It absolutely drives me mad when people say "theres no endgame content/challenge in bl3" like *ahem* 6 RAID difficulty PG's 2 events made harder by default 5 actual bosses (Wotan, Vermi, Hemo, Scourge, Anathema) 1 underboss raidboss (Valkyries) 3 Circle of Slaughters. Psychoreaver Spongeboyo. Seer. I have absolutely NO idea what people mean when they say this. Youre fundamentally wrong.
AND the 6 True Trials, Joey Ultraviolet, Captain Haunt and both Takedowns are all FREE. That’s ELEVEN Raid boss level enemies FREE. BL2 has TEN total and 8 of those are in Paid DLC. Also Vermi is near impossible to spawn as a solo player, so basically ONE Raid boss

Bl1 was awesome but craw felt way too much of a pushover, then i agree with your bl2 statement, presequel is better than bl1 for stuff to do after everything, but not quite there while bl3 is NUTTY. i like feeling rewarded for killing bosses. When I fought Joey for the first time about a year ago, I was genuinely surprised by how much health he had. No wonder Maurice didn't want to deal with this guy by himself.
@@Enaz924 And I believe it's still possible for Joey to be *actually* unbeatable sometimes: when he's flanked by Josie Byte doing *too much damage* at a certain HP gate makes the game skip the trigger to lift her invincibility shield.
I personally don’t find it fun. The playthrough just to get to the end game as well isn’t as fun to me while I still play borderlands 2 to this day. Everyone has differing opinions though not everyone’s going to love 3 and not everyone’s going to love 2

@@sharebear421 BL2 is my favorite Borderlands, I own four copies of it(Base game and GOTY on Xbox 360, Handsome collection on Xbox One and Steam). I just feel like everyone disregards BL3 because it isn't exactly like BL2, but for me it is an extremely close 2nd place. I actually think BL3 did a lot of things better than BL2.
Imagine if we had Destiny like raids in Borderlands! Puzzles, endless enemies coming at you, boss mechanics, hidden rooms, hour+ raids... that would be EPIC!
@@Ki11ersix I think the balance of having Takedowns and True Takedowns works nicely. I tend to choose one or the other depending on how strong my builds are.
I personally wouldn’t be a fan considering doing any raid on destiny solo is borderline impossible. It very overwhelmingly pushes players to team up basically saying screw you to solo players. I’m sorry but you shouldn’t be punished for playing solo. Arms race does that and that’s the main reason I don’t like it all that much. If you’re in a team as and you die as long as your team stays alive they can bring you back but if you play solo and you die gearbox basically just says screw you. Now that’s just guns and at the very least it’s doable but feeling left out of content just because you don’t like playing with others is kind of a scummy thing to do. Now if they add in destiny elements but make it absolutely possible (not kinda possible there’s a difference) then I’d be on board
@@Ki11ersix is that the only option in this outside of co-op with friends? destiny being an mmo and easily finding people to do raids with was the high point of the game for me (NOT destiny two. garbage game. destiny 1 was revolutionary in 2013). im not a fan of any epic fights being solo or even solo games in general for the most part. monster hunter for instance has that mechanic where whilek fighting a monster u can open your party up for others fighting the same monster and they phase in. love that. how does the multiplayer in this work? its 8 bucks right now i figure i might as well grab it considering its typically 60. i did play bl2 way back in the day but it was unmemorable for me and i do not recall multiplayer
I completely didn't expect the Seer when I played the Ava DLC. I was doing millions of dps and his health bar just wasn't moving. "Shit just got real..."
Auto Bear’s Tesla Rail does silly things to the armor phase when you have the Heat Exchanger. It’s possible for it to just delete the armor bar without that class mod, but it was really inconsistent, but for some reason, with that class mod, it did it every single time. Lvl72 Mayhem11. 1: Jump into iron bear, shoot the shield with twin Tesla rails (the shot augment) until it goes to armor phase (sometimes it takes multiple iron bears to get through the shield). 2: jump back into the Mech, then jump out and wait for the *CRACK* wait for A.S. to refill, and repeat phase 1. 3 repeat as many times as needed. It works with both Fire Hose & U-RAD builds (Probably more, but those are the two characters I have for it).
The amount of content in this game is mind-boggling...and I love it. I am so happy that i gave this game a fair shot because i never played Borderlands games before, and typically, i do not play FPS games. However, the third person mod for BL3 was the cherry on top.
The true raid bosses of Guardian Takedown are the random invisible reapers that have crazy melee knock back in the small platform areas, OF ALL PLACES.
Once I finally mastered the complexity of the Guardian Takedown, I will admit both Scourge and Anathema easily became my favorite raids to battle. I also feel Eista is severely under appreciated since he's the closest to a traditional Bl2 Raid that I never skip his lineup of quests to level him up lol
Thank you sooo much for your videos! My Zane now does 400 billion damage. Nothing in the game stands in my way now, except for myself. When i get touched by my own damage, its a instant death for me. Shoot the enemy. Duck from my rounds. Pray to god it doesn't come back in my face.
I'm soo glad cartels is permanent now. I remember when it first came out I couldnt play it much due to family drama but the lil bit I did play was amazing

not the biggest fan of "we increased the health and damage now it's a raidboss" way some of these goes, but that beeing said, pyro pete is the same in BL2. IG what im trying to say is raid bosses should atleast have new mechanics and/or phases, otherwise its just a story boss with bigger numbers and that kinda defeats the purpuse imo

Does the borderlands community finally appreciate BL3 as it deserves? I remember the community slamming this game to hell, even more than Wonderlands. I loved this game since day 1 and it's the 2nd best Borderlands game imo, BL1 is very close but I prefer the whacky play style of BL3 and there is much more variety in pretty much every aspect of the game. Bl2 is and always will be the best. It's almost perfect, just lacks that smooth gameplay and new mechanics the newer games have. But the content and the story is pretty much flawless I have to say.
@@Ki11ersix that's why I love BL3. In addition, it's more replayable than BL2, its progression is smoother and there are some exclusive mechanics I love. Only the main story lacks a bit.
Never understood the hate for wonderlands, first time i bought the game and all the dlcs i played it for about 40 hours beat the game in like a week. The game was extremely fun in terms of building your class and the spell system i liked. The only thing that lacked and brought the game down a ton is 1. The dlcs are lackluster asf and extremely lazy. 2. All the legendaries felt the same except for a few guns. The shotguns were all the same even some of the legendaries were the exact same thing as some of the purple weapons. If they did the dlcs like bl2 and they made the legendaries unique and cool . The game would definitely be the either 2nd or 1st best borderlands game. (btw ik this vid is a year old just felt like saying something)
Just came back after years away. I played TVHM and mayhem was brand new. Now that im back and see everything. It's AMAZING. Even getting some of the squad back on to check it out
I turned on true mode mayhem 11 not knowing what it did. Did the trash ok but the boss took all my ammo of four types of guns but killed it. After that rerolled annointment for 30 percent ammo when digi clone active lol. Thanks for the video.
Even though BL3 lacked a lot of dedicated raid bosses, the game still had a lot of respectable and memorable regular bosses. Like the main story in two only really had 4 bosses which were Wilhelm, Bloodwing, Bunker, and the Warrior. You could count Saturn but that’s technically a mini boss. BL3 on the other hand had a ton of bosses, and even the ones that were similar to regular enemies had more unique mechanics. There is the three vaults bosses, Traunt, Katagawa and Kball, Aurelia, Agonizer, and even more that I didn’t name.
my Zane build is able to melt almost all of the raid bosses. captain haunt and the guardian takedown bosses are the only ones that don't get obliterated
People talk about mechanics but 90% of the time you are bypassing the raid bosses’ mechanics in bl2. Hyperius gets killed in 10 seconds, Pete and vorac are cheesed with a trespasser, gee is gate crushed, Dexi and Vermi are hardly even spawned because of their unique mechanics, hada is killed with the same gun and shield for all 6 characters, Tera has the rock, and craw doesn’t really have mechanics. The Dragons are only boss who are really fought as intended.
Most of these raid bosses are either destroyed by a certain weapon combination or a certain vault hunter as for gee it doesn't matter what vault hunter you are if you go the traditional route it's very rough.

The point is that bl2 raid bosses actually have mechanics while bl3 one’s really don’t. Doesn’t matter if people speed kill them to efficiently farm and that “bypasses their mechanics”, that doesn’t relate to the argument at all, it’s completely unrelated in the scheme of the argument.
Personally it'd be interesting to have a raid or takedown option for Cartels or Bloody Harvest. Maybe they could drop their skins and heads more commonly...
Borderlands 2 had some of the best raid bosses in any game. I've played through the entire game at least 15 times so far. Such a phenomenal game with incredible DLC's too, i might give it a go again soon :D
Wish there was a way to turn on the 'Loot the Universe' event. Loved farming that Mind blowing how many people stopped bl3 after a few months. They missed out on an amazing game. Those are the same people that say Wonderlands is better
I felt like wonderlands was way better than 3 at first. I quit BL3 after hitting mayhem 3 before any dlc came out. After I got bored of wonderlands a couple weeks after it’s release I went back and replayed 3 with all of the DLC. Gearbox really improved the hell out of BL3. It’s far and away my favorite of the series now. I really hope Wonderlands follows a similar trajectory, though the DLC and build variety leaves me with a lot of doubt.

This mechanic is based on TPS. Eclipse has raid boss level shield and health also EOS has 3 "phases" with huge health level Gearbox took 2k Australia's idea
I’m so glad they made the events permanent, I lost all my save data including my opq system AR and it sucked not having it cuz it’s my favorite gun in the game.
Hmm I might try the all the proving grounds again if they are that much tougher on the true takedown modes. I love all the raid bosses in this game. Always love that rush of excitement when you defeat one for the first time. I just wished wonderlands had that same feeling. I’m still hoping that they improve that game so I have an incentive to go back👍
The Maliwan takedown is the pinnacle of raids imo, very simple (maybe very slightly too simple) run forward and shoot and try and kill everything. Where the guardian takedown failed in my mind is being very slightly too..idk it’s not too complicated, they fixed the problem with the Maliwan one where it’s not too simple but the things you’re expected to do are just tedious and falling hurt more then anywhere else in the game and with the parkour sections (that are now mostly jumpads) were just..annoying is the best word, here’s to hoping they find that perfect middle ground
Hey great video as always! Not to be a stickler or anything but I believe True Hag of Fervor has way more than 15.5 billion hp. From testing on M11 her armor bar alone is over 17 billion hit points and her red health bar is somewhere around 7 billion. Also since all trial bosses refill fully between phases then her total hp would be somewhere around 48 billion which is more than the Raid Traunts.
Guys I really just want to say this right now but I feel this Maurice is the best borderlands character ever made you could say anything about the other characters but Maurice a little talking animal that you would usually kill best character he's trying to go for world peace and literally tries to kill the gunman in a side quest I don't have to know his name by the way and I don't know how to spell it why because I'm a dumbass anyways Maurice is just the best he got his own special side quest in fact two that involves a raid boss now that's a rare chance for like a side character to get a raid boss mission that's why Maurice is the best.
I recently returned to BL3 and decided to play the Revenge of the Cartels, leaving me gasping at Joey's extreme amount of health. Well, guess now I know why :'D
Then people are still like ThErE aRe No RaIdBoSsEs In BL3. not to mention most of these actually have useful drops and are possible without cheesing for most people with a good build. Plus the build variety that can be used to kill them is pretty expansive.
Bl3 in my opinion has one of the best end games in terms of available content. The balancing is a bit up in the air, but the amount of things to do and items to farm for is one of the best for me. However I feel like if wonderlands creates story style dlc and didn't have so many chaos levels it would be in contention for the title of the best end game. No matter what borderlands game, the end game always has the problem of enemies deal far too much damage so any focus on defensive utility or even just shield/health boosting is not very effective in comparison to other more damage focused builds. Not to mention the limitations of gear that gets outscaled by other more viable options, though in bl3 there was quite a few weak bits of gear that got buffed up to respectable levels. Though there is still a very large amount of fun and unique guns that are near useless at end game. (also as a side note certain Meta items like the revolter shield or the seeing dead class mod for zane can allow weaker weapons to perform at a viable level, but being dlc dependent makes me feel like they are not a good solution to any balance issues)
I see what the endgame content complaint is. Lack of that final rarity like Seraph and Pearlescent items. While the sawbar, Bekah and other pearls are in the game I do see that there's no final grind/hunt trophy for going through the raids, takedowns, proving grounds, etc. If BL4 ends up having an insanely valuable final gauntlet rarity of weapons alongside the raids, etc, we could have a really good game on our hands
It's the only real reason I stopped playing BL3 after playing it for the first time. There's no final reward outside the fights themselves to capstone all the effort, and I kinda miss it tbh
Personally, I think that BL3 is inferior in almost any aspect to BL2. The only exceptions might be the gunplay and the action skill / build variety. Also, you get showered in awful legendaries and everything just gets unlocked once you finish the game. Also, the mayhem modifier are just annoying, that's why most just stay at 11
BL2 forces 3 playthroughs of the story with no cutscene skip. UVHM is an imbalanced mess that forces you to slag everything and keep a healing weapon to avoid certain and repeated death and OP levels which are just Chaos Chamber but less fun. Sure BL3 will give you some random legendary drops. But I prefer that to BL2’s system where you kill a raid boss and get green and blue items. BL2 it WAS exciting to get a drop. Until you pick it up and realize that your blue and purple mission reward items were stronger. That’s a horrible balance. BL3’s endgame is better as well. More variety. BL2 is a bunch of Raid Bosses, more than half of which everyone hates. Not because they’re hard, but because the fight sucks. BL2 slaughter maps aren’t repeatable. And that’s all that BL2 has for “endgame”. BL3 literalIy does everything better except Handsome Jack. And I don’t play video games for the story.
Right modifiers are good I always get 2nd wins off buddy systems, and the heart that heals enemies have a grenade damage boosting one on, don't even have to aim at enemies and shoot spinners that can freeze enemies with the redistributor or send skulls out with soul render + second wind off them also
For me both are good but have faults modifiers can be glitchy like buddy systems getting stuck in walls and having to re roll for ages for the right modifiers mayhem 11 you get less loot
No, you actually don’t. The stats lie. They never changed it to be different, so the Eridium, money and loot drops are the same in M11 as they are in M10
Been getting into Borderlands 3 recently. Left off when dlc 1 dropped and I beat it. Came back and have been enjoying the content I missed. The Anathema fight was the first fight I enjoyed since I came back. To be fair, it was the first raid I did that wasn't Haunt (I actually remember playing his when he released), so I hated the lead up to both bosses, but the bosses themselves made me actually see it as a balancing factor. To fight 2 fun bosses, you have to deal with a boring (and if your on solo and not knowing how to build correctly with all the changes, it is extremely tedious and challenging)
You just gotta love the sheer amount of people that can't stand when others are having fun or pointing out valid points! Everyone, if you don't like the game DON'T FUCKING PLAY IT! There's a few thousand other games out there, with a few hundred thousand people playing them, go find something else to do!
A lot of people won't understand that bl3 is such a great game compared to there previous franchise. This game right here is such a huge step up when it comes to gameplay and over all performance. And the dlcs man, so much content and so much stuff to grind for in end games.
The hardest raid boss in Borderland series with more hp than Dexiduos is the fanboyism around Borderlands 2( worse than that there is only the fanboyism around Fallout New Vegas). Joye Ultraviolet was my favourite
I ain't even gonna lie I'm a huge BL2 and New Vegas fan those are my childhood favorites and I've gotten so many memories from them both. I was hoping cyberpunk would be like these games but unfortunately it just ended up being an assassins creed, far cry, gta game in my eyes, I wanted to roleplay as a corrupt corpo, but nope you gotta follow the story we made for you but at least you can choose 4 different dialogue options that lead the same path

@@Ki11ersix The Bore testing area? Technically he does drop the Norfleet as the only other drop source being Vermy In that case I’ll make an exception! Unlike raid bosses in BL3 you can’t earn the item somewhere else way easier. All the true trial rewards are just the best DLC gear which is pretty easy to obtain from the drop sources in the dlc respectfully. Hard Boss + No Specific Drop = Not Raid boss. This is why the “Raid Bosses” in TTW are so unrewarding.
Honestly the end game of bl3 was so fun I put like 160 hours into my first character, loved how stuff like the events and some updates like the maliwan takedown being free so we didn't have to buy a bunch of dlc to get good endgame stuff, just watching this video makes me want to play bl3 again and I'm not even halfway through

Personally, I hate bullet sponge raidbosses, but SpongeBoss gave me a good chuckle. Bosses like Joey and Seer are pains in the ass, but not as unbearable as I'm used to raid-style content being, if only because they're not quite as built around dirt cheap oneshotting as older games' raids... I will admit, I've never done the Takedowns. Or finished Bounty. The game just takes up too damn much hard drive space to have survived transitioning to my new computer. But the fact that I've played a hell of a long time, and yet even save editing a bunch of items in wasn't enough to exhaust the well of content (I'm at one class level cap and still plan to go back and enjoy the rest of the game "properly"), only goes to show just how much game is in that hundred-something gigabyte brick. Borderlands 3 may have failed to match 2 in terms of story or presentation (until the stellar DLCs - man, Mysteriouslier made me LIKE Ava), but damned if it doesn't justify its sheer storage size with content density better than almost any other game out there. Giving you some real mean looks here, ARK.
I hope borderlands 4's endgame is a bit more rewarding. Bl3 has a lot to do endgame but none of it rewards you with anything good. The only reason I even fight some of these bosses is just for the fun most of the time I don't need to fight them and instead just make a new character
Granted she does drop company mans but those are also world drops so you can farm sumo with a shlooter equipped and get them without having to fight hermi at all. Would’ve been great if they made her the source for pearls
I went against hemavorus solo on M11 and refused to beat him. Not only do you HAVE to slowly get him to his Invincible state, you have to kill the 300 Varkids that spawn in while getting him there. You get VERY limited ammo pick ups and then if by the bizarre chance you get him there, you have to watch out for the Varkids AND Vermivorous. It's not even a Raid Boss, just a waste of 50 Eridium. Can't believe they don't even have dedicated drops 😭. I uses your Chill and Kill zane build too with the Grease Gun and it STILL didn't ease the pain. Awesome build but Hemovorous is just dumb
9:17: Not EXACTLY true. If you have that one ammo regen anointment, having him out can let you spray into him, providing said weapon can actually reach him.
BL3's main story is a bit crappy. However, all 4 expansions are great story wise. The end game is absolutely brutal and intense, and as much fun as it is frustrating sometimes (I can't say I'm a pro at this game, I'm more like a casual). Of all the raid bosses that were linked here, I beat Wotan a couple of times and the three valkyries (on Moze and Amara), Captain Haunt, Joey and Psychoreaver (Amara only). I tried H&V once, but to tell that didn't go well would be an understatement XD I still need to work on my gear though, don't have good anointments yet. Although most of classic bosses at the end of each story piece falls down fairly quickly, I know I can do better. An amazing game, if Bl4 is as fun as Bl3 is in the end game, it will be one hell of an experience.
Surprised to hear that some people struggled with the Seer boss, with the breath of the dying assault rifle, you can literally one shot him if you proc an explosion off one of the many random enemies in the arena. I must have killed him 20 times in about 15 minutes, his loot is all garbage

I got a Last Stand Loaded Dice today from graveward, I was testing out my different clairvoyances just for fun and well…..My Loaded dice is spoiling me all I see on my map is gold stars 😂
Finally grabbed a heat exchanger that gets me to +75% damage, with splash and skill damage. Decided to try the raids cuz when I was on fl4k I was never quite able to get through them. Moze is cheating for most of these guys, so if you're having some trouble gearing up just play moze.

petes probably the easiest raid boss to solo in blands 2 and theres nothing in bl3 thats much harder than pyro pete. they're there, they just dont feel as meaningful as they did in borderlands 2
I really don't understand what you're going for with this video. Why are we still making excuses for Gearbox 3 years after release? They released good content as a whole. We got an awesome takedown, an okay-ish 2nd and Hemovorous was fine but... that's about it when it comes to raids. The others you talked about aren't raid bosses, no amount of headcannon and high HP value will change that. Psychoreaver and Seer are non-optional DLC story bosses. How do they qualify as raid bosses? Badassaurus had a lot of health and was really hard in BL2, would you call him a raid boss? Probably not Yes, Revenge of the Cartels is extremely good, the mini bosses are cool but Joey himself is a bullet sponge with no interesting mechanics. Same thing with Haunt, and the mobbing leading up to him isn't even fun. The "tRuE tRiAls" are probably the worst offenders on this list, they completely missed the mark. The original trials are a "how fast can you beat" type of content, the mobbing flows flawlessly and then you face a boss that's just a bit harder than your average side mission mini boss, that's it. Instead of making more of them or improving them in the next installment they decided to add 5 zeros to every boss' health. Is that what you call content? The mobbing part is the same, then you're hit with a 8 billion HP brick wall that justs stands there and doesn't do anything even remotely interesting. New combat mechanics? Nope. New dedicated loot that doesn't drop ANYWHERE else? Nope. Just health. FUN. I don't think Eista would ever have been brought up in raid boss related debates if they never added the "Invincible" title in the first place, that's how much of a "boss" he is. And let's not even talk about Spongeboss, he's just everything wrong with endgame content Look, I really liked BL3 even if the story wasn't my thing. The DLCs were awesome, i'm not trying to dunk on the game but the endgame content is still severly lacking even today. I can't bring myself to play it anymore. I've beaten everything on 3 builds, that's all I had in me. It's clear Gearbox doesn't have a single clue how to do endgame properly (wink wink level 50 chaos borefest) so i'm not too hopeful about raids in BL4
The point of this video is that a large percentage of players don’t know these challenging bosses with Raid Boss value health and damage are in the game.
Was looking for a comment like this. I love BL3, favoring it over BL2 for replays. But I was confused why the video is so excited about hp numbers, especially for Trials bosses that don't have any mechanical changes to go along with their bloated health pools. I don't understand what's so hype about having to dump countless bullets into what is an otherwise unremarkable skag. xD It's good to know that there's at least a fair amount activities for endgame geared characters to do, but much of the praise laid on them here is pretty hyperbolic imo.
I think if legendary items didn't drop from basically every enemy and bosses drop like 6 to 10 legendaries per kill. So legendary weapons are kind of like a little bit above purple but not much in how often you can get them and most of them are trash. Which is what I think made Borderlands 3 not as great as the other ones
Except that doesn’t happen anymore. Watch my boss Rush video. I kill Scourge and get junk. I’d rather have MORE legendary items drop, even though some of them are bad, than have the best guns in the game be Blue and Purple mission rewards.
@@Ki11ersix On top of this, finding a specific prefix for certain legendaries or specific parts in general takes FOREVER. One time my inventory was full of Robin’s Calls because I didn’t want it with a scope on… but then I realized I can just reroll anointments because someone else told me.
Look, I know the Norfleet isn’t in BL3, but it would’ve been nice. Also, put Vermi somewhere else, because Hermi is already a pain in the ass on it’s own, constantly shooting spikes and hatchling at you like it going out of style is extremely overwhelming, & it really doesn’t help when it’s elemental immunity keeps changing base on what life bar is present.

I personally don’t find it fun. The playthrough just to get to the end game as well isn’t as fun to me while I still play borderlands 2 to this day. Everyone has differing opinions though not everyone’s going to love 3 and not everyone’s going to love 2

I just feel like everyone disregards BL3 because it isn't exactly like BL2, but for me it is an extremely close 2nd place. I actually think BL3 did a lot of things better than BL2.

@@Ki11ersix I think the balance of having Takedowns and True Takedowns works nicely. I tend to choose one or the other depending on how strong my builds are.
I personally wouldn’t be a fan considering doing any raid on destiny solo is borderline impossible. It very overwhelmingly pushes players to team up basically saying screw you to solo players. I’m sorry but you shouldn’t be punished for playing solo. Arms race does that and that’s the main reason I don’t like it all that much. If you’re in a team as and you die as long as your team stays alive they can bring you back but if you play solo and you die gearbox basically just says screw you. Now that’s just guns and at the very least it’s doable but feeling left out of content just because you don’t like playing with others is kind of a scummy thing to do. Now if they add in destiny elements but make it absolutely possible (not kinda possible there’s a difference) then I’d be on board
@@Ki11ersix is that the only option in this outside of co-op with friends? destiny being an mmo and easily finding people to do raids with was the high point of the game for me (NOT destiny two. garbage game. destiny 1 was revolutionary in 2013). im not a fan of any epic fights being solo or even solo games in general for the most part. monster hunter for instance has that mechanic where whilek fighting a monster u can open your party up for others fighting the same monster and they phase in. love that. how does the multiplayer in this work? its 8 bucks right now i figure i might as well grab it considering its typically 60. i did play bl2 way back in the day but it was unmemorable for me and i do not recall multiplayer

Amara’s phaseflare ball with the right setup will jus decimate any boss in the game often bypassing immunity phases
Auto Bear’s Tesla Rail does silly things to the armor phase when you have the Heat Exchanger.
It’s possible for it to just delete the armor bar without that class mod, but it was really inconsistent, but for some reason, with that class mod, it did it every single time.
Lvl72 Mayhem11.
1: Jump into iron bear, shoot the shield with twin Tesla rails (the shot augment) until it goes to armor phase (sometimes it takes multiple iron bears to get through the shield). 2: jump back into the Mech, then jump out and wait for the *CRACK* wait for A.S. to refill, and repeat phase 1.
3 repeat as many times as needed.
It works with both Fire Hose & U-RAD builds
(Probably more, but those are the two characters I have for it).

The amount of content in this game is mind-boggling...and I love it. I am so happy that i gave this game a fair shot because i never played Borderlands games before, and typically, i do not play FPS games.
However, the third person mod for BL3 was the cherry on top.
The true raid bosses of Guardian Takedown are the random invisible reapers that have crazy melee knock back in the small platform areas, OF ALL PLACES.
Once I finally mastered the complexity of the Guardian Takedown, I will admit both Scourge and Anathema easily became my favorite raids to battle. I also feel Eista is severely under appreciated since he's the closest to a traditional Bl2 Raid that I never skip his lineup of quests to level him up lol
My only issue is getting cucked by the big rock at the first jump pad.

Does the borderlands community finally appreciate BL3 as it deserves? I remember the community slamming this game to hell, even more than Wonderlands.
I loved this game since day 1 and it's the 2nd best Borderlands game imo, BL1 is very close but I prefer the whacky play style of BL3 and there is much more variety in pretty much every aspect of the game.
Bl2 is and always will be the best. It's almost perfect, just lacks that smooth gameplay and new mechanics the newer games have. But the content and the story is pretty much flawless I have to say.
BL2 is amazing but I put BL3 at the top since I don’t have to do 3 story playthroughs, unbalanced UVHM, OP levels and Slag

Never understood the hate for wonderlands, first time i bought the game and all the dlcs i played it for about 40 hours beat the game in like a week. The game was extremely fun in terms of building your class and the spell system i liked. The only thing that lacked and brought the game down a ton is 1. The dlcs are lackluster asf and extremely lazy. 2. All the legendaries felt the same except for a few guns. The shotguns were all the same even some of the legendaries were the exact same thing as some of the purple weapons. If they did the dlcs like bl2 and they made the legendaries unique and cool . The game would definitely be the either 2nd or 1st best borderlands game. (btw ik this vid is a year old just felt like saying something)

I turned on true mode mayhem 11 not knowing what it did. Did the trash ok but the boss took all my ammo of four types of guns but killed it. After that rerolled annointment for 30 percent ammo when digi clone active lol. Thanks for the video.

Even though BL3 lacked a lot of dedicated raid bosses, the game still had a lot of respectable and memorable regular bosses. Like the main story in two only really had 4 bosses which were Wilhelm, Bloodwing, Bunker, and the Warrior. You could count Saturn but that’s technically a mini boss. BL3 on the other hand had a ton of bosses, and even the ones that were similar to regular enemies had more unique mechanics. There is the three vaults bosses, Traunt, Katagawa and Kball, Aurelia, Agonizer, and even more that I didn’t name.

There's about 19 story bosses altogether, not to mention all the ones added by free add ons/DLC content.
Difference is I can't remember a single boss aside from graveward and the twins. Lots of bosses but they're nowhere near as memorable
my Zane build is able to melt almost all of the raid bosses. captain haunt and the guardian takedown bosses are the only ones that don't get obliterated
People talk about mechanics but 90% of the time you are bypassing the raid bosses’ mechanics in bl2. Hyperius gets killed in 10 seconds, Pete and vorac are cheesed with a trespasser, gee is gate crushed, Dexi and Vermi are hardly even spawned because of their unique mechanics, hada is killed with the same gun and shield for all 6 characters, Tera has the rock, and craw doesn’t really have mechanics. The Dragons are only boss who are really fought as intended.

Most of these raid bosses are either destroyed by a certain weapon combination or a certain vault hunter as for gee it doesn't matter what vault hunter you are if you go the traditional route it's very rough.

The point is that bl2 raid bosses actually have mechanics while bl3 one’s really don’t. Doesn’t matter if people speed kill them to efficiently farm and that “bypasses their mechanics”, that doesn’t relate to the argument at all, it’s completely unrelated in the scheme of the argument.

Personally it'd be interesting to have a raid or takedown option for Cartels or Bloody Harvest. Maybe they could drop their skins and heads more commonly...
Cartel already feels like a Takedown. Bloody Harvest is much lighter on enemies but still fast and fun especially since it’s free
Borderlands 2 had some of the best raid bosses in any game. I've played through the entire game at least 15 times so far. Such a phenomenal game with incredible DLC's too, i might give it a go again soon :D

I felt like wonderlands was way better than 3 at first. I quit BL3 after hitting mayhem 3 before any dlc came out.
After I got bored of wonderlands a couple weeks after it’s release I went back and replayed 3 with all of the DLC. Gearbox really improved the hell out of BL3. It’s far and away my favorite of the series now. I really hope Wonderlands follows a similar trajectory, though the DLC and build variety leaves me with a lot of doubt.

Hmm I might try the all the proving grounds again if they are that much tougher on the true takedown modes. I love all the raid bosses in this game. Always love that rush of excitement when you defeat one for the first time. I just wished wonderlands had that same feeling. I’m still hoping that they improve that game so I have an incentive to go back👍
The Maliwan takedown is the pinnacle of raids imo, very simple (maybe very slightly too simple) run forward and shoot and try and kill everything. Where the guardian takedown failed in my mind is being very slightly too..idk it’s not too complicated, they fixed the problem with the Maliwan one where it’s not too simple but the things you’re expected to do are just tedious and falling hurt more then anywhere else in the game and with the parkour sections (that are now mostly jumpads) were just..annoying is the best word, here’s to hoping they find that perfect middle ground

Hey great video as always! Not to be a stickler or anything but I believe True Hag of Fervor has way more than 15.5 billion hp. From testing on M11 her armor bar alone is over 17 billion hit points and her red health bar is somewhere around 7 billion. Also since all trial bosses refill fully between phases then her total hp would be somewhere around 48 billion which is more than the Raid Traunts.
What are you basing this on? I actually looked at the game code during the fight and Lonemasterino did data mining too

Guys I really just want to say this right now but I feel this Maurice is the best borderlands character ever made you could say anything about the other characters but Maurice a little talking animal that you would usually kill best character he's trying to go for world peace and literally tries to kill the gunman in a side quest I don't have to know his name by the way and I don't know how to spell it why because I'm a dumbass anyways Maurice is just the best he got his own special side quest in fact two that involves a raid boss now that's a rare chance for like a side character to get a raid boss mission that's why Maurice is the best.

Bl3 in my opinion has one of the best end games in terms of available content. The balancing is a bit up in the air, but the amount of things to do and items to farm for is one of the best for me. However I feel like if wonderlands creates story style dlc and didn't have so many chaos levels it would be in contention for the title of the best end game. No matter what borderlands game, the end game always has the problem of enemies deal far too much damage so any focus on defensive utility or even just shield/health boosting is not very effective in comparison to other more damage focused builds. Not to mention the limitations of gear that gets outscaled by other more viable options, though in bl3 there was quite a few weak bits of gear that got buffed up to respectable levels. Though there is still a very large amount of fun and unique guns that are near useless at end game. (also as a side note certain Meta items like the revolter shield or the seeing dead class mod for zane can allow weaker weapons to perform at a viable level, but being dlc dependent makes me feel like they are not a good solution to any balance issues)
I see what the endgame content complaint is. Lack of that final rarity like Seraph and Pearlescent items. While the sawbar, Bekah and other pearls are in the game I do see that there's no final grind/hunt trophy for going through the raids, takedowns, proving grounds, etc.
If BL4 ends up having an insanely valuable final gauntlet rarity of weapons alongside the raids, etc, we could have a really good game on our hands
It's the only real reason I stopped playing BL3 after playing it for the first time. There's no final reward outside the fights themselves to capstone all the effort, and I kinda miss it tbh

Personally, I think that BL3 is inferior in almost any aspect to BL2. The only exceptions might be the gunplay and the action skill / build variety.
Also, you get showered in awful legendaries and everything just gets unlocked once you finish the game. Also, the mayhem modifier are just annoying, that's why most just stay at 11
BL2 forces 3 playthroughs of the story with no cutscene skip. UVHM is an imbalanced mess that forces you to slag everything and keep a healing weapon to avoid certain and repeated death and OP levels which are just Chaos Chamber but less fun.
Sure BL3 will give you some random legendary drops. But I prefer that to BL2’s system where you kill a raid boss and get green and blue items. BL2 it WAS exciting to get a drop. Until you pick it up and realize that your blue and purple mission reward items were stronger. That’s a horrible balance.
BL3’s endgame is better as well. More variety. BL2 is a bunch of Raid Bosses, more than half of which everyone hates. Not because they’re hard, but because the fight sucks. BL2 slaughter maps aren’t repeatable. And that’s all that BL2 has for “endgame”.
BL3 literalIy does everything better except Handsome Jack. And I don’t play video games for the story.
Right modifiers are good I always get 2nd wins off buddy systems, and the heart that heals enemies have a grenade damage boosting one on, don't even have to aim at enemies and shoot spinners that can freeze enemies with the redistributor or send skulls out with soul render + second wind off them also

For me both are good but have faults modifiers can be glitchy like buddy systems getting stuck in walls and having to re roll for ages for the right modifiers mayhem 11 you get less loot
No, you actually don’t. The stats lie. They never changed it to be different, so the Eridium, money and loot drops are the same in M11 as they are in M10
Been getting into Borderlands 3 recently. Left off when dlc 1 dropped and I beat it. Came back and have been enjoying the content I missed. The Anathema fight was the first fight I enjoyed since I came back. To be fair, it was the first raid I did that wasn't Haunt (I actually remember playing his when he released), so I hated the lead up to both bosses, but the bosses themselves made me actually see it as a balancing factor. To fight 2 fun bosses, you have to deal with a boring (and if your on solo and not knowing how to build correctly with all the changes, it is extremely tedious and challenging)

A lot of people won't understand that bl3 is such a great game compared to there previous franchise. This game right here is such a huge step up when it comes to gameplay and over all performance. And the dlcs man, so much content and so much stuff to grind for in end games.

I was hoping cyberpunk would be like these games but unfortunately it just ended up being an assassins creed, far cry, gta game in my eyes, I wanted to roleplay as a corrupt corpo, but nope you gotta follow the story we made for you but at least you can choose 4 different dialogue options that lead the same path

In that case I’ll make an exception! Unlike raid bosses in BL3 you can’t earn the item somewhere else way easier. All the true trial rewards are just the best DLC gear which is pretty easy to obtain from the drop sources in the dlc respectfully.
Hard Boss + No Specific Drop = Not Raid boss. This is why the “Raid Bosses” in TTW are so unrewarding.

Honestly the end game of bl3 was so fun I put like 160 hours into my first character, loved how stuff like the events and some updates like the maliwan takedown being free so we didn't have to buy a bunch of dlc to get good endgame stuff, just watching this video makes me want to play bl3 again and I'm not even halfway through
Just played ultra violet for the first time since he was bugged and completely forgot he’s just a sponge but I had the butcher so technically unlimited ammo. 😂

Personally, I hate bullet sponge raidbosses, but SpongeBoss gave me a good chuckle. Bosses like Joey and Seer are pains in the ass, but not as unbearable as I'm used to raid-style content being, if only because they're not quite as built around dirt cheap oneshotting as older games' raids...
I will admit, I've never done the Takedowns. Or finished Bounty. The game just takes up too damn much hard drive space to have survived transitioning to my new computer. But the fact that I've played a hell of a long time, and yet even save editing a bunch of items in wasn't enough to exhaust the well of content (I'm at one class level cap and still plan to go back and enjoy the rest of the game "properly"), only goes to show just how much game is in that hundred-something gigabyte brick.
Borderlands 3 may have failed to match 2 in terms of story or presentation (until the stellar DLCs - man, Mysteriouslier made me LIKE Ava), but damned if it doesn't justify its sheer storage size with content density better than almost any other game out there. Giving you some real mean looks here, ARK.
I hope borderlands 4's endgame is a bit more rewarding. Bl3 has a lot to do endgame but none of it rewards you with anything good. The only reason I even fight some of these bosses is just for the fun most of the time I don't need to fight them and instead just make a new character
I still like The Invincible Empyrean Sentinel from Pre-Sequel to be the best fight.

Best BL3 experience is probably besting hermy on lvl 10 solo.
No idea why Vermi has no loot. But the fight is always a challenge as long as you have no op one shot build or whatever.
Granted she does drop company mans but those are also world drops so you can farm sumo with a shlooter equipped and get them without having to fight hermi at all. Would’ve been great if they made her the source for pearls

I went against hemavorus solo on M11 and refused to beat him. Not only do you HAVE to slowly get him to his Invincible state, you have to kill the 300 Varkids that spawn in while getting him there. You get VERY limited ammo pick ups and then if by the bizarre chance you get him there, you have to watch out for the Varkids AND Vermivorous. It's not even a Raid Boss, just a waste of 50 Eridium. Can't believe they don't even have dedicated drops 😭. I uses your Chill and Kill zane build too with the Grease Gun and it STILL didn't ease the pain. Awesome build but Hemovorous is just dumb

BL3's main story is a bit crappy. However, all 4 expansions are great story wise. The end game is absolutely brutal and intense, and as much fun as it is frustrating sometimes (I can't say I'm a pro at this game, I'm more like a casual). Of all the raid bosses that were linked here, I beat Wotan a couple of times and the three valkyries (on Moze and Amara), Captain Haunt, Joey and Psychoreaver (Amara only). I tried H&V once, but to tell that didn't go well would be an understatement XD I still need to work on my gear though, don't have good anointments yet. Although most of classic bosses at the end of each story piece falls down fairly quickly, I know I can do better. An amazing game, if Bl4 is as fun as Bl3 is in the end game, it will be one hell of an experience.
Man, you really hit a nerve there with some people. They really dont like it when you say that BL3 has a good amount of endgame content.
Surprised to hear that some people struggled with the Seer boss, with the breath of the dying assault rifle, you can literally one shot him if you proc an explosion off one of the many random enemies in the arena. I must have killed him 20 times in about 15 minutes, his loot is all garbage

I got a Last Stand Loaded Dice today from graveward, I was testing out my different clairvoyances just for fun and well…..My Loaded dice is spoiling me all I see on my map is gold stars 😂
Finally grabbed a heat exchanger that gets me to +75% damage, with splash and skill damage. Decided to try the raids cuz when I was on fl4k I was never quite able to get through them. Moze is cheating for most of these guys, so if you're having some trouble gearing up just play moze.

petes probably the easiest raid boss to solo in blands 2 and theres nothing in bl3 thats much harder than pyro pete. they're there, they just dont feel as meaningful as they did in borderlands 2
The only ones that felt meaningful in 2 were Hyperius and Dexiduous. Maybe the Dragons but that fight sucked because they could become slag immune
I really don't understand what you're going for with this video. Why are we still making excuses for Gearbox 3 years after release? They released good content as a whole. We got an awesome takedown, an okay-ish 2nd and Hemovorous was fine but... that's about it when it comes to raids. The others you talked about aren't raid bosses, no amount of headcannon and high HP value will change that.
Psychoreaver and Seer are non-optional DLC story bosses. How do they qualify as raid bosses? Badassaurus had a lot of health and was really hard in BL2, would you call him a raid boss? Probably not
Yes, Revenge of the Cartels is extremely good, the mini bosses are cool but Joey himself is a bullet sponge with no interesting mechanics. Same thing with Haunt, and the mobbing leading up to him isn't even fun.
The "tRuE tRiAls" are probably the worst offenders on this list, they completely missed the mark. The original trials are a "how fast can you beat" type of content, the mobbing flows flawlessly and then you face a boss that's just a bit harder than your average side mission mini boss, that's it. Instead of making more of them or improving them in the next installment they decided to add 5 zeros to every boss' health. Is that what you call content? The mobbing part is the same, then you're hit with a 8 billion HP brick wall that justs stands there and doesn't do anything even remotely interesting. New combat mechanics? Nope. New dedicated loot that doesn't drop ANYWHERE else? Nope. Just health. FUN.
I don't think Eista would ever have been brought up in raid boss related debates if they never added the "Invincible" title in the first place, that's how much of a "boss" he is. And let's not even talk about Spongeboss, he's just everything wrong with endgame content
Look, I really liked BL3 even if the story wasn't my thing. The DLCs were awesome, i'm not trying to dunk on the game but the endgame content is still severly lacking even today. I can't bring myself to play it anymore. I've beaten everything on 3 builds, that's all I had in me. It's clear Gearbox doesn't have a single clue how to do endgame properly (wink wink level 50 chaos borefest) so i'm not too hopeful about raids in BL4
The point of this video is that a large percentage of players don’t know these challenging bosses with Raid Boss value health and damage are in the game.
Was looking for a comment like this. I love BL3, favoring it over BL2 for replays. But I was confused why the video is so excited about hp numbers, especially for Trials bosses that don't have any mechanical changes to go along with their bloated health pools. I don't understand what's so hype about having to dump countless bullets into what is an otherwise unremarkable skag. xD It's good to know that there's at least a fair amount activities for endgame geared characters to do, but much of the praise laid on them here is pretty hyperbolic imo.

I think if legendary items didn't drop from basically every enemy and bosses drop like 6 to 10 legendaries per kill. So legendary weapons are kind of like a little bit above purple but not much in how often you can get them and most of them are trash. Which is what I think made Borderlands 3 not as great as the other ones
Except that doesn’t happen anymore. Watch my boss Rush video. I kill Scourge and get junk. I’d rather have MORE legendary items drop, even though some of them are bad, than have the best guns in the game be Blue and Purple mission rewards.
@@Ki11ersix On top of this, finding a specific prefix for certain legendaries or specific parts in general takes FOREVER. One time my inventory was full of Robin’s Calls because I didn’t want it with a scope on… but then I realized I can just reroll anointments because someone else told me.

Look, I know the Norfleet isn’t in BL3, but it would’ve been nice.
Also, put Vermi somewhere else, because Hermi is already a pain in the ass on it’s own, constantly shooting spikes and hatchling at you like it going out of style is extremely overwhelming, & it really doesn’t help when it’s elemental immunity keeps changing base on what life bar is present.
