Good to listen this, I love the original ride 💜
I'm hoping to catch it in theaters, if not I'm fine watching it on Disney plus. First I have to see 'Barbenheimer' and the sound of freedom.
I will say commenting on the 2003 Haunted mansion, I have watched it a few times since its release and I don't think its as bad as crowds say it is. Everyone has their opinion.
I think it did a great job capturing the dark, yet fun feel of the ride even if gets suddenly too Corny at the end. The Mausoleum sequence with Rick Baker's zombie makeup is absolutely THE standout scene of the film and for the time it had a great cast, with Wallace Shawn, Jennifer Tilly and Terrance Stamp included respectfully.
I didn't get a chance to see this in theaters when in came out. When it popped onto Disney plus, i watched it, found that i loved it. 😅 then watch it for several days in a row. It was charming and I liked most of the jokes and the story felt properly written...like made with love and thought. It allowed me to discover the (at the time) missing "hatbox ghost" story. I honestly, didn't see the eddie Murphy one, untill recently..and i was right not to care for it. I was a small kid and oddly enough, that version didnt peak my interests. It was definitely its own thing, nothing like the ride..well except for the "hanging scene" and madam leota. Maybe if i gave the eddie Murphy version a chance back then.. i may have enjoyed it....a little. Haha

For me I enjoyed this. I don’t think it can compare to the original. It’s its own thing. I really liked the cast and I thought there was some comedy and being it’s a Disney kids movie the humor is a little different. It’s not real scary but, there was many things I noticed from the ride which was cool. Subbed your channel.

I think they made a mistake putting out the movie this soon though, should've waited until October. It will suffer from competition the lack of marketing due to the strike but I have seen it a few times. It is definitely worth watching. Its more true to the ride than Eddie Murphy movie. Does have a lot of great features compared to the original. Don't worry, no political ideology in this movie. The story is pretty good. You'll like the characters and the villian. He's definitely right about some of jokes being misplaced in a certain part but over all I would recommend seeing the movie.
I do agree. I think October would have been much more suited for this film and it likely would have done better.

Sorry, but for me was so boring and mediocre. More way better the 2003 movie.
