Inuyasha and Miroku are trapped in an acidic cocoon by the demon bandit, Gatenmaru,
with only Miroku's slowly dwindling barrier protecting them. With Inuyasha both separted from Tetsusaiga
and succumbing to poison, they are both forced to watch as Gatenmaru and his men torture and kill civilians.
With the rage of watching innocents die and the threat of death closing in, Inuyasha reaches
his breaking point...

I just noticed that even though he was on the verge of transforming for a long while, he doesn't actually transform until the bandits try to go after Kagome.

This is toned down version of what’s in the manga. Manga version has him beheading them with his claws, and not even the three begging for mercy lived.

It's quite amazing to watch scenes from really old anime, mostly to see how far the animators have come. Here it's mostly comprised of still images and black screens with a red slash on top, compared to todays elaborate full motion animations where we see more or less every movement.

@@jeremiahbaugh8195 Even accounting for that, there's plenty of extremely fluid hand-drawn animation examples from the same era, and even as far back as the earliest cartoons.
Those still images are still pretty hardcore, they're getting torn to shreds.

I was very confused about that. Inuyasha can slaughter thousands of evil demons and never look back but he kills a few evil humans and it traumatizes him. Why would humans be innately special to a half demon?

I think its more of the fact that he was ENJOYING a mindless rampage. Imagine waking up with blood on your hands and you realise you killing literally anyone you see for fun.
Plus, Im pretty sure Inuyasha would have tried killing his friends if sesshomaru didn't show up. So that loss of control IS terrifying.

In the English dub inuyasha says “you vermin!” So satisfying yet also terrifying. I love how kagome shields shippo’s eyes when she realized what’s going on. This scene stuck with me for years
This is the first time we got to see Inuyasha slaughtering humans in cold blood (albeit in his berserker state). Then again these bandits had it coming for their “Rape, Pillage, and Burn” tactics.
Is it bad that I only feel sympathy for the horse caught in this struggle.
No, the bandets got what they deserved, but I do feel sorry for the horses, it's not there fault there owners are total scumbags.
I feel bad for the horses too like they didnt even know what was happening and got brutally murdered by inuyasha

First time seeing this in 2002-2003 as a 6th grader waking up with the tv on was crazy. This was the first episode i ever seen…first scene I ever seen absolutely wild 😂

I love the scene after this when inuyasha is back to normal, standing in the middle of the river and trying to wash away the sent of human blood but he can't, him panicking while doing that shows you that he cherishes human life.
his little growls sometimes sound like one of my cats when they see their reflection in a mirror. ah. gotta love the good ol' subby boi. sounds like a cat.
In that state inuyasha is like a raved wild animal and those bandits just learned an extremely hard brutal lesson.
Makes me wonder about Inuyasha's inner demon form strength note: He generated a barrier in that cocoon that widened it enough for him to use his Iron reemer attack, something Miroku was barely doing to begin with but he's human sure. But Sure he couldn't beat Shesshomaru head-on with tokijin. Not saying Shesshomeru couldn't have pulled it off in his human and demonic forms without the sword as shown by sheer speed of being offspring by 2 powerful dog demons & not half. But Inuyasha's hidden power if only it could be controlled like Goku's great ape in GT wonder how far his inner strength and swordsmanship could go. He gets a considerable boost from this transformation.
Makes you wonder what if like Saiyans Hybrids in DragonBall rules, demon-human hybrids have crazy potential compared to full demons in fact in the Devil May Cry universe Dante, Vergil, and Nero proved just that

When he’s fighting Sesshomaru in the confrontation leading to Tessaiga absorbing Meido Zangetsuha, he seems to go full demon but can control himself. Probably the closest it’ll get.
I thought that if Inuyasha became a full-demon, his power would be roughly equal to Sesshomaru’s. Only thing is that if they fought Sesshomaru would still win, due to being the more sophisticated fighter.

Inuyasha in his true form goes completely berserk and begins to cruelly murders the human bandits.
To be fair they deserved it, though I do feel bad for the horses.
Besides those rare moments when Sesshomaru gets to kill people off, this is my favorite scene in the entire anime and manga.
I love Inuyasha's youkai form.
But he need to control it and become a powerful demon like his father. They did make night of the new moon to become human but why didn't make like night of the full moon to become full demon like his father only on that night he would get a chance to defeat Sesshomaru.

The moment Inuyasha transformed I was like uh oh here we go again but then I realized oh he did it to protect not only his friends but especially Kagome because the leader of the bandits wanted Kagome but he didn’t get what he wanted thanks to Inuyasha. I was both scared and satisfied at the same time. The ending of this episode was so heartwarming to watch because when Kagome said to Inuyasha I know how you feel it shows that she cares for him and Inuyasha cares for her so much that he’s worried about transforming again to hurt her instead of protecting her.

@@narendaranbommannan2436 in my opinion I would agree that Sesshomaru’s arrogance is not acceptable but in this episode as Kagome says that it’s like Sesshomaru came to stop Inuyasha’s violent behavior. I think that he is slowly caring for his little brother ever since he met Rin also I would think that Sesshomaru would act the way he acts because he doesn’t want to show his enemies his weaknesses which include Jaken, Rin, and Inuyasha plus his group of friends.

The only thing that I didn’t understand about him being in full demon mode was the tessaiga. If the tessaiga is meant to keep inuyashas demon mode “in check” why didnt he transform like this 50 years ago when he was still with kikyo? I’ve always wondered that! There have been plenty of times his life was in peril before the tessaiga even came to into play. So why now? Not that im complaining lol I LOVE youkai inuyasha! ❤️🔥🤍💜
