how deep was the water there? nice rolling stream. cute young ladies in your images! love the different trucks, they remind me of my grand father’s trucks! he started with “Willies” hauling cars. and went from there. thank you for sharing a piece of your history! always enjoyable viewing.
You're welcome. And thank you! in some of the areas of 'The Rapids' the water was fairly deep. I need to find the photos of the water where it was so loud you had to practically shout to hear each other speak. Ken, Brian, and Johvan were really into the old trucks. Of course Ken was really into any old throwaway that he could buy for $50.00. "I can't git you a goood car for $50.00!" "Ain't no way! Why did that green horror you sold us shut off every time we turned right?" "It never did that with me." We still haven't gotten an answer from Ken on that!
Wonderfully relaxing to watch and funny too! I feel like I have known all of you for years. Uncle Ken in shorts and Brian's boxing ring shorts, too funny. The last photo of Uncle Ken, I think Brian has that same jacket now and it's "in" again! I just hope Brian doesn't try bringing the boxing shorts back!! Enjoyed this Walter!! 😅🥰
So many fantastic photos. Love the red truck on the dirt road and the photo of Karen in the doorway. Just the name two. I like the music you choose to put with the slideshows. I always almost want to cry when I watch these, but not in a sad way really, just nostalgia.

Yes! And it is funny, both Brian and Little George would leave vile messages on Ken Tapes to anyone listening in the future. I - think - it was about 5 years ago now that Little George was killed in vehicle wreck, where he was broadsided (in the passenger seat) by a truck that shot through a stop sign at 80mph just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Wendy, Ken's wife and Little George's Mom died in 1997(?) from a prescription drug interaction. Two different Doctors. Yeah, Brian has so many looks. You're welcome. Ken used to paint houses for a living.
Omgoodness Walter this is so tragic. Sending sympathy even though its late. I am in eastern canada Walter and love everything southern in way of living. I spent 10 yrs in Destin Florida. Must of gone by a road that led to Waverley Hall. We took one time through Columbus then a few times past Newnan. Then began going down 331 from Montgomery I feel a connection to southern maybe i was one time 😃 I started following Robert two years or three before his grandmother passed. Of course before byrd house as well. His cemetery vlogs. Time flies could be longer than that I remember watching him walk in to bryd farm he could hardly get in cuz of the growth. Said he was given the farm to fix up❤❤❤ Walter ppl have a habit in Destin running red lights i had to always remember don’t move on a green light without looking to see if someone was coming on red light U lost more than Little George Walter sadness overcomes me I remember seeing the sign for LaGrange.
@@Valencenliberty Yes, Lynda; it was a shocking blow to hear the news. Ken called me while I was in Macon, and told me. That evening I called Brian and told him and Mom. We just could not believe it. Little George had been asking when we can go down a dirt road again soon. We never did.
I did not start photography until well after I was fortunate to find the woman who would stick through good times and bad. I did not get married until I was in my thirties. I was beginning to think the non photographer never gets the girl.

Yep. Yes, I really like those old trucks, and the Panel Wagon was mine. It was supposed to be my Photography Wagon, but that never happened.
