- The 2018 Nissan Altima SR may be getting a bit long in the tooth, but it still provides good efficiency, functionality and a touch of sportiness. It's 2.5 4 Cylinder is refined and provides enough power for most people, while there is always the 3.5 V6 available with the SL Altima. Overall, this family sedan does exactly what you would expect and provides good interior room and cargo space. The 2019 Nissan Altima is right around the corner but this 2018 Altima is worth a look. Let me know what you think of this 2018 Nissan Altima SR Test Drive and leave your thoughts below! Check out my Maxima video if you haven't yet!

Thank you for detailed review, you are doing a great job Nolan. Keep it up!
Hikmat Ullah thanks so much, always appreciated! I definitely need to improve in ways, and will. It’s hard for me to be enthusiastic talking to a camera, like that one guy said haha, but I’ll get better with it. Going to make my Mazda3 video my best one yet coming out next week! Appreciate your support so much
No worries bud, nobody is perfect. Wish you all the best for your Mazda3 and all other videos
Love the review and subscribed. I actually wanted to get the 2019, but they just had massive rebates on the 2018's. I had to pull the trigger. Also, I hated the very existence of CVT's before I drove the SR. Sure, a standard transmission would have been more fun, but it's got me sold. Hell, I bought the car, didn't I?
Thanks very much! I know what you mean with the rebates! I did the same thing when I was buying my last car..new generation coming out but sold myself in the discounts lol. Happy to hear that and thanks for sharing this with me. Thanks again! 👍
It's been 5-6 years and this car is still on my list for me to buy it as my daily to go places.
I saw a used one for 9k might cop 👮
I want to save for one of these pretty soon, I like this video you've got my sub and like.
Thank you very much!
Altima looks great exterior wise, but interior wise is where it lacks heavily. Glad the 2019s have new tech in the interior. Apple CarPlay is a must for me.
You’re right about that! I’m glad to see improved 2019 as well...and Im with you on the Apple CarPlay. Thanks for watching!
I just bought a 2018 Altima SR Midnight Edition. It does include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It has leather seats, navigation, and a ton of other features. All of that said, It's still a great car, but I can't wait to see the 2019 Altima.
Good choice with the SR midnight, that’s the one I would have liked to review! I’m with you on the 2019 and excited to get behind the wheel. Thanks for watching, enjoy your Altima!
Edgar C apple car play sucks ass
i disagree interior looks great.
I have Nissan Altima midnight edition and every single way of the car have sport lines anyway it’s pretty awesome also your video is good👊🏻
Very nice! Thank you!
I just bought my 2018 SR in Metallic Grey with tinted windows. With the black/silver wheels, darkened headlights and tail lights, and the chrome trim it makes for a very attractive package. It looks less run of the mill, and more sporty. I love this vehicle. It has enough get when you need it, it's comfortable, and amazing on fuel economy without the hassle of a hybrid.I get that the infotainment system is lacking, but it really is a simple upgrade. You can also get aftermarket head units that are superior to the factory ones found in the special edition. Many that retain the steering wheel functions.
Well said! Happy to hear that you’re enjoying yours and thanks for sharing that! 👍
Great job Nolan. you re getting there. Somehow your reviews have something the others are missing and its inviting. Cant say for sure what it is, but you got it! And good for you to realize where you need to improve. Im sure you will do fine. and thank you!
I really appreciate that! Thanks for taking the time to say that and thanks for watching. It’s been fun and almost a year since my first video 👍
😊Will this be better for a new driver or a Honda people say Nissan is more smoothly then a Honda @@PrimeAutotainment
Good review & great Nissan.
Nice review,
You have a new subscriber! 👍
Thank you Javier!
Dope car man I like it !!
Wow, that Nissan Altima 2.5 SR sounds sporty.
I have a 2018 Nissan Altima Sr in deep blue pearl. I have custom diamond stitching leather seats that are heated. These were factory installed. So it feels special to me. I changed majority of my lights to LEDs. I even changed my drl to ice blue leds. It has enough power to get the job done. Overall, I love my car. I have no complaints except the infotainment system and the car should have blind spot warning standard. Infotainment should be touch screen with an xm button. That's all.
Great to hear, thanks for sharing and I hope you continue to enjoy your Altima! 👍
I love mine too
Emmanuel Pecku I love mine too
I got mines today is amazing!
Bet you wish you waited a year 🤷🏽♂️😭
Como te va con tu altima.
I want this car.......Nissan altima is 1 of. My favorite cars
Good video, Nice car...just subscribed
Thanks, Ashley! I appreciate that!
Nice review! Well done. This car looks sharp from the exterior design but as many have commented, the interior and technology is a bit behind its peers. With that said, you can probably get one for a great price this fall with all the incentives esp with the 2019s on deck.
I have a 2011 Altima 2.5s as my daily driver and its a terrific car. This model is generation 4.5 and has been the most reliable and best quality in the history of Altima. Its basically a no frills mid size sedan that takes care of you and very low maintenance. I have 126K on it and all I've done are oil changes, 2 sets of new tires and a new battery. It's in pristine shape. The 2018 has better technology but is really of the same product. If you can buy an SR for $21K, it's probably a decent buy.
I plan to keep mine for a while - may just run it into the ground! Lol
I bought a gently used BMW 328i Sport line last year and that's my fun weekend ride :) otherwise the Altima takes care of me.
Thanks for all the info! Happy to hear your 2011 is doing well for you! Nice choice for the weekend car too...thanks for watching and sharing with us 👍
Do you still have the Altima?
@@texan903 I traded up for a 2020 SR a couple years ago. My longtime dealer made me a good offer. This new generation is the best Altima yet - the CVT is more refined. Better car in every way, except that I miss having a CD player! Lol 😂. If you're considering it, the sporty SR model is a must with the sports tuned suspension, 19 inch rims and interior sport aesthetics. It's a head turner man. Add a PS style spoiler and tint the windows - it will look dope. They have a midnight edition SR - probably the best choice to go with. Lastly the fuel economy is spectacular - getting mid 40s highway consistently in dry weather!
I have the 2018 Nissan Altima SL with all the options and features except for the sunroof. Watching this video I realize that those straps in the back are supposed to bring the seat down. Thank you for that
Es CVT? Que opinas del carro lo Recomendarias?
I have this very same model and color and really like my car! When using the paddle shifters, it's pretty quick!
That’s awesome, glad to hear it!
rAdiant Jet yeah I feel like the paddle shifters make a big difference in my sr as well
Omg I can’t wait till I drive just one more year YAS!!!
Actually I meant a few months YASSSS!!!!!!!
Sarah Gibbs that’s exciting 😁
@@sarahgibbs1643 I just got mine today lol all black gonna tint the windows too, and get a new and bigger screen
Well designed in and out. It’s attractive and reliable.
Nice review.. still like the 3.5sr 2012
Thank you! Yes the 3.5 is my favorite for sure, wish it was available with every trim nowadays.
Seeing how this regular one looks, I’m happy to have the midnight sr edition.
Junior Villalba same lmao
U got the 7” in there too
I have a sr but I'm a dipper so dipped the wheels and trim and the car .I have a video on my page. I dipped it anthias colorshift
Good job! I have a question, I have altima sr 2018, there is a sound while I am driving, when I drive greater than 70 or 80 the sound is enterupted or stopped. Do you know what is the reason of being the sound? Plz help me. Thanks
It looks pretty
I got one about a month ago. A 16 SR with 47k 16,450 bucks. The car was unsold for almost 2 months according to carfax. It has no safety features like blind spot, forward collision, rear cross traffic alerts. I guess thats why it sat so long. Everyone wants these features now.
My son has this car premium package and the one thing I didn’t ask was about the remote to start and heat or air. He remote started at like 5am to turn on heat but got in the car and it was blowing outside air which was freezing. I don’t understand why build remote start if driver can’t warm or cool the car?
My 2008 Infiniti G35 Sport is life itself. The Sport seats hug you tight, they're the most comfortable, supportive car seats I've ever sat in. Heated 14-way power adjustable memory seats are among the best. A six speed manual transmission makes it a blast to drive. The handling gets an A-plus.
Saturday, I was looking at the new Nissan offerings with no immediate plans to purchase. Somehow I allowed the salesperson into my pockets as I drove off the lot with a 2018 Altima SR. The sparkling blue paint is gorgeous. Handling is decent, the seats supportive and comfortable, fuel economy is great. I like the center arm rest, sleek styling and I feel safe with its size. Paddle shifters are almost pointless as the experience isn't anything like a manual transmission.
All in all, the Altima is a much newer car than my Infiniti and while there are clear advantages over the G35, the Altima can't come close to matching the performance and driving experience of the Infiniti. I need a front wheel drive for the Central Arkansas winters and am afraid it'll be too harsh on the Infiniti. Recommended premium fuel for the G35 is a downside, but the Nissan comes with a lifetime power train warranty, something that's more advantageous than the Infiniti. Maybe it's a good thing I allowed the dealer to practically select a car for me. I like the Altima, maybe I will grow to love it once I no longer have a car note but I absolutely LOVE the G35 and can't really ever see myself parting with it unless I am offered the right amount of money.
3.5sr is more for u then
@@jasonwhite7316 Right, the acceleration in the 3.5 liter engine is perfect for what it is. Having that with a CVT would be efficient. That transmission is noisy on the 2.5.
texan903 yea i have one sitting outside same color as the the video 😎⚪️
@@jasonwhite7316 You're lucky, I'm pretty envious.
Kaylon Centers haha that 270 on tap i aint been late to nothing yet 🤣
My mom has a blue altim a and I love it so much you barley push the brake or gas and you go or stop fast love it and I love the power steering wheel and push to start
Very cool! Thanks for sharing that and for watching!
I love my Altima baby😉sleek and oh so stylish and extremely fast
Just copped one today 🔥🔥
Have it good on gas horrible transmission not fast at all crusing car
Have you had any transmission issues?
@@Drodogg561 i have a 2017 nissan altima sr i am at 55,000 miles so far mo transmission issues
@@Drodogg561 the cvt transmission shifts like a rubberband u have to get use to it
Love my 2016 ❤️
Glad to hear it 😁
I thought yours was a 1983?
Is it good for a new driver? Or the Honda accord?
I just bought the SRS model… 2018 pearl white .. I love it ! What does the SRS MEAN ? Lol
Is these cars are great in engine and trany???
I have leather with heated seats.. Wood grain trim.. 18in rims.. All factory..
The Altima is still a strong offering from Nissan despite the tough competition in this segment. It may lack the AWD of Legacy, the sportiness of Accord, the reliability of a Camry, the roominess of Fusion and the elegance of a Passat but its a good car overall. Once you own an Altima, you will not have complains about it, its a simple yet practical midsize workhorse. One of the top three best selling family sedan. Great review Nolan!!!
You always have such great input on every video. I couldn’t agree more with all of that. Thanks again for watching!!!
A nice thing about the 2019 model is that it will offer AWD but only with base engine I believe, not the 2.0 VC-T.
Dang that’s a bummer. I feel that the more powerful engine should absolutely have AWD instead of or in addition to FWD...now it’s time for more manufacturers to offer AWD in their sedans. Thanks for the input
Yes you are right VQ it will have an AWD with the base engine
This is what Nissan does; taking a different approach, even if the 2T is more powerful of an engine
i don't have a nickel in the bank but here I am looking at cars I'd like to buy. lol
These are good riding cars also great on gas for its size. I upgraded my sound system other than that great car..
Good idea on the sound system! For sure, good overall car. Thanks for sharing that!
This car is one of the best in the class. Cabin is quite, 2.5 L engine has enough power, car is great on gas, seats are very comfortable, parts are very cheap.
On a downside infotainment and interior is bit dated but overall its value for money.
Very practical car
You’re right it’s an all around good package. I’m excited to see the changes made to the redesigned 2019...hope it’s all good!
Quiet*
Worth buying a 2018 with 98k for 10500? Stuck between this or a murano rogue or accord or camry xle. Just afraid about the cvt
Nolan, someone, PLEASE explain why you think the paddles are useless on a CVT! I find them as productive for sport driving as on any other transmission. It makes the car so much more fun! Plain and simple: you get to control the RPM's and ratios for power shifting (up and down) as opposed to the economical programming of the auto mode.
I understand what you’re saying! Paddle shifters are nice in any car, or even the option to manually change gears. I personally really am glad to have them going down a steep grade so you can engine break, in addition to having fun with them. The only thing s our CVT paddles is that they usually try to mimic a 6 speed, but sometimes don’t respond the right way, that’s all though. Either way, I agree with you that they are nice to have!
Very good car.
Is that a 20% tint?
I was disappointed on our special edition. No sunroof, no led’s. But great on mileage
I have this exact car. I like it better than the SV and the platinum etc. I don’t care about a 7 in screen. This model looks a whole lot better. the wheels. The shape of the car. The spoiler. Yeah I’m good on the “sv” and the midnight and the others
Blind spot monitors?
Does it have apply car play
They jumped lightyears on that redesign as far as the interior is concerned. The 2018 interior looks like a relic wrapped in 21st century materials
Does the 2018 Nissan Altima SR come equipped for Sirius radio? I see the emblem in the radio screen, but can't seem to confirm whether it has it or not....
I looked back and it says it’s “optional” on SR, standard on SR special edition and midnight, then standard on every trim up from there. Only the S trim doesn’t have it. 👍
So basically it’s gotta be the special edition or midnight package on SR the way it looks
If I get a SR midnight edition will I get all these features like apple CarPlay plus the led drl’s?
I know for sure you get Apple CarPlay with the 7” screen, not positive on the LED DRL. It doesn’t show that the “signature lighting” is in it but pretty sure you get that DRL check mark
Prime Autotainment awesome I’ll go ahead and go the dealer this week then narrowed down
Sweet deal! Be sure to bargain hard especially because the redesigned 2019 Altimas will be coming in soon...they will be wanting to get rid of the 2018s
The blind spot is in the interior of the car
While the 2018 Altima is overall a great car, however, the interior of my 2017 Sentra SV is much nicer in my opinion. These zero-gravity seats in the Altima are top-notch, but my steering wheel and instrument panel have a more premium look/feel. Everybody's opinion is different, but I didn't see the value in getting an Altima vs. a Sentra (besides the engine). On a side-note, the 2019 Altima looks pretty awesome. I will probably get that Altima once they do a mid-cycle refresh and work out all the bugs.
Prime Autoainment, what do you think of the 2019 Altima?
Glad to hear from ya, I’m hoping to get behind the wheel of a Sentra soon too. I like the 2019 Altima and really love how AWD will be offered. Can’t wait for them to be released to check out. Thanks for sharing that and for watching!
I definitely agree about the AWD. I live in an area where AWD is very helpful at times, but not necessary. The competition is so fierce between the Camry, Accord, and Altima- AWD Altima should make things interesting. They are also coming out with a new Sentra either 2019 or 2020. I hope they give it more power....
No doubt...I’m really surprised Accord it Camry don’t offer that, Altima might steal from people away from them.
Agreed with the Sentra...I would assume they do!
Just bought one 2018 white, this can I say, I’m really surprised
Awesome, hope you enjoy it!
Hola, como te va con tu altima lo recomiendas?
How does this compare with the 2017 Camry se?
They drive very similarly...to me the Camry feels a little more dated but I prefer the engine/transmission combo better in the Camry
thats crazy do you live in rockwall? I live down the street from this dealer lol.
Sure do! That’s sweet lol, I live on the north side of town. Nice to hear from a fellow Rockwallian!
I just bought this car yesterday btw after watching this video lol.
That’s awesome! Hope you enjoy it! Where did ya get it?
Haha thanks man, hope they took good care of you!
Prime Autotainment eh I went to give them a piece of my mind today. Salesman was awesome tho.
I drive the 2016 Altima SE and I don't see too much of a difference in features. But for the cost and quality, I can say that I am very happy with Nissan. Now I am curious about the 2019.
Glad to hear that you’re happy with yours! I’m also curious and excited to see the 2019s
*8:52** iPhone plus. Lol I need one*
I own this exact car. And can't wait to get rid of it. I have exhausted my roadside assistance, the push button is a no-start randomly where I need to call roadside assistance for a jump.. there is no way to turn off the fog lights when the car is on, or set to ACC. Or when you wanna charge your phone or listen to the radio without havinging the engine running. This causes rapid battery drain. Pairing my cellphone to Bluetooth is hit or miss. You have to turn the car on off/on 2 times to get the stero to link.. What a pain. Dealer can't find nothing wrong .
Not dog lights those are your Daytime running lights. When it doesn’t seem to start out your key fob by the push to start button and press it with the fob. As far as charging your phone without accessory mode just charge your phone at home.
2 questions can you use android on the radio and would this be a great car for a 16 year old's first car
Yes you can, and I think it would be an awesome first car. Easy to drive, enough power, comfortable, space for passengers 👍
Prime Autotainment thanks
Nice model of the Altima, but it does not have SiriusXM, which would be a deal breaker for me.
Yeah that’s a bummer. Gotta go SV or higher trim
Do u like the leg room more in 2018 or the 19i think the 18has more room then the 19
You’re right the 2018 has more room for front and backseat passengers. A combined 2 inches I believe.
The 2019 Altima seems smaller than the 2018 Altima rented the 19 for 2weeks both are unique in there own way but i personally prefer the 2016-2018 3.5SR v6
How is audio system like?
Pretty damn good for a stock stereo
Luxury altima
Renting an Altima from Alamo in Orlando next week, anyone know whether it’s this model or older one?
I rented from Alamo a few weeks back and got a ‘17 model. So you would probably get that or ‘18! But the ‘17 isn’t really any different anyways
Prime Autotainment ok cool thanks!
I have the SR model but it’s the midnight edition. I figured this model shown would have remote start ?
Nope not standard. SR midnight gets a decent amount more than this SR, even the SR special edition doesn’t have it standard. Good choice going with the Midnight 👍
The 2018 Altima SR Midnight Edition and the SR Special Edition both come standard with remote engine start. I work for a Nissan dealership. The standard SR model does not. I just went out to our lot and found all three models and read the addendums, before I typed this.
Thanks Tri P Zuki! I went back to Look and misread my information. I saw “remote engine start system with intelligent climate control” and SR special edition isn’t listed, but remote start is! My bad, thanks for the correction!
Tri P Zuki what features does the sr special edition have and what would the price be on it ....
Aquarius 77 , the SE package includes:
Nissan Connect with Navigation featuring ACP and AA.
7” Touch Screen Color Display
SiriusXM Satellite Radio
Prima-Tex Appointed Seats
Heated front seats
Remote Engine Start
Gun Metallic Wheels
Special Edition Badge.
The price on the particular one I got this info from is $27,220.00
What kind gas Nissan Altima use....
Soeurth Mouv regular 87
Did they fix the transmission problems ?
Not sure...haven’t heard anything
kingcurt 1997 yes biggest piece of garbage is the cvt most Nissan owners don’t take care of there cars and Nissan just gave up on there loyalist .
Just took mine for this reason
Is this essentially Nissan's version of the Honda Accord Sport or vise versa?
Yep basically!
@@PrimeAutotainment They each look sleek, though the Altima SR looks better than the Accord Sport. However, Accord Sport offers a manual transmission and has more horsepower than Altima SR. Altima SR, on the other hand, returns better fuel economy. I have the SR, it's a beautiful, efficient car, is comfortable, spacious and is stylish, I just hope the CVT will hold up, which seems to be a common complaint from owners.
I drive a 2016 SR and it's a nice commuter. The seats really are top notch. Good on gas and very roomy, even at 6'3"
The truth:
Do not expect instant acceleration, it takes a few seconds for it to go and it has the takeoff performance of a geo metro from a stop. At speed it is fine but get used to its personality. Paddle 'shifters' are a cool but useless gimmick on the CVT, I'd rather it have a smooth 'peak torque' mode (like the engineers know it should have) than paddles or simulated shift points.
Glad to hear from ya. I’m with you about the paddle shifters...let the CVT do the work and keep you where you can get good torque and power. Thanks for sharing that , and watching!
motoman22atgmail also have the 2016 SR. Fantastic car with enough power for what I use it for. I've driven a CRV with a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder, and after driving that car I am completely thankful that I have a more powerful 2.5, you can really tell in terms of acceleration. I've also driven a 6 cylinder Impala and it just seems unnecessary and bad for gas mileage.
motoman22atgmail i thought i was the only one who noticed that. True. And very well said. It’s kind of a beast on the highway, though.
The fact that Nissan used the same interior layout of the Altima since like what? 2003?
You've clearly not been inside either year of the Altima if that's what you think.
There is a nissan leaf
The midnight edition is better with the blacked out grill
I agree! Wish I could have shown one of those instead
Yes I’m debating to buy the 2018 Nissan Altima sr midnight edition or the Sentra nismo or sr turbo I’m in a pickle lol I like both but I live in Chicago so the Sentra is easier to fit in parking spots 🤔
Ahh yeah I hear ya with the smaller easier to park Sentra lol. I haven’t driven one of those so can’t speak on it, but good luck with your decision!
Yes i have it with rims to match
It’s off-roads and drifts good too
Why does this look like exact 2016
They didn’t change body style until 2019 model
Man i have a 2013 altima and i want an 18 😭
You’ll be able to get one on a discount when the 2019 Altima comes out 😉
Just got one of these, upgraded from an 06 Altima
Aren't the led daytime running lights are on the Sr sl standard?
Good question, they come on the SR midnight, but not this base SR. Here’s a brochure: cdn.dealereprocess.net/cdn/brochures/nissan/2018-altima.pdf
I think they should come on all because it’s basically built in...just doesn’t work!
The 2018 Altima SR Midnight Edition does not have LED DRls , the 2017 model did however. I guess Nissan added the Navigation, ACP and AA, heated front seats etc. in place of it. None of the SR models have LED DRls for 2018. Even the standard SL 2018 2.5 model doesn't have them, but it is a feature with the TECH PACKAGE. Also, the headlight for the Altimas equipped with LED DRLs is different from the non equipped ones. In order to get the LED boomerang you have to get the complete headlight. If you look closely at them, you can see they are different.
Good to know. That’s weird it changed from 2017 to 2018. When I was looking at specs on the Nissan sight it showed that the midnight did have the LED headlights with signature. Thanks for the info on the tech package too.
Altima.all thank I mike always.
no one has done a 3.5 SR review.....
Can’t remember for sure but pretty sure for 2018 they only let the SL trim get the 3.5. I’ve seen 2017s have it but I don’t think you can anymore
Dont see any changes compare to 13 SV. I'll wait for the 19 platinum
That 19 Altima is pretty sweet! I’m excited to get behind the wheel
What kind of gas should the 2018 Altima run on?
It only needs regular unleaded, no need for premium gas
Prime Autotainment thank you!
You’re welcome!
Try 110 octane. It’ll run better trust me
SENTRA XL
I’m 14 I’ll have my license in one year and five months I’ll put a 4K payment on it and make a 1k payment on insurance witch should get me about a year or so and make payments it because I plan to have a job my mom also will be helping me to make payments witch with the 4K down payment should give me about 7k left to pay off based on the cost of a 2017 in my area I plan to move out as soon as my cars payed off and help my mom out however I can I have 25k left to me by a family member to use how I wish after a year and a half being out of school I plan to enroll in tattoo school while still working I hope it works
Very cool. That’s an exciting time - getting your license! You got time to think about it but sounds like you have a plan! Drive safe. I was stupid with my first car and totaled it ☹️. Good luck to you and keep working hard!
Putting 4K down is probably the dumbest thing you could do. You still got a lot to learn bro. You need good credit to begin with, if you want to lease a newer 17’ 18’ or 19’ model. Not to mention get a co signer since you’re a minor. I don’t recommend putting down 4K from the start. That wouldn’t change the end price of the car. Msrp is 25k-27k, that’s before the final interest. Depending what percentage of interest you get. I don’t recommend putting down 4K because it wouldn’t change the price of the vehicle. That money would go towards the interest and not the principle at the start. You’d basically be wasting money and your interest would remain the same. I put less of a down payment on mine. What WOULD’VE been part of the down payment is now going towards my monthly payments which will initially bring down my total end interest and the amount I owe every month.
2018 Accord better. I love my 18 Accord Sport. It’s simplistic and stylish in my opinion. Already up 10k miles and it handles corners and speeds up on freeway like no other. Being Cvt, it sounds real good. No exaggeration.
But this Altima...lag in all. Exterior and interior. Until Nissan can release anything real good at all, Honda is life.
I agree that the 2018 Accord is way ahead of the Altima right now. I’ve driven that too and it’s very impressive. Glad you like your sport and thanks for the input!
my accord is a piece of crap needs to be discontinued nissan all the way for sure
cody thompson what happen to your Accord?
Shmokyo either the clown above is trolling or is a crackhead
austin Khan seriously, lol. I see a lot of Altima’s everywhere I go. I love having my Accord, heads turning for days. Just need to bag my Accord and custom lip and I’m solid. Maybe a bigger turbo in the future.
Ok
I have a 2013 Nissan Altima SV model and for this to be a 2018 this sucks. I have the same functions in my 2013 SV, the only difference is the look of the body. Not really impressed.
I picked up a sentra last year with 71k on the clock and found out it has a shiny new (remanned) cvt inside, so I feel like I'm stepping on glass every time I get on the freeway with the damn thing, just waiting for it to break a new second time. Can't wait to get rid of the piece of shit
Dang that stinks. That’s a shame. Hopefully it does well for you with no issues! What do you think you’ll get next?
Prime Autotainment I'm in the market for a tundra since apparently being a welder means people want you to build things for them, but I can't fit a damn thing in this tiny sedan. Having 4 wheel drive in northern Utah is kind of a must when you live around the mountains too. Getting the wife a Subaru since I trust their cvt's a little more and she can't handle snow to save her life. She has a 99 Altima gxe right now and I like driving it more than the '12 sentra for any reason. Nissan was better when they had gears
I agree on Nissan back in the day. Good choice with the Subaru!
I like the tundra. It’s not as “Modern” as the others but it should be reliable and it has plenty of space, power, capability.
Good luck getting your truck...and have fun making stuff for people 👍
I was a Datsun/Nissan guy for more than 30 years until Nissan decided to stop offering stick shits and use those useless CVTs. Since then I am a Honda guy and yes I got a 6-Speed Accord Sport. Heres to hoping Nissan gets back to their senses and offer a 6-Speed manual or at least a non CVT 7 or 8 speed auto. IMHO
Thanks for sharing that! I agree and wish they would offer at least something else. How are you liking the Accord sport?
Prime Autotainment, I was not expecting what I got to say the least. Yes, it is not the most beautiful Accord ever but like others have said once you drive one it shows and feels that indeed it is a better product. Like I said I do long for a 6-Speed Altima or Maxima as I still have a soft spot for Nissans. Just not ones with a CVT.
I agree about how it feels once you drive it, impressed me. Maybe someday they will again, hopefully!
This vehicle is not an '18. It's a '17!
It’s an 18 - they have the same body style until 2019
Nice vedio
I need a job. Pls help me
Thank you! Where do you live? I’m sure you can find something!
hovmac nissan 2 dovzen est
This car a joke its 2018 and no sun roof no heated or cooled seats no blind spot detection really and a lil screen for 24000 what are u really paying for no leather seats like Nissan bogus for this car
Yep ya gotta move up in trim for that stuff. It’s available...but just not on this one. No cooled seats though
@@JustinDwaynee S is the entry trim. SR is next in order above the S, then SV and SL. Those features you name won't be included on lower trims.
Cannot use the word sport in conjunction with a CVT transmission, that's an oxymoron.
CVT is just plain crap.
Nissan still calls the Maxima a “4 door sports car” too
The fact that Infiniti kept the CVT with their all new VC Turbo engine means Infiniti/Nissan are ALL IN on CVTs...I wish there was at least an option for a different transmission
My transmission blew at 15k miles . It was a 2016 Altima SR . CVT is Crap and Nissan is Crap
Sorry to hear that Z FAM702!
CVT’s suck! After a while the transmission gone start slipping and then it’ll start going in theft mode while you’re driving. Do not buy this problem!!!!!!!!!!!
Steering buttons are plastic and cheap and looks and feels cheap
rip off. I have a base 16 everything is exactly the samr
fuck the world 18 you don’t have sport tuned suspension this does, you don’t have paddle shifters this does, nor does the 16 base have prima-Tex appointed leather seats
And no rear USB ports on a 16 base so it’s not the same you’re getting more options with this trim, I never understand why ppl don’t wanna pay a few extra bucks and get more options instead of a basic model🤦🏼♂️
Sport cloth 😂😂
Lol...Nissans’s words. It’s what you get with the “sporty” trim of the Altima 🙂
That cup holder too small
Worked for me but yeah big cup holders are always nice to have
Prime Autotainment I have that same poweraid bottle and I know it so small
I need to start carrying around a fat cup or bottle to test em out
Prime Autotainment I bet a large soda doesn’t fit there neither a big water bottle
Those cupholders are great. Unless you're drinking a double Big Gulp, the cupholders work great.
Too bad I didn't have $30,000 to buy one. Oh well keep dreaming I guess. :/
BlazinNSoul 21k OTD where I'm from. Bakersfield CA
You can definitely negotiate a lot on the Altima right now since 2019 models will be coming soon!!
Way to go International Monarch!
Prime Autotainment Yeah, I thought that was a good deal. I was ready to buy, check in hand. Guy took to long to get back to me. Drove 2 hours for a 17 Subaru legacy 2.5 limited for the same price. Couldn't turn that down. I just wish Subaru would make the same zero gravity seats Nissan puts in theirs.
No kidding the seats are one of my favorite things
International Monarch Trade lol. Good job finding that. :b
I hate my 17 Nissan Altima 🙄🙄
Dang what do you hate about it?
too old-fashioned interior
Yeah it’s dated...looking forward to checking out the 2019s new interiors soon
Awful spec
This car is shitty. The steering feel is just clumsy and unreluable... not promising at all or confidence ehen driving hard.... really scary... can't wait to return it
Sorry man! What do you think you’ll get instead?
Prime Autotainment a Kia Forte
I've owned two in the last 5 yrs.. First one, shame on Nissan.. Second one, shame on me. I don't recommend Nissan to anyone, because the CVT will fail. My first one failed at or around 80 thousand miles.. The second one failed just a few days ago, at 87K. It'll cost you around $3 grand to replace, and once the trans starts to slip, you'll get a P17F0 code.. which won't clear unless you can drive a cycle without the belt slipping. So, you can't sell the thing because everyone knows it's broken.
Not maintaining the CVT, thinking it can be driven in perpetuity without proper care to the CVT, early failure is to be expected.
@@texan903 Maintenance of the fluid will not prevent the metal belt from coming apart. Jatco transmissions are just that bad. Honda's and Toyotas do well, but Nissans.. Nope!
@@damoncrowfeather4655 if the belts and metal components of the CVT are not lubricated properly, meaning maintaining a correct fluid level, it's liable to fail quicker. This is why a CVT service is recommended at 60k miles and at the very least be checked every 30k miles. My Altima has been trouble free and just last week it had a full CVT service, no issues. I am completely satisfied with the car.
@@texan903 That’s your opinion, and you are certainly your right.. but a simple search on Google will show all the many horror stories. Best wishes.
@@damoncrowfeather4655 I've researched it and aside from legitimately poorly manufactured Jatco CVTs from 2013-2014, a lot of the failures have been factually proven to come down to a lack of proper care, maintenance and hard driving. By changing your fluid at 87k, I can see why you would experience a CVT failure.
