    Just ordered Gobis for my Discovery. 40# medium like yours for 60" What are you running for a Brace Height? Also what string length? Can you use the string from the Discovery R1 or R2?

      That’s awesome. My brace height is typically around 7.5inches. I follow Uukha’s guidance for the string, for a 60inch bow, with s-curve limbs, they suggest a 57inch string. For my 40# set up I use a 16 strand 8125 string. Again just following Uukha’s guidance. Their website has a really good section that has guidance on all sorts of set up and tuning things. Enjoy the bow!

    It's the samic discovery? What arrow rest you use? Off shelf?

      Yep, it’s the Discovery. I shoot off the shelf.

    I have the 50lb medium Selengas on my Satori, damn those last few inches draw crazy smooth. You can really quiet it down if you put some felt on the tips around the bolt (the side with the leaf) and some felt below the hook (belly side).

    Nice bow. Really like uukha limbs. Where did you found your string silencers ?

      Thanks. Me too, I have a few sets, great limbs. The silencers came with another string which I’ve put on this string. They’re wool puffs.

      @@FAILNOT-archery i have a winwin black Wolf. Many put uukha limbs. The original limbs are pretty good too.

    Bro you have a clicker on your bow?

    Yeah man make more videos of your discovery bow! Those are pretty cool

  • @markychaz

    Question: can you shoot the discovery just fine with just a strike plate pad? Is the arrow lined up? Or does it lean/point to much towards the riser?

    • @FAILNOT-archery
      @FAILNOT-archery 11 місяців тому

      At the moment I’ve got a felt patch on the side which is approx. 3mm. To the naked eye it looks almost centre shot, if anything the arrow points ever so slightly away from the riser, but we’re talking about such a small amount, barely noticeable. For reference I use 5/16 arrows.

      @@FAILNOT-archery great! How accurate would you consider the bow?

    • @FAILNOT-archery
      @FAILNOT-archery 11 місяців тому

      @@markychaz I don’t have the Discovery limbs, so can’t say how a complete Discovery bow is. But the riser feels great. In terms of performance, I don’t think I’ve seen a bad word said about the Discovery, just a solid bow all round.

    Thank you for doing the video! It really help seeing your point of view. I know you said you'll pick the Samick. But I'm really leaning toward the Pathfinder due to how forward the grip is. The samick look good too but its very similar to most of the other risers out there in form. So I figured I can do what you do and wrap the grip on the Pathfinder too. I can always look at a Samick in the future as they are very popular in the US. Mybo do not get a lot of followers in the US and it seem they don't make a lot which is a shame. Thank you again and good shooting!

      i made a wood grip for my pathfinder, i did the same for my Samick discovery, i prefer the my bo, but enjoy my discovery too

    SO what do you like better? The Pathfinder or the Discovery? Thinking about getting one or the other myself

    • @FAILNOT-archery
      @FAILNOT-archery Рік тому

      That’s a tough one to answer, I like them both. If I was pushed for an answer though, I’d choose the Discovery. Just because, although the Pathfinder is comfortable, I prefer the grip on the Discovery. Plus it’s a little cheaper.
