i relate to miyeon, sometimes you'll prepare hours early and some how some way end up running late its okay, as long as she is making an effort to try to be on time I see nothing wrong.

There are so many possible reasons as to why Jiwoong could have sworn at the end of that call. It's so annoying that people are always choosing to believe the worst case scenario any time an idol does anything that could be interpreted in a negative way.

In terms of the ZEROBASEONE fan call, I suspect calls are recorded by the company; e.g. for security and training purposes. I mean, if customer service departments regularly do it, I can't imagine it would be that difficult to implement for fan calls. Things like Zoom and Teams already have it built into the software, ready to be used at a click of a button to record calls. So, when the company says they're going to "forensically" investigate the allegations, I suspect that's just a fancy pants way of saying they're going to review the recording.
they also record for BTS, so there's probably not only a recording of the entire fancall but also the environment he was in during it, all they need to do to clear him is release the full video
That person won't upload the full video, has been on multiple cancel lists as a jiwoong anti and retweeted disgusting comments about him. Those aren't really things that fans do. Also jiwoong has been in the industry for nine years and there has been nothing but people, fans or those who worked with him talking about how nice and respectful he is. But a 3 second clip by an anti is enough for people to want to ruin his career

Personally, even if everything they said was real, there is nothing wrong with him 1) breathing out, I do it constantly, 2) swearing behind a piece of paper, it could literally be about anything, like back pain from sitting on video calls all day (mid 20s are the new 60s 😭)

If Soyeon truly has a problem with Miyeon wouldn't they have communicated and found a solution privately between the two of them? There is NO WAY that the only place idols discuss serious stuff is in front of the camera on a reality show like Knowing Bros. If they are comfortable joking about it publicly it's probably not a big boiling problem and Soyeon was most likely poking fun at one of Miyeons bad habits.

I can definitely agree that the tendency for running late can absolutely be a real thing for some people. For instance, for me, trying to get to arrive earlier requires me to start disproportionately earlier; e.g. to get to a place 5 minutes earlier requires me to start 30 minutes earlier, etc. Likewise, I have a recurring situation where I am inevitably always late for something because something or other always gets in the way (coming to the point of every week for 2 years now) even though I make a point to wake up 6 whole hours before I should be needing to (and before everyone else does). And I'm somehow still late!! For me, I'm either ridiculously early (e.g. 2-3 hours early) or simply just late.
It’s about having an understanding of how long it takes to do certain things eg.getting dressed and planning accordingly. Like for me I take 30 mins to get ready in the morning so I wake up 40 mins early to be on the safe side.
@@StanChunghaOrGoHome That's kind of the problem. It is entirely unpredictable - sometimes, it takes 15 minutes and other times 3+ hours. So, for me, when I have the odd early start at 8.30am, in order to _guarantee_ I get there on time, I have to set my alarm for *_MIDNIGHT_* (tried 1am once and wound up late) (for context, driving with normal traffic should be about 30 to 60 minutes).
I have a tendency to be late too, so I usually wake up 3 hrs before I'm supposed to be there and leave my house like an hour before my arrival time 😅

The late thing frustrates me because I'm dyslexic and the part of my brain that is affected most is the part that deals with time management as well as reading, writing, speech, vocabulary, direction (internal compass), mathematics and much more. So it most definitely is an condition for some people. It's a fact. Yes you can make changes to your daily routine to attempt to offset this, try tips and tricks, but at the end of the day you're fighting the way your brain is wired. Especially if you already deal with ADD which makes time management impossible to begin with or mental health issues like severe social anxiety or other mental illnesses it can make it much worse, not better. People are so quick to dismiss others struggles just because they don't struggle with it. Just because you aren't educated on the matter and don't grasp that others have problems and daily struggles you know nothing about, doesn't mean they don't exist. That's incredibly ignorant. Netizens need to educate themselves before commenting on the matter.
I'm not saying that any of these possibilities are the case for Miyeon as every disorder is on a spectrum of severity. But they should realize that it IS a possibility. Even for celebrities, as they hide most of their problems, especially health related issues.
It’s crazy to me that idols aren’t even allowed to be human anymore. He literally could’ve used to have been tired and this is not me sticking up for him literally people who work in customer service especially people have to deal with people on a daily. In regards to the video calls, I am going to assume very soon, the companies are going to put a disclaimer that they have permission to record the calls themselves. If fans are going to release part of their calls or edited calls, then the best way to protect the artist is to have their own records to prove or disprove what happened. As with any competition, you don't like it, then you don't accept the prize. I am not going to comment on this case as we see a few seconds before and apparently the swear at the end but she has never released the full thing. So I assume that she was inappropriate as if she did nothing wrong, why not release the whole thing? I honestly liked fan signs at first as it allowed international fans to meet the artist, but so many of them are now just creepy.
It's so weird how hard people have been coming for Miyeon's neck recently, the amount of backlash she got from her OST performance to all of the comments about this. It's just really weird to me, feels like some section of Knetzs have started to just hate Miyeon for some reason that doesn't make sense to any normal person!
I think it’s because she’s risen quite a lot in popularity over the last year so the things she does gains more reactions from knets.
Imagine spending money on a video call with an idol you hate just to make up lies about him to ruin his reputation, pathatic behavior, no one probably loves her so she's releasing her frustration on idols, this behvior is not new to her
I had a friend who had problems with time management and at first I didn’t believe her, but I noticed she genuinely had a problem with taking exams because she couldn’t keep a balance between answering questions and the time left on the exam, I realized it’s a genuine condition liked to her ADHD.
I’m not sure what condition Miyeon might have, but any number of factors can lead to her being late. I think critics are just picturing her being lazy in bed or on the couch, not trying to hurry, but the case may be that she is getting ready and some detail derails her attention and makes her hyper fixate on something as trivial as her shoes laces being uneven. It’s something she can work on, with setting timer and practice, but it’s unfair to dismiss the condition altogether like they have.

When Soyeon said Miyeon often late she could have also meant that she is usually late, not every single time. Because if thats the case then she would never be in stages or something.

The person who posted that video is known to be a hater since a long time; she posted a lot of hate comments about him and his family but deleted all her previous tweets to post that video, pretending that she is a fan. We reported her account for a long time, but it didn’t do anything. And when Wakeone realized that statement, she was scared to go to prison, so she acted like a hurt fan and started to say that people should believe her. She said she didn’t ask him to do anything weird, so why doesn't she want to post the entire fancall? She is determined to ruin his life, and people are believing her. People are acting like he killed someone and wrote many articles about him, but when it comes to their achievements and their Rookie Grand Slam, they keep it quiet. And I'm not just talking about them; I'm talking about you too, Angelina. You are here reading a Koreaboo article, but that account is one of the main reasons why these issues have become big (They wrote more than nine articles about this Jiwoong issue, spreading misinformation) and why ZB1 has many haters. They have never written anything good about ZB1. Jiwoong probably just messed up, thinking that the fan couldn't hear him anymore. Maybe he finds fancalls stressful and needed to vent in between calls, which he is within his right to do. It was unfortunate that the fan heard it and if it was me I would also feel upset. But coming to the conclusion that he swore at HER specifically and wasn't just having a bad day is a bit of a stretch. The timing of the company's statement was also clumsy and it sucks that the fan got attacked because of it. Just an unfortunate mistake that he needs to apologize for and be more careful about in the future imo.

Personally, I prefer to show up to meetings and appointments on time. For example, I like getting to my hair cutting appointments on time. Almost everytime I went to the salon, the person who cut was late. We learned to schedule appointments in the mornings.
I go to another person now. This person does my nails and is normally in the building when I arrive. The two times she was a TINY bit late was concerning her children. When we went to the original person for my hair appointments in the afternoon, she was not in the building.
All of this is to say that if there is a legitimate excuse, there is no need to scold someone for being late. Also, one never knows the dynamics of certain members. As different commenters will say, they were probably with each other.

if miyeon is apologizing and genuinely trying to be on time, i don’t see the issue. it’s like, sorry if you didn’t realize, but idols are humans and have flaws sometimes! and it’s really no one’s business except the members. i was a music major and had friends who were chronically late to every rehearsal, it was annoying but we’d just rib them about it. if someone from outside of the ensemble became furious and started to berate them for constantly being late, i’d tell them to shut up and it isn’t their problem.

Reason why people use the term negatively is bc people don't like rich people or spoiled/excessive behaviour, and it can be associated with nepotism. Chaebol originally referred to the a set/specific list of richest families / conglomerates with the most power in SK (think of it similar to the top 50 list by Forbes but specifically for families in SK). It's more colloquially used term that is thrown around now to associate with the rich families / golden spoons. Most idols who are called "chaebols", aren't actually chaebols (their families are wealthy but nowhere near well off enough to the point that their family has a conglomerate or can directly affect the SK GDP).

I've been late to almost ALL the biggest moments in my life, including my graduation (in which i was giving the OPENING speech) and my father's literal funeral. Money being involved doesn't change things. I've missed extremely expensive plane tickets because I was late. I've missed the beginning of concerts for my favorite artists that I paid hundreds of dollars to attend because I was late. I've paid so many other fees for random things because I was late. Sometimes I start getting ready for things hours in advance and will still end up being late. I'm not saying this is some "unfixable condition." This is 100% my fault, and something I need to get better at. But I hate when people on the internet want to play professional and blindly discredit other people's experiences. I don't cherry-pick what I'm late for. Just because YOU don't experience something doesn't mean it isn't real.

One thing I've learned since 2014 is to never hold my hand in the fire for any celebrity. No matter how clean their public image is, I might end up getting burned. This helped me stop to passionately judging situations and see all angles of the problem, considering all possibilities instead of saying "he didn't say it, she's lying because she's anti" or "he said it and the company and fans are trying to cover it up by discrediting her".

For me, I don't care if someone is late as long as being on time isn't crucial. For instance, a flight, wedding, work or movie. If it's a casual get together, if someone is under 15 minutes late IDC and if they let me know IDC. Shit gets crazy and sometimes it's hard to control timing - such as traffic, accidents, late busses or whatnot. Why do you have to be so uptight?
My MIL is inconsiderate because we'll tell her what time we need to be somewhere clearly and she will still be getting ready at that time. We were in Hawaii and made it clear we needed to leave at 4am to start the road to Hana and she got in the shower at 4am and we were all so angry. Last year we had a wedding dinner and said we were leaving the hotel at 6:30 to get to the dinner and she was still curling her hair at 6:30 and acted surprised when everyone is upset.
