Wow. I had forgot about this song. It triggered me, but they were healing tears. I miss my daddy so much. Its been 6 years now, but as fresh as yesterday. Im so happy that I found your channel. Its past time for me to heal. Perhaps my dad led me here? I'd like to think so ❤
This song saved me a long time ago when I felt so alone. I would listen to this song and remember that even though I left friends to come back home, the love was still there and always would be. This is a beautiful song that stays in your heart long after the last note. Love your reaction, Rick. It is great to see someone exploring all kinds of music and being truly touched by it.
Lonestar was such an enormous part of my husband's and my story. Our first date was to one of their concerts and we fell in love with their music. This was big on radio around the same time my husband left for the first of two 18-month deployments to Iraq, and as much comfort as it has always brought, even now, nearly 2 decades later, it always brings me to tears. A truly touching song 🥹
Been in the army for 8 yrs. I am glad to have served in Syrria, Korea, Europe on a fraining rotaion. Cant thank you enoigh for the love and respect for us soldiers
While adopting our daughter from India back in 2001, the process for adoptions shut down after 9/11. My daughter was born on 9/13/01. This song came out around this time. I cried every time I heard it bc it made me think of her saying “Daddy when am I coming home?” Then the chorus was us responding “We’re already there. We’re the sunshine in your hair…” We waited a year for her to come home. She’s been home for almost 22 years now!
I love your compassion. You are an amazing person with a heart of gold. Would love to see you react to Where’ve you been by Kathy Mattea. I’m glad there are people like you in this weary world. God Bless
80s and 90s music was the best genres of music you need to check out some of 80s greatest love songs also my husband wants this song played at his funeral for me his kids his grandkids and don't sleep on Brett Young he has a great voice and writes great songs also
Cancer is one ugly disease my daddy got it first and my mom stood strong while something was growing within. She never let on she was sick. I’m swallowing past the knot that Auden formed in my throat. My daddy went through multiple rounds of chemo. We lost him in 95, it was only after we buried daddy, she went to the dr. She had squamous cell carcinoma. A short 2 years after losing daddy, we lost her
I am so glad I enlisted and deployed when I did. When I was deployed I volunteered for anything and everything because I had nothing waiting for me at home. Single with no kids I would volunteer for the shit nobody wanted to do or higher risk so others with families and kids weren't forced. I waited until after I got out of the Army to get married and have kids, but now here I am 100% disabled having to get regular injections in my back just so I can walk. Still wouldn't trade a second of it. Maybe me volunteering allowed someone else the opportunity to make it home.
To anyone that may have heard this when it was original Originally, there were voices in the song...of the kid answering the phone, the wife talking about the child sleeping in the tshirt etc Why are the voices edited out.. or is that different video altogether- help an old lady out y'all 😂😂😂
Lonestar was part of why country music in the 90s and 00s was so good. ❤
