Please try Fleur de peau and Florabellio. These two are quite interesting. They are not linear scents, its an experience so see which one you like. Another one to try is Eau Moheli, its linear like the 3 frags u just reviewed. Its a gorgeous beachy ylang ylang.
I love Diptyque fragrance, I own a couple but none of these, and I like the way that as you talk about the fragrance, you keep the name on the screen 👍Thanks 😊
I love diptyque 😊 i have full bottles of eau rose and eau de sens. Both are dumb reach ones, easy to wear and comforting. Definitely worth every penny.
I just sampled all three this evening and agree 100%: Eau Des Sens EDT #1, Do Son EDT #2, Eau Duelle EDT #3. Eau Des Sens has this breezy "1970's by the pool vibe" which makes me smile. The neroli is similar to ADP Colonia Essenza, minus the musk, which makes it lighter and more appropriate for daytime, casual, and unisex use. I will try the limited and impossible versions next. Do Son is a beautifully creamy sweet tuberose jasmine in the typical Diptyque way of being so fresh and natural. However, it is rather thick and gets a little heady so use it sparingly. A man could wear this, but not many, and only in certain places at certain times. Definitely leans feminine. Overall, I like it, but will not try the other varieties. Eau Duelle has a fabulous juniper opening which unfortunately disappears almost instantly. Was hoping it would follow ADP's Ginepro di Sardegna juniper nutmeggy woodsy style which is INCREDIBLE (my signature scent, actually) but is sadly discontinued. Alas, Eau Duelle does not go that way. Instead it quickly becomes a weak vanilla skin scent and rather linear at that. Will not try the other versions for this reason. BTW, I would recommend sampling Vetyverio (I have tried the EDT only). It is a soft grapefruit vetiver unisex which I call "Lady Vetiver". It is dialed down enough to appease feminine styles because vetiver typically reads masculine. At least as good as Eau Des Sens, possibly just a smidge better.
@@PaolaBianka Thank you! I have over 200 fragrances with a massive spreadsheet of adjectives spilling from every cell, so there's plenty to go around. :) If you are new to Diptyque, you must also try Philosykos EDT (milky green coconut fig) and EDP (more of the fig "tree", less milky, lasts longer). Hard to pick just one. Also try Eau Capitale... "the freshest, wettest sunlit rose" couched in one of the purest patchoulis I've ever found. Overall this is my #1 Diptyque because it is perfectly unisex and such a versatile rose. Not grandma soap dish rose, not air freshener rose, not drippy-resinous thick perfumey rose... just... ahhhh. You'll see. Acqua di Parma also does natural freshies extremely well. Ginepro di Sardegna is fantastic but discontinued though samples are still available (decantboutique.com). I also like Scent Split for sampling Diptyques. Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura is a brand new "unbelievable-good" limited edition bergamot citrus freshie. It differs from their stock Bergamotto di Calabria by tilting soft grapefruit (vs. tart citron lemon zest) and fennel/geranium (vs. musky/cedar). Also lasts much longer. Amazing for spring and summer! It smells "rich" according to my co-workers. :) I haven't seen any samples available yet because it is only available in 100ml size and was just released. If you want a decant tester let me know... I have three bottles. And of course, there's always Fico. Good old Fico. Tried it yet? Fico di Amalfi is a fresh Italian citrus fruit (think zesty lemon and blood oranges) with fig mixed in the bowl. It's not as fig-forward as Philosykos... the fig is just "in the mix". But nevertheless one of the loveliest fig freshies and deservedly an established classic. Finally (pardon the information-dump), you must get your hands on a sample of Xerjoff 1861 Zefiro. It is somehow as understated as it is majestic: Impossibly smooth, silky, unstuffy, yet as royally elegant as sipping Champagne within the walls of an ancient Roman temple or Indian palace. It is one of only five fragrances that made my A+ list... and everyone, I mean everyone, has so far clung to their little paper swiffer samplers like a life preserver. Hahaha... just amazing juice.
I have Do Son EDT and I love it,It wasn't love at first sniff though after second time trying on my skin I've grown to love it and I blind bought Philosykos and I sold it is very green like I dont want to smell like a fig tree for 100%.
This is a brand I haven't had a chance to try either. It's not something that stores around here have either. You're making me want to try to get some samples now 😀
Thanks for the overview. Although I love Diptique I don't have any in my collection because they on par with Jo Malone and don't last on my skin. I blew through 2 bottles of Philosokos like it was body spray.
@@PaolaBianka I know what you mean 😅 It was Diptique, JM and Aqua Di Parma that started me on my overpaying journey and now I'd only buy a full bottle of a REALLY good price came up.
Very thorough review! 👍👍👍😉😉Thanks for that chic! Will look up the prices of them see if I would really want to put these fragrances on my wish list!😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I have tried - even gifted - their candles! And I have been meaning to try their fragrances! They have EDP and EDT versions of their fragrances ano? Are they overpriced for what they are?
Another great video Paola! Have you tried Volutes, l'Ombre dans l'eau and eau moheli? Was very interested on Volutes. I love Eau duelle and Eau de sens! Would you recommend Do son? does it have sweet notes or bubble-gummy vibe because I also like tuberose. Thank you dear!
I LOVE do Son... it has that sweet and mild bubblegummy tuberose.. but it’s not IN YOUR FACE kinda tuberose 🤍 i will need to look for more Diptyque samples , i have not tried anything else 🤍🤍🤍
Do Son is the best I’ve sampled from the line. Saving up for a bottle myself. Really gorgeous!!! I’m curious if your sample is the EDP or EDT version? I’ve heard reviews that generally diptyque’s EDPs are not worth the extra coin as they perform the same as the EDT or are completely different to each other. And many fragrantica reviews always recommend getting the EDTs because they smell fresher. I have to go back into the store and test them out side by side 😅 but it’s a beautiful scent!
@@phuonganhoan4057 hi I have gone through both EDP and EDT and they’re so similar!! I personally prefer the EDT as I still love the scent whereas there’s something too green in the EDP that smells like wet grass.
@@phuonganhoan4057 you won’t regret it. My husband never said anything about the EDP when I wore it (my first bottle), but he always compliments me with the EDT. It is one of my favorites!
I love "Fleur de peau" from diptyque but I'm not sure I wanna take the plunge. Otherwise, have you ever tried El Nabil fragrances, I can't find any good "honest review" about them, (and on their website the reviews seem to be a little bit bias.)
