@@GamingWithAbyss also the dodge sprint still works with auto sprint turned on, so you actually don't have to turn it off cuz it doesn't change anything
Another tip, when you fight boar just stand behind a rock so it will crush into it while charging, giving you a lot of time for attacking it. You can kill it easily at the beggining despite it 1 shotting you
You can just dash into it (where you do slide around the enemy) while shooting and attack a few times and dash again. Because your consistently going behind the boar it doesn't charge, if it does just get out of the way
Another tip: When it growls, it will charge attack, always. Use Lance to stop it before the charge attack, and keep attacking. It will NOT charge after being staggered.
You don't actually have to equip words on each weapon and magic individually. As long as you aren't in the "all" menu for word edit you can batch assign words to all weapons/magic.
Farm gold: 1. Finish (shopping list quest.) 2. buy wheat seed from the first merchant to the right once you enter the market place. Max out the seed. 3. Plant and water all wheat seed beside your house...(it will be ready to harvest in about a day and a half in real time.) 4. Repeat... Now you can enjoy the game and still make gold each day you log in. You fetch about 20g per crop...I cant rememeber because I make too much money. Enjoy!
Some of the things I've found useful: 1. Whirlwind is insanely good against any projectile enemies. Just charge it and enjoy them not being unable to hit you (unless they shoot projectiles you can't destroy with magic but regular attacks should take care of those). 2. A single dark lance is really useful against armored/blocking enemies. Knock them to the ground and they won't be able to absorb hits anymore. 3. Most of the harder enemies are cheesable. It can be the boar constantly hitting the rocks or some of the mini-bosses being easily locked into doing a single attack or not attacking at all by standing at the right distance. 4. A lot of bosses have really low health. Upgrade a good weapon to lvl4, use strength capsule and just hit him as much as you can. Most of them will be dead in less than a minute.
For the WORDS.. instead of doing it per weapon.. just select "batch assign" and it copies it to all weapons. The sprinting after dodge works with "auto on" aswell Side dodge doesn't require lock on.. just dodge "into" an enemy to dodge around to their backside.. (yes lock on does make it way easier, but if they gang up on me I dodge from one to the next to get around the area)
One thing I think worth saying, when you use the side step behind an enemy mechanic you don't have to lock on to your enemy to do that you just have to push the analog stick towards the enemy and roll.
Awesome video man, I love anything nier related. Playing the game now. One thing you could have added was that if you repeatedly tap the r1 button that you'll send a far more powerful blast then you would from just holding it. I love how the combat really reminds me of Automata, it's automata but with the abilities a human and magic book can do. I love the Niers Yorha death run similar to 2B's.
@@GamingWithAbyss I'm really hoping to as well. btw with dark bullet dont ever charge it or hold down the button. spam hit it cuz the first bullet hits much harder than the others that follow when charging. and if you are fast you can match the speed of the bullets when charging. also it deals more damage than the charged attack as well so no point in charging it.
Pretty sure it costs more mana as well. The Dark blast seems pretty well balanced, with it sometime being better to just hold(apply status effect fast, not spending much mana), sometimes spamming tap(higher dps and stagger in return for higher mana cost and player attention cost) and finally going for charged shot(hit surrounding enemies + almost as high dps as spamming). Basically it's just well balanced with and you have to consider the situation to play optimally.
@@kasp7674 I found the best button set up for me is Dark Blast on left bumper, parry on left trigger, a different magic attack on right bumper, and dodge on right trigger. I roll more than I parry, so I'm able to tap LB and right trigger as needed without accidentally pressing both and when I do need to parry, if I mess up and stop pressing Dark Blast it's not as punishing as releasing a charged magic attack early. When I had Dark Blast on right bumper, I would dodge and sometimes tap the right bumper at the same time activating Dark Blast and cancelling the charge on another magic attack.
HI! You didn't mention finishers!! So what I do a lot is I use Magic Hand, just a tap, to knock down medium sized enemies and I finish then of while they're down by pressing circle, great way to get rid of enemies quickly.
I disagree with that best word tip, it's telling people to ignore customisation. The best thing to do is play around and see what suits which things. Early in the game, poison is op to add to your normal blast spell, paralysis is op to add to your dagger and whirlwind spell, etc.
I'm only a bit into part 2 and I agree. The auto words seems to simply use the highest % words you have, not the best combo. A lot of guides in Automata said the same thing about how auto equip is great, but in reality it just uses the *strongest* setup instead of the best.
There’s another after you save the prince in facade if you go into his palace and find him and his guard outside upstairs the guard will give you access to the sand spring wells a fast travel through the desert.
