like the longer vids. super excited to see the banshee for the trails. from what ive seen and heard they normally dont make good trail bike. im very hopeful that you can make it into a trail monster.
I built my banshee based off sabos 1st build but done a few different things and they are amazing at trail riding as long as you don't make the quad aggressive
I probably should have defined that MY idea of a perfect trail Banshee includes a peaky 2 stroke powerband; I am aware that cub porting and CPI pipes will be top end fun🤘 The goal is to be fun, nimble and not to beat up your body. What do you guys think of the plan? This is my 1990 Yamaha Banshee. I restored this thing 5 years ago and then built a 421 stroker out of it. This thing is a blast and it’s now had 40-50 hours of use and it’s time to change up the build! I hope you enjoy the video and let’s go 100K subscribers!! You guys ROOOOCK!! Banshee 1.0 (421 Build) - ua-cam.com/video/nXs7PJnLsF0/v-deo.html
LDR Berwick Maine. Absolutely hands down the best mechanic ever when it comes to the yamaha Banshee power plant..From top to bottom. Head owner Larry literally knows EVERY THING and can do anything with the banshee engine. Check them out, and you will definitely not be disappointed.
Not gonna lie i haven’t been consistently watching your videos since the 250r build but this got me really interested again and made me reminisce the times of buying my parts. I watched the whole video in one sitting
Love these videos dude. I finally got my quad back together after a couple years thanks to the motivation from your channel bro. I appreciate it man!!!
Felt you on the skidplate getting fresh air lmao. When you detail things and want those things to look nice, you dig deep and those finds are the best things in that field on god.
I came across the channel a few months back and have almost watched all your videos since then, and my favorites in particular are the longer, full builds. Although to be fair, all of them are pretty awesome regardless of content length! These vids make me really wanna dive in and take on a project of my own 🙌
Absolutely love seeing you turn a banshee into a “trail machine”… much more unique than a drag racer. Not that they aren’t cool, it’s just predictable. Glad you’re doing it different! Keep it up, MS
For sure! Where I live there really isn't a place where drag racing is popular at least in MN that I know of so a trail quad specific banshee is what I would lean towards.
You are doing a fantastic job mate, with both your projects and your channel🙏🏼 i usually never ether subscribe, like or comment on UA-cam but after watching literrally ALL of your vids the past week you absolutely deservs all of them to help boost the algorithm. Keep up the good work and excuse my poor english😅 greetings from Norway
I like this mike. You're fixing things I thought needed correcting like them pipes! You really should go dyno this when it's done. Be a fun video for us.
This will be fun to watch--I'm thinking about getting a Banshee. I do builds like you (a lot of classic 250 3 wheelers and quads, e.g., Tecates, LT250R, etc.) but I like to spread out the upgrades over time. Doing everything at once is a big hit to the wallet, while doing them over time keeps the machine interesting. You have this channel, though, so I can see why you buy everything all at once.
I love that you care about our opinion so much but at the end of the day it's your setup and whatever puts the biggest smile on your face is what's right for you I just love the content
Mike, I highly reccomend making the swing arm bolt greaseable. By drilling small holes through were the bearings sit; and threading in a grease zerk at one end and plugging the opposite end by threading it and slapping a bolt in. 100% agree with the planned engine build for a woods weapon. 👌🏻🤘🏻
Love that your still all about the banshee. Never boring, that's for sure. If you need someone to take those carbs off your hands I'd be more than happy 😉
I also think the green rings on the back wheels would look killer and the front and rear hubs I think would look killer in that blue color to match and I must say flames or not it's right up my alley and I love the colors man, great job I can't wait to see it all come together and I also highly recommend the shaved front fenders especially for a gncc or woods quad just because it's so much easier when flying through tight trails to be able to see your clearance with the front wheels and obstacles it made a world of difference and with being plus 1 in the front all the mud and shit from front tires just flies past you on either side and doesn't get you dirty at all.
So excited for this build. I watched your 1st build and got my own banshee to build similar. 25k later and it was the best bike/quad I ever built. Love the 2 stroke builds
can't wait to see that shee process it sure gonna look great as always !! just start my 400ex 6 years since i restore it ! now its about time to refresh everything .. a little porting new piston and ring and new paint !!
Heck yeah dude love to hear that your doing a xc build on it I’ve wondered what one would look/handle like can’t wait to see the build keep up the good work
This thing will look awesome the 400ex you did looked killer with the graphics you desighned for it. You have an amazing artistic ability to be able to design such cool builds!
I'm not sure what you do for work Mike and I know you put a ton of work into these videos and builds but I could definitely see you building a shop and building machines full time in the future. That would be the dream 😎👌👍
Love this trail banshee build. Just picked up a stock 98 and looking to go through it as a trail rider too. Great video with lots of good ideas. Keep it up Mike.
Stock bore and a good port is a good setup for trail riding! I also have a -1” roundhouse swingarm, it’s the way to go ! Cant wait for the next video 🤓
That's why I started following you there is SOOO many drag banshees and I love trail riding n love banshees can't wait till its done its so nice to see a trail build
Banshees gonna be awesome man, can’t wait to see it. Just wanna let you know man your the guy who inspired me to build my banshee. I learn a lot on your channel. Love all your builds, keep em comin.
Dude definitely like the longer videos. Also totally agree with you about the stock bore with cub ports. This thing will be sick. This video totally re-excited me about my banshee and you gave me some new ideas. Thanks Sabo!
-1 or -2 swing arm is one of the best mods you can do to a banshee for anything outside of drag/hillclimbing. The traction and weight bias shift makes a massive difference in handling.
Love the new look of the banshee bud and i like that its a trail build that is were most of us ride i bet it makes good power when u are done cant wait to find out u do the best builds man we are all very impressed with your work thanks much for what u do and taking us with u its not cheep at all to do this much respect bud!!
How are you doing brother!! I love the fact that you are doing your banshee again and doing it right you have learned so much since I've been watching your channel which helps me learn as well I just want to thank you for the kick ass content and yes longer videos are way better.
If the set your getting are the quality of all the different sets Ive owned over the years (and still running kenda klaw mxr on my 250r) they shouldn’t disappoint. Great video Mike I think it might be one of your best build videos so far. Keep up the great work brother.
Big fan of the longer videos ....and thanks for the link to the dial indicator ...ordered and on its way .... even though I am a two wheels guy I am really digging your channel
Michael, Your content is top notch. You bring together a very unique blend of the "HorsepowerTV" level of production with the grassroots feel of a guy in his garage - it doesn't feel fake and cheesy. It's also very nice to see someone with this level of ability making videos for the somewhat underrepresented quad scene. I like to throw on one of your videos while I work on things myself. I can only imagine the time and effort it takes to not only do what you do, but then also film every step. Just wanted to say I really enjoy it and you keep doing you, bub. Awesome job.
Actively looking for one to build up myself. Tough to find a decent Banshee in my area under 3k. Stock are 7k and up these days. Really excited to see this build coming together
Thank you for sharing these builds, I cannot express how much I enjoy watching these. You deserve 10x the sub count and if you keep up that good, hard work, I have no doubt in my mind that you will get there. Cheers From Canada!
The new colour scheme looks good! I also went down is displacement on my last rebuild, but got a pro port job and better jetting. The difference in insane! I only ride trail too. I think you are gonna love it! Also cool to keep the J arms! Can't wait to see what's next!
I think you should have plus one in wheelbase on the front arms because that also gives you more rear weight bias. Also I always wanted to try the Shearer two into one pipe and single carb. Smooths power band and great weight savings.

I built a 91 woods banshee back in the day. Motofast 2 into 1 exhaust. Lextron single carb. Works shocks. That thing was bad ass and sounded like a Indy car.
a great way to ballance the banshee is to push the front wheels forward a inch and then a -1 inch swing arm. this moves the weight to the rear by a inch which makes it not so much of a front heavy bike.
Wow that’s pretty sweet ! What a screamer

I built my banshee based off sabos 1st build but done a few different things and they are amazing at trail riding as long as you don't make the quad aggressive
They work fine as trail riders they just have a slight problem with there carbs sometimes
