 14 and liked it more. Less clicky, and more smooth. Thats probably just me, I dont think anyone else would like that. On another unrelated note, I think I have a very very aggressive turning style, but I can do 100+ solves on a cube that people say has bad corner cutting without a single lockup. I think people are becoming much too over reliant to corner cutting. Its like they cant maintain control without good corner cutting and magnets. Edit: I realized if done right with corner magnets, it can make it soft too, but many companies are making it too strong. I hate edge magnets
Yeah I think it all comes down to personal preference and what our hands are used to. I stopped cubing for a few years and when I came back to it I found it quite hard to adapt to the strong magnet strength in modern cubes. But after some months of practicing, I struggle with accuracy when I pick up cubes that aren't as magnetic lol.
Do you still like it? I want to try installing the magnets but I'm still hesitant so I haven't bought the magnets yet. I'm afraid making the cube not good because I don't have money to buy a new one 😆.
It has been a few months after I installed the edge magnets. To summarize: Do I like it? Yes. Is it objectively better? I am not sure. I like it because generally I prefer stronger magnets, and the presence of strong auto-alignment. But these definitely took away some qualities that people like from the cube: it doesn't turn as smoothly (weight of magnets increased friction) / softly, and it became heavier and blockier. So I'd say if you have other good main cubes, or you know for sure that you prefer a 'stronger' GuHong, then definitely go for it. But if you really like its original turning feel and don’t want to risk losing that feeling, it might be better to wait until you have more cubes at your disposal.
@@JusTwistCubing Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, i didn't expect such a long and informative reply😅. I've been thinking about doing this to my guhong, but I was worried it might ruin the feel. So it's great to hear your pros and cons. And i don't have any other cubes that are as good as this one, so it would be a shame if it ended up feeling bad after modding. I'll try to hold off on modding until I have another cube. Thanks a lot for your advice!
I dont think so. 3x1.5mm has perfect fit, so with 1mm wider diameter it's probably not gonna fit! I heard 3x1mm would work though (less thickness but same diameter). Good luck!
@@Cuber_Safi Actually I am not so sure about the magnet strength. I just searched 3x 1.5mm magnets on amazon, it didn't really tell what the strength was.
To the 12 viewers of the first upload: sorry for the reupload but I had to fix that crucial mistake😅
i love ur content:) ur underrated
Thank you, it means a lot!

Hey bro will 4×2 mm n48 magnets work?

@@JusTwistCubing thank you so much!
No problem!
can you mod the edge magnets for the super rs3m
Sorry I'd love to but I don't have super rs3m...
Where i can buy the magnets?
I bought the magnets on Amazon! If Amazon isn't availble, you can try looking for them on Aliexpress (it costs less there too)
@@JusTwistCubing Ok thanks!
@@JusTwistCubing is that cubes UV coated?
@@wileoo555 No it isn't, none of the GuHong Pro M model are UV coated!
@@JusTwistCubingOk thanks
you should've called it the guhong pro m(ax) not guhong pro m plus.
Great advice! Sounds more fitting! Gotta make changes to the thumbnail later
but bro don't I have to add repelling magnets to the ball Core
please reply
Not on the Guhong Pro M! Because the cube already has core magnets.
@@JusTwistCubing yeah I am just too dumb to realise this
@@Cuber_Safi haha you probably just forgot

N38 magnets will fit perfectly right
