    This video did not help me because I was looking on instruction for how to use the convection setting on my oven, but I love you guys! Lady you have a personality that brightens a room! Great Pair you two. I’ll watch more of your videos just to see if anything is pertinent to me! Thank you for sharing!

    I'm in middle school, and have an oven, but might still get this. The reason being because it is so much easier, and when using a regular oven you have to carry heavy things, cannot put things directly in, and have a high risk of burning yourself. I am planning to prepare vegan lunches this following year and it would be a great help. Thanks for sharing! :)

      And I also do not want to buy excess electrical appliances, but at least I will be able to go vegan, and maybe convince my meat eater father (was vegetarian at some point because of me) to at least go vegetarian again. :) (My mom originally introduced me to vegetarianism and animal ethics at the age of 7, but she is not vegan, yet...)

    It reminds me quite a lot of the Remoska we get in Europe (but you can bake a cake in the Remoska too). I absolutely wouldn't be without mine now. I love that I can have a small pan sized oven. My favourite thing to cook in it is potato and lentil curry!

    This is so awesome! I only wish I had known about it sooner. 😭 I've been living in a dorm since August, but classes are gonna be over in less than two weeks, so I'll be moving out and I'll have a regular oven by then. But every college student should totally have one of these as well as a rice cooker. Between these two appliances, you can make so many things! Great video, guys! 😊

    We have a regular oven, however, this is our emergency....evacuation....oven. We live in FL and this baby has saved us a lot of restaurant bills when we have had to evacuate. We usually go to the same motel where they have an apartment sized refrigerator....no appliances aside from a coffee pot. So we empty the refrigerator and head out the door with this this in hand. We asked permission and under the circumstances, the motel allows this because it is so contained.

    wow! thanks for this video! i just saw one of these in target yesterday and wondered how to use it. didn't buy it, it was priced at $100 US. Although I have a conventional gas oven, I always feel that it's a waste of energy to bake a few trays of potatoes for one hour at such a high heat, it actually heats my entire apartment in the process. this small countertop convection oven seems far more efficient. another great video.

    1:23 I'd have to disagree there. I have a regular sized gas oven and I almost never use it. Convection ovens are so much easier to use and clean. I only use the big oven if I'm baking/roasting large quantities of food.
    I don't put food directly on the racks though. I use 10" aluminium pizza trays.
    Edit: Those trays also let you bake cookies in it.

    We've had the "As Seen on TV" Flavorwave for years. We cook all kinds of stuff in it: potatoes, kale chips, cornbread.... almost anything that you would do in an oven, but you can use basically no oil.
    In the US these things run about $100, just like every kitchen appliance seems to in the store. Just wait to find one at a yard sale, thrift store or on Craigslist. I got our at a pawn shop for $40 new in the box.

    Hi can I pls ask a question:
    - does the surface of the oven get super hot. there are some safeth issues with the traditional oven like it gets super hot so you need to keep it away from areas that might have curtains or keep them away from other appliances. is this an issue with this oven ?
    - the inside looks small... how many muffins can I bake inside ?
    - does it cook faster than the normal oven therefore i would have to tweak recipe timing ?
    cleaning looks like a breeeeeze...
    thanks

    How do you steam with this? I bought this to steam larger orders of food, specifically dumplings. I know it claims to be a steamer but this cooked the outside making it crispy, and inside was still raw.
    I would take it back but I bought it for $16 and it seems worth it to just keep until I find a use for it. I already have an oven so unless I'm cooking a big meal and the oven is in use or this will cook faster than an oven... I have little use for it.

    I had a convection oven like yours, i loved it just like you guys but it didnt last long ... a few months and then one day i turned it on to cook and the glass bowl fillled up with a very thick white "smoke" ... The heating/ cooking elements attached to the lid blew up ... Needless to say how scared i was to approach the power point to unplug it :) the waranty didn't cover it But even if it did i would have been too scared to use it again!!! :D Im using a pressure cooker now and i love it !!! :)

    I would definitely recommend a halogen oven to anyone even if they already have a conventional electric oven, because for smaller volumes of food they are so energy efficient,
    they get up to temperature almost immediately and they only need to heat a small volume of air

    One of my favorite vegan oven cooked meals is baked stuffed papers. Cut the top off the pepper, carve the seeds out and let it bake whole in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 then stuff it with your favorite veggies and grains. I like putting a corn and rice mixture in the papers with a tomato sauce

    Love your videos as always guys :) one thing I wanted to ask, can you do a video on vegan junk food / processed foods? Im kinda skeptical about them as I would for regular junk / processed foods. +619WWEFAN Oh yikes! That sounds miserable 😢 No, I don't have IBS that I know of. But I have a dysfunctional gall bladder, so if I eat too much fat/processed junk, I do not have happy insides :-/

    • @619WWEFAN
      @619WWEFAN 8 років тому

      Kimmie Nicole oh I see. Really all this junk and processed food is too damaging for the body. The saddest part, it's said poor developing countries actually eat better than richer western ones. Many of the preventable chronic health problems are so low in those poor countries as well.

    • @theshunnedBandersnatch
      @theshunnedBandersnatch 8 років тому

      +619WWEFAN You are so right! I think many times, we associate junk foods with comfort/good times/pleasant memories, which is why we crave them sometimes (I think Vegan Geezer just did a video on that). Too bad those cravings can lead to sickness...

    Great iinformation. I'll still buy one for fater cooking and less energy consumption of using a whole oven for small portions.
    I bought one for Amanda Jo Lovell to cook for herself, daughter, and at the time boyfteind Antonio Russell. Suprise to me they thought I was going to supply the food and cook it. I found out they were drug dealers, addicts, prostitutes, and allowed their daughter to be molested by the company they kept. I tried, thought it would be a great useful gift. Now I want one, digital.one from Aldi.
