Bow set up - Samick Discovery/Uukha Gobi/GT Traditional - Increased draw weight and new arrows.

Shooting 32# on previous set up, increased to 40#. New arrows arrived and first bit of decent weather for a while, so had to try them out!!

Just ordered Gobis for my Discovery. 40# medium like yours for 60" What are you running for a Brace Height? Also what string length? Can you use the string from the Discovery R1 or R2?

That’s awesome. My brace height is typically around 7.5inches. I follow Uukha’s guidance for the string, for a 60inch bow, with s-curve limbs, they suggest a 57inch string. For my 40# set up I use a 16 strand 8125 string. Again just following Uukha’s guidance. Their website has a really good section that has guidance on all sorts of set up and tuning things. SO what do you like better? The Pathfinder or the Discovery? Thinking about getting one or the other myself

That’s a tough one to answer, I like them both. If I was pushed for an answer though, I’d choose the Discovery. Just because, although the Pathfinder is comfortable, I prefer the grip on the Discovery. Plus it’s a little cheaper.
