- Want to know how to transfer files between your Android phone and Windows 10 computer? Do you get the "this folder is empty" message when you try to access your phone's files in Windows or is the option to change from charging phone to transferring files greyed out? Your video was great but do you have any idea how my S9 suddenly started to display the empty folder after 2+ years with no problems? An update install perhaps? Thanks again and happy to have found you.
Dude, why are you navigating from the phone-specific dropdown menu? I've never seen such a menu option on an android and I can't find it now.
My phone settings were a little different and I had to make changes as follows: 1/ Settings 2/ System 3/ Developer Options 4/ Select USB Configuration 5/ select: PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) and this worked for me.

The problem I'm experiencing is that file transfers from Windows 10 PC to Android phones are not completing. They are "finishing" before they're finished so only 350 MB out of 1 GB is making it to the device. I'm not sure if this is related to updating Windows 10 recently. File Transfer mode set, not doing anything out of the ordinary, just dragging the folder or files I want to transfer and it finishes prematurely all the time. File transfers to external drives and USB media is unaffected, its only my phones I can't transfer files to. Never had this problem before now... Any ideas?

hey question does your phone files stay on the computer after you unplug the cable from it?
Not unless you transfer them over, and in that case they would be duplicates.
@@TropicalTech i was at my cousins and he opened my dcim(photos) and he transfered a vid i wanted for a school project. what would i need him to do to get rid of the photos file then?
oh btw he added the vid to my dcim but i didnt see him take any files out he just unplugged the cable and closed the file explorer

Yeah that makes it sound like a PC performance issue. Although there could be some software built into your PC to improve game performance maybe thats conflicting?
@@TropicalTech So if u I get a new GPU this beep sound will disappear? because I don't have GPU in my pc my GPU is Internal.
@@hussamabukhalaf9650 Its difficult to say as it might not be the actual cause but gaming on an integrated graphics card is going to cause a lot of stress on your PC, so it could be that causing the lag but theres no way to know for sure. If you say your PC is old, adding a GPU will just cause a bottleneck so its probably not worth it unless you improve other parts. My beat guess going on what you've said is that theres some software conflicting with your games. Try looking in the GPU software or on your PC for any sort of gaming enhancement program etc.
@@TropicalTech hi I am back and I found the problem it is from the headset I tried to play without it and there is no lag at all do you know how to fix the headset?
@@hussamabukhalaf9650 Not sure but that is very strange. Do you have another headset to try to see if it happens with that one, at least then we can see if its that specific headset or all of them. If you don't have another headset to try, it could be some audio software causing the problem.

@@TropicalTech hello, you got the point. Since I m trying to make a full phone storage data copy, the tranfer flow it's around 21 gb
@@mat2574 If possible I'd recommend transferring individual /groups sections separately e.g. photos, videos, files. There's a chance there's a certain file causing an issue or it's too much to transfer.
If there's a problem with one of the groups you copy at leas you'll be close to identifying the cause.
