as of today I found out both of engine mounts are ripped .. :/
SO I will have to replace the again but this time I will be getting them from Z1 Off Road
Will probably make a video on that too )
Motor Mounts Torque spec is = 65 ft•lb NOT 88,
Hello everyone and welcome to another Xterra video !
Today I am working on replacing Engine Mounts and in doing so I hope to eliminate the vibration that I got now truck is at idle .

As I said in video I was told the price to do this at the shop would be anywhere between 400-600 the range is because I called 3 different shops just to get a better ideal. So I think I did well by doing the work myself yet again.

@@DIY_AUTO_PHOTO trying to research and see if I can tackle it on my own. I’ve done maintenance such as fluid changes including the trans and diff, but nothing like this.
@@notthatlopez7280 I see, technically its not that hard as long as bolts come off easy lol and like I said just need to be carful and make sure that engine is well supported with a jack . I wonder how much people would ask you at mechanic shops , have you called to find out yet ?

I worked for Nissan, I know that kind of diagram @26:47, the 2nd # inside the parenthesis is the ft•lb value so you need 65 ft•lb NOT 88, that's the Newton meter value.

Thank you very much ! they been great so far no issues yet ! lol ))) the prg mounts are good but then getting them its a Russian roulette ... you might get them you might not based on so many bad reviews lately people dealing with him .. ether takes too long or they never get items.. .

They are pos. 1 year on mine and they are destroyed. Can't even warranty them. Get oem

hey hopefully you can fix it soon! well it depends on few factors like if you have front diff or not.. ( if its 2wd ) its easier to do as bolts are much easier to get access too. also how rusty or how hard bolts are to unbolt but like it been said here impact gun can help alot.. so I would say it could be 1 hour job could be 2 hour job but its not that hard its just few bolts to undo here and there and just watch out for engine when its up in the air ))

I mean I was recording a video so when I do that it takes longer but without just look at the video few times see what tools you need to get it done its not that hard just have to be careful and follow the steps its no where near 8 hour job.. they just full of ... you know full of it.. lol

@@RonaldinhoPMP7000 I haven't done transmission mount yet as it is still looks good. so that time is just for engine mounts .. also a tip.. just make sure you can loosen up all the bolts first that way you know you can remove them and replace the mounts . other way if one won't move then you wont be able to complete the job

Anchor mounts are so shitty. Mine failed in a year as well. Rockauto shouldn't even sell them
Yeah man I agree... never again will buy them or use cheaper parts on critical parts like that in the end it will cost more and have to do it all over again

Hey ! no no need as it simple unbolt lift and then bolt back in.. it don't change any steering or suspension components

I feel you ! but the more I work with my truck the more sure I become in myself and confident not cocky but sure in my ability to do some thing or another lol
ah yes its pretty rusty under there... mostly just the bolts the frame itself still looks fine with just superficial rust for the most part...
as to the history of my truck I know very little the previews owner was an older gentlemen and for the past few years before me it was in NJ
@@DIY_AUTO_PHOTO What year and how many miles are on your X because it looks almost brand new and there are some products that owners have had good luck with restoration and stopping of further corrosion, but a pain to do a proper application.
Oh, and on another subject, on my 1908 OFF ROAD trim X I recently bought that had 183000k miles on it that I suspected had plugged catalytic converter ? Well that was it, I gutted them and it runs much better but it needs coil packs and plugs. So, my 50 K S trim except

@@DIY_AUTO_PHOTO I use the cordless Milwaukee M18 Fuel.. ITS PHENOMENAL. I just replaced my outer tie rods and it made removing the bolt a piece of cake. I’m about to replace my suspension on my X with 2 inches of lift and I can’t wait to use it.
@@theTony2times oh nice ! yeah Milwawkee makes great tools ! unfortunately at that time I didn't had an impacts gun , but before I started doing my Titan Swap I bought one its cheap but it saved me ! lol

@@DIY_AUTO_PHOTO just something simple from Alldogs off-road.. it’s rear and front shocks with lift coils, it’ll give me 2 inches.. it’s really a suspension refresh. My Pro4X has 208k miles
