- Thank you so much for WATCHing my video and I hope that you check out all my other content.
I release 3 videos per week, all watch related, including reviews, first impressions and general watch related topics.
I try very hard to diversify my content. Featuring known watch brands, microbrands, Aliexpress. Some I have purchased new, others second hand.
The majority of the watches that I feature I have purchased. I buy them to enjoy, wear, have in my collection. I then also feature them on this channel.
Being a smaller channel it is challenging to cover the cost of all the watches that I buy and partly because of this I have become an affiliate member with a number of companies including Aliexpress and Ashford.com.
If you are looking for watches from well known brands then it is worth checking out:
www.ashford.com
If you are looking for great strap options then definitely check out:
vario.sg/
and
artemstraps.co...
As an affiliate member I may leave affiliate links in the descriptions of videos. These links will direct you to the watches that I’ve experienced, reviewed and would certainly recommend. If you choose to use those links I will earn a very small commission.
Thank you very much if you choose to use those links.
Below are affiliate links for my absolute favourite watches on Aliexpress. Each of them I have owned and had positive experiences with the stores that they are linked to.

Good review, but àlot of money for a Tissot, looks good but boy that's àlot of money James 👍
What a beauty. Good for you, my friend. Good to see you purchasing what you want at a great price.
Thanks for WATCHing
Great video and photography. I really love the 1930s Tissot era, the whole Omega/Tissot cross over that inspired the Speedy is an amazing story. Congrats on finding this used, maybe the best way to buy this. Shame about the size, but that is just me, it fits well on you. Was the newer regulators in these movements a concern at all? Also, just our of interest, did you look at the Tissot Janeiro Z199 at all, maybe too small for your scale? Some might be put off by the Balbo connection 😅. Understandable really. Anyways, unquestionably pure class. Congrats and enjoy.
I went for the Dan Henry 1937 instead!
@@cosmodoc Yeh, I don't blame you, unbeatable for the money. Excellent choice!
@@theurbangentry I agree, the size is undoubtedly too big for most wrist. Maybe a case size of 40 with a lug-to-lug size of 48 would have been best.
I have just loved owning and wearing this one. It is slightly larger than I would have chosen for it. But forgive its size due to how I have connected with it.
I was hunting for the Z199 too when this one pops up at a great price.
It was great to see you find it again. A great fit for you.
And, thank you for all your amazing content. Definitely one of the reasons I fell so far down the rabbit hole of collecting and an inspiration for starting my own channel.
I have no interest in Chronograph watches, they are not for me … but when I saw this one a few months ago I decided that if I was going to get one for my collection this is the one I wanted, just gorgeous! Thanks for the video x
It is a very nice watch
I love nostalgia in watch design, it harkens back to a time when how it looks was as important as how it operates. This is one gorgeous watch, and I would love to have one. That being said, this is way out of my price range. I am currently drooling over a mechanical chrono just released by Islander for under 500.00 usd. I will take the remainder and jet to Australia and try and talk you out of your Tissot. That way I get both. Am I a genius or what? Great review, thanks James.
Hahahahaha. Sounds good. Thanks for WATCHing
I love the design, it just looks huge. 38/37mm would have looked right for this style.
It is big. But I like it so much that I forgive it for being large
I've been after a nice chrono and I saw your prequel video to this. And guess what I fell in love with this watch, and your right all the other reviews were on the black variant. So I hunted for one, and like you found an just a year old one for half rrp, it's gorgeous absolutely love it. Could say its your fault, but I'm so glad I got one, so thankyou. It's a gorgeous watch that's getting plenty of wrist time (it's tomorrow's wear as we are having friends over for dinner). Thanks James.
That’s fantastic to hear. I really do like this one. It has been one of my most worn over the past 6 months.
This is for sure a very nice chronograph, I love the design 😍 But… why are so much great watches that big… 🙄 I have a Britix swiss chronograph from the 1950s and it is only 37mm of diameter and wayyy thinner (of course because it is manual wind, which I like too). Perfect size to me 👌 I think it is much more elegant than a big watch.
I would have loved for this to be a little smaller and manual wind. But I forgive it for being bigger because I love it so much.
This is seriously cool James! Thanks for sharing bud!
Thank you. I have really enjoyed having this one.
That’s a stunner. Thank goodness you didn’t pay RRP. I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but like you said, there are a LOT of watches in that price range. Thanks again!
Thanks for WATCHing
I saw this watch in person on a recent cruise and was very close to getting it but ended up buying three Citizen Tsuyosas, lol. It's still on my list to get. Thanks for the review, I want it even more now! 👍
It is a great watch. Thanks for WATCHing
That is a gorgeous watch. Looks so different than my gilded gold dial.
Thanks for WATCHing
Just got one. Where’s like a Longines honestly. I put it in the Tissot mesh bracelet.
And yes I rock pink clothing from time to time so this really pops on those pink days.
It is a brilliant watch. Enjoy
That is a thing of beauty! Personally I find the telemeter more useful than the tachymeter. Enjoy it!
It is an amazing watch
I really want a telemeter. I think it would such a cool tactical tool for finding out distances.
It is a lovely watch
Love your video and intro. If only Tissot offers a 39mm as well for smaller wrist and vintage vibe.
Thank you. I love this one.
Beautiful watch and congrats on this acquisition. I always had an eye on the contrast of yours.. i did not mind the Gold and Black dial.. it looks vintage and fancy, downside will be - may end up non daily watch. Thanks for one more good video James!!
I can definitely recommend it. It is a wonderful watch that is one of my most worn in my collection
@@WATCHingJames Thanks James!!
Great watch this , I have the silver dial version , same as this, I agree absolutely beautiful in person .
It's never off my wrist ,
Great review.
I bought a watch winder for it as I've read manual winding causes premature wear .
It is an incredible watch. Thanks for WATCHing
Do you wind yours up fully as I was told not to do this , only a few turns to get started .
What a Beauty 👍
Thanks for WATCHing
👍
👍
Nice
Thank you
That’s beautiful
Thanks for WATCHing
Love the look but just seems a bit big. Im not a big watch hater. I love modern reissues and 100% agree that aizes need to be updated but i think 40 for this style is more appropriate. And 14mm is to thick. Id rather have a thinner manual wind. But overall very nice watch
I would too. Thanks for WATCHing
Very nice watch. Could you share where you buy your second hand watches? Thank you
This one I bought from a watch related facebook marketplace group.
But also look on eBay and Chrono24
Thanks
What's your preferred used watch market?
I just buy when I can find the right watch from a reputable seller.
Often using watch related marketplace groups or chrono24
Nice watch. Any homage watches similar to this?😂
Hahahahaha. Actually there is a great looking option on AliExpress that I’ve considered hahahahah
Dan Henry has quartz models. I bought one a couple of years ago.😎👍🏻
The DH 1937
I would love to see a telemeter/pulsometer/tachy watch with the Seagull ST19 movement. I would pick it up from Ali in a heartbeat as long as theres no gilt lol.@@WATCHingJames
Teezo Touchdown 😂
Thanks for WATCHing
this is the TISSOT that was made with OMEGA'S help right?
I’m not sure. I know it is a design from their own back catalog.
do you like the LZ 126? comes in white & cream
It does look nice.
I don’t miss a day a week nkuwan This show..😂😂😂😂
