The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Framed [1972]

- Incredible Alex from Scotland and his sensational band - that's it. Alex had wonderful charismatic persona and unbelievable imagination. Skiffle , blues, rock 'n' roll, glam rock, theatre, comic strips, movies, pirates, main stream hits etc. - all mixed together in one soup. If you listen just one or two of their songs, it's impossible to understand what it's all about, 'cos songs are so different. But the most important thing to remember is that this was mainly a stage band.
There is rather many live sessions here, but I wanted to upload some of his studio recordings, not best sellers, but fine examples.
I hope owners of the rights want to see this as an honor to these fine artists.
And same goes to these random photos, which I have found from net.
My hope is that everyone can just listen to these great musicians. Enjoy!
It's so nice, that you can still buy these recordings for example on CD, mine is an old vinyl album!

You'll always be alive in our hearts.
We will miss you so, this is such a massive shock... 😭
I'm devastated, but I'm truly thankful for all the wonderful moments you've made me live. X
Thanks... 😭💔🎶🥁
Yes! The real deal, as we would say in our parts. What a great band.
Fantastic
An absolute classic!
Haven't such a powerful, amazing song in a LONG time.
If you're really unlucky, you could get Framed and The Jack on one night out.
I love it
so good..i ain`t listened to this for a long time....you know when a tune comes back to ya?? thnx Alex Harvey.....& SAHB...
its kind of weird but from what i understand that over half of their album sales were between sandusky and ashtabula... basically, Cleveland, OH. Cleveland is the only city where they could headline. still here 4 or 5 SAHB songs here and there on classic rock stations in Cleveland. I didnt realize most people in USA have no firkin clue who the hell these guys are. every rock n roller in Cleveland, myself included, grew up with these guys. thanks for posting. been looking for the studio
WMMS in Cleveland was instrumental in exposing SAHB to Clevelanders. Not only did the radio station play their music but they also sponsored WMMS Monday Night Out at the Agora downtown in 1974. ua-cam.com/video/SUKXkeEU-ps/v-deo.html

Type in THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND FRAMED LIVE 1974
#Cojwat what's the best album to check out? Finding him through tear gas band
You made a very good question.
And I will answer: I don't know.
:)
In fact Alex didn't made any Very high level album.
But they are all good.
He was so much live musician that none of the albums didn't catch that feeling.
First one “Framed” is rough, second “Next” is much alike, but little bit more sophisticated.
In next ones “The Impossible Dreams” and “Tomorrow Belongs To Me” there are maybe more theatrical elements in music.
And all the albums are little bit uneven quality.
So there is highlights in every album but I can't say which one is the best.
Maybe someone can, but not me. :)
UA-cam Vortex travel in early 70s music. I give him a listen. Thanks for the input I appreciate
El primo de Bon scott
I was aframeda
iWAS the victim of someones evil plan
actually its alex and the soul band not giant moth, that was his psych band
That's because your lp is not SAHB. It's Alex with a different band from pre-SAHB sessions. If you Google Alex Harvey Giant Moth you will find a Wiki page that explains it. The lp you have is quite rare.
