I don't want to be _that guy_ but...
The fandom name is InSomnia. Yes, the capital S is important. Insomnia, in this case, is actually 2 conjoined words, "In" and "Somnia, the Latin word for Dreams. So what we end up with is InSomnia, meaning "In Dreams", not insomnia meaning "I can't sleep".
Again, not trying to be a tool, just trying to share some information.

Very briefly. Innocent school girls find a book of magic in the school library. They form a coven and start to experiment with dark magic that opens them to evil. Jiu catches a spider and Yoohyeon burns it with a magnifying glass. This cruel act causes the guardian spirit of spiders (this is from many shamanistic mythologies) to lay a curse on them that turns them into soulless spirits who are tasked with bringing nightmares into peoples dreams. Jiu, the least evil one, closes the school gate locking them inside to protect the world from them. In Chase Me a ghost hunter comes to the abandoned school to try and capture them. They mess with him, giving him nightmares etc. Eventually he breaks into the locked room that contains everything they left behind, including their spell book which he takes to use against them (this isn't shown but it's the logical progression). Continue in Good Night to see the struggle between them.
The "this is" series is an insomnia centerpiece, you'll get a really good sense of what the fans value in/find endearing in each member!

Chase Me was their Debut. And according to the members, it is their hardest Choreo so far. So Chase Me was like literally introducing everyone their signature concept and sound.
Chase Me was their debut, followed up by Good Night. Fly High was the 3rd song they released on their first mini-album. (Also I heard Ateez in there - it's not surprising you found a similarity in the music because they use the same two producers - Leez & Ollounder; and I know at least one of them was responsible for the hard rock feel of Black Cat Nero)
Each of them represents a specific nightmare that's referenced with things they're doing in the MV:
Jiu - nightmare: being chased; she chases the guy down the hallway
Sua - nightmare: being unable to move/sleep paralysis; she doesn't move unless it's in the dance scenes, she's always sitting still
Siyeon - nightmare: being trapped in a small space/claustrophobia; she makes it to where the guy can't get out of the room
Handong - nightmare: being watched; she's looking through the window at him and through the peephole
Yoohyeon - nightmare: being lost in an unfamiliar place; she changes all the room numbers to 808, making the guy lose all sense of direction
Dami - nightmare: being hurt; you never see Dami's face in their colorful outfits, you only ever see her clearly when she's being 'sacrificed', but she ripped the bear's eyes off, which made the guy's eyes 'disappear'
Gahyeon - nightmare: falling from high places; she knocks the books off the shelf - seems anti-climatic, but it's more than made up for in Good Night
Although Fly High isn't one of my favourites, it's still a good song and Chase Me was an epic debut. Dreamcatcher just don't produce bad songs!
If you want some storyline basics, nothing complex, their debut MV was actually Chase Me and then Good Night right after. Though the Dystopia trilogy (the 2020 albums) are different, the initial MVs (up through Piri, though there are theories) are about escaping a nightmare. Each member has their own nightmare/worst fear in the "group lore" if you want to call it that, and there are overlapping theories of the first two MVs actually taking place after Fly High, Piri, and You and I because the girls are spirits/supernatural.

You have to check out "Dodging Disbandment and Other Extreme Sports: A History of Dreamcatcher" Its a great video that explains what DC went through to get to were there are today.
Sadly she made the video right before their Scream comeback which was the start of their blow up honestly. Dystopia eclipsed all their previous sales

There are both guitar _and_ vocals in the background in Fly High (and elsewhere). If you listen carefully to any of their tracks, you'll often hear a second vocal enhancing the primary one; sometimes straight-up doubling it, other times harmonising. That background vocal is almost invariably Siyeon, who is not only a _ridiculous_ vocalist in her own right, but also has a real knack of how to make everyone _else_ sound better, too...
Fly High isn't their debut; that would be Chase Me. Fly High was their third release, after Good Night, but does serve as a _prequel_ to the previous two songs.
Regarding the story, they've never explicitly _explained_ it, leaving it very much open to interpretation as to exactly _how_ the MVs follow on from each other (some follow pretty clearly, like Chase Me into Good Night; others, like What, are quite significantly different), leaving us to speculate our own versions, and some InSomnia think the MVs' plot flows in a different order to the MV _releases._ But Mr Jackpots below has a really good version of _this_ part of the plot...
I'm really looking forward to your reaction to This is... they give you a much better glimpse into what the girls are _really_ like... 😉
So yeah basically music and video wise in Fly High it's supposed to be "brighter" or "happy" because on the story line the events of Fly High take place before the girls become Nightmares (on Chase Me), so even though Chase Me is their debut song, Fly High (3rd mv) is the prequel on the story.
Next, after Chase Me is Good Night.

I Definitely prefer Chase Me over Fly High.
If you ever wanted to react to or simply check out Dreamcatcher choreography videos, I would recommend Piri (ua-cam.com/video/nRm-ChUBnLQ/v-deo.html) for their opening sequence, or Scream (ua-cam.com/video/r16E2utaK3k/v-deo.html) and Boca (ua-cam.com/video/pFzRj5zdz8E/v-deo.html) for how hard hitting they are. You really gotta hand it to the choregraphers. They have done a fantastic job melding the dance moves to the music and the lyrics. There's so many different little moves or set pieces that can be missed which are related to the song.
Such as the opening of Boca, which is a frame within a frame. The dancers are not only framing the members with their positions, but also literally framing them with the flagpoles. Could also link that to social media posts maybe? Since the song is about online trolling and hateful comments generally.
Or Yoohyeon's moves before the chorus hits. She's drawing thunder with her hand movements while singing about dropping thunder.
