I don't use maid, I don't use drivers. It is shameful that we pay them pittance because there is no concept of minimum wage in India. It is exploitation. The day minimum wage comes into effect, the wage of a maid will be more than your salary. There are no jobs, so government is taking shortcut "at least they will get some money". More than maids and drivers, we need breathable air, roads without potholes, drinkable tap water, cities, towns and villages which are not eye sores.

The availability of healthcare in India is towards the top 5% earners. In US, UK and other countries, healthcare is easily available for their top 5% as well. So it is not a privilege for Indians. Top 5% are paying money and availing the services. Having maid and other services that you mentioned is there in India because those people don't get better opportunities. In US and UK people don't prefer to work in low paying jobs because they have better options. Only those who earn a lot can spend enough to get people as househelp.

But in return of 30% people should be given some social security. At the end people who can, will try to work abroad till taxes are normalized in India.

The availability of healthcare in India is towards the top 5% earners. In US, UK and other countries, healthcare is easily available for their top 5% as well. So it is not a privilege for Indians. Top 5% are paying money and availing the services.
Having maid and other services that you mentioned is there in India because those people don't get better opportunities. In US and UK people don't prefer to work in low paying jobs because they have better options. Only those who earn a lot can spend enough to get people as househelp.
